00:00This is Outperform Yesterday, presented by Kayaks.
00:04It's what we've all been waiting for. This generation of American and Canadian NHL superstars
00:11will go head-to-head on behalf of their countries and the gold medal game at the 2026
00:16Olympic Games here in Milan. It's been such an amazing tournament so far,
00:21and this just feels like the ending it deserved. The storied USA-Canada rivalry will finally take
00:27center stage at the Olympics after we all got a small taste of it at the Four Nations face-off
00:33tournament this time last year. Canada, of course, won that championship game,
00:37but the Americans took Game 1 in a spirited fashion, if you all remember how that one went.
00:42We'll have to wait and see if two players will be available to participate. USA's Tage Thompson
00:48left Friday's game for what was described as precautionary reasons, and Canada captain Sidney
00:53Crosby was unable to play today versus Finland after he suffered a lower body injury in the
00:58quarterfinals. But as Brady Kachuk said, this is storybook stuff. This is the matchup everyone
01:04wanted. USA hockey has a chance to win gold in men's and women's for the first time ever at the
01:10Olympics, and Canada looks to affirm its international dominance. Follow more for Olympic updates.
