00:00And growing up, Haotong, like golf in China, like there's not a ton of history of just all of these
00:07great Chinese golfers.
00:08Tell me where you first like became to love the game.
00:13Like where did you start?
00:14What was the first thing you saw where you're like, I want to be a professional golfer?
00:18That was one day my father, because my father used to like to play games with his buddy.
00:25And one day his buddy tried to brought his son into play to this game, into this game.
00:33And then his son needs a partner.
00:36That's how I get into this game.
00:38Once I got to the golf course, I was like, wow, this is such a nice facility.
00:45And people treat me like a boss.
00:47Like why, yeah, why, why you don't take me like this, this, this place every weekend.
00:53And so since that day, I just kind of played every weekend with my dad.
00:58Yeah.
00:58And you got, I assume, just like everybody, you got obsessed with golf.
01:03And I've known you over the years, Haotong.
01:05Like you were tough on yourself.
01:07Like you are competitive.
01:09Like you definitely, if you hit a bad shot, you let yourself know about like, Haotong, why am I hitting
01:15it here?
01:16I remember from the Open Championship watching it this year.
01:20So have you always been that way?
01:22Have you always been really tough on yourself and like, like to compete and just win?
01:26Yeah.
01:26Yeah.
01:27I think, yeah, I, I, I used to work super hard on my game.
01:32And I used to like, I don't accept things well, kind of person like that.
01:38But right now I learned a lot, especially during those dark times.
01:43Um, but I still doing that because, but I think, uh, the, the, the, the better I'm doing now, uh,
01:50better than before is, um, is I can accept things a lot better than before.
01:57So, uh, so a lot of calm for the next shot, but I still kind of mad myself during the
02:03shot.
02:04Yeah.
02:05Well, you could, you could be upset with yourself, but also, uh, you could be, you know, the, the happiest
02:12person in the world.
02:12Like we've gotten to experience this in the first five minutes.
02:15You might have the most infectious laugh of all time.
02:18Um, so for you, how, how do you try to be on the golf course and try to have as
02:23much fun as you possibly can and laugh and enjoy the game and, and, uh, and not be so tough
02:28on yourself at times?
02:30Well, I think, uh, I grew up like that.
02:33And, uh, I, people always say, oh, people always say to me, like, I'm too loud on the course as
02:39well.
02:40Even, even yesterday I played in, um, somewhere Riverside, one of a golf course and I was laughing too loud.
02:47And then it's next to D-Buck, where, which is a 80 year, 80 years old man, like shouting at
02:54me as well.
02:55And I was embarrassing.
02:58And then, and then I was like, ah, probably I need to go calm a little bit.
03:02Um, yeah, but, but I, I just, I just enjoy this game too much.
03:07What were you laughing about yesterday?
03:08I think, uh, I think we play a game and one of the guy, um, one of the guy just
03:13missed something like a foot putt.
03:16And the fish is both laughing our mouths out.
