00:37dahin ungekannten Maß an Komfort kombinierte.
02:55There is nothing more fun than being in a 60s vehicle with modern drive and suspension.
03:16Hi there, it's Rachel with Vigilante. And today I'm going to discuss our newest build,
03:23the Super Wagoneer. These are incredibly special vehicles because they were only made for about
03:31two years. And at some point they were the most luxurious four-wheel drive vehicle on the planet,
03:40dare I say. They kind of paved the road for luxury 4x4 vehicles to expand and kind of become the
03:48new
03:49norm. So let's take this baby for a ride. First, we're going to start by disengaging the e-brake.
03:57And you'll notice over here, what used to be just warning lights, we 3d printed the casing, took the
04:04same font that were the warning, the original warning lights, and we turned them into functional buttons
04:11that now engage and disengage the emergency brake and roll up and lower your tailgate window.
04:22Parking brake disengaged. Are you ready?
04:30We were really excited to do this vehicle. One, because they are so incredibly rare and they're just
04:42beautiful. It's like a jewel almost. So shiny with miles and miles of grow. A metal dash that just screams
04:53the 60s.
04:56And all kinds of gorgeous and beautiful detail on the inside. And for the Super Wagoneer,
05:06one of the biggest defining features was their sensor console. Because at that point, Jeep was only doing
05:18bench seating in the Wagoneer. And so this was where they finally split it and they put this glorious
05:30center console in the middle with your chrome clock and your leather armrest. And it's just a long
05:42feature that goes from front to back. And technology today has allowed us to 3d print this center console
05:58and add our functionality into it. And one of the big things that we did, which may seem like a
06:04small beat,
06:05but it was no small beat, I guarantee you, is that we put in, this is a manual transmission.
06:14Jeeps have manual transitions and that's correct, but not the Super Wagoneer.
06:20So when we 3d printed this center console, we had to do it so that it would hold
06:29the manual stick, but still look like it came from the 1960s when the car was remade. And it's just
06:39a
06:40beautiful piece. And not only does it hold the manual stick, but it also holds the ducts to get AC
06:50to the back.
06:52So lots of things that when you step into the car, it looks original, but it has been taken up
07:02to the next level.
07:04And we're so pumped to get this beauty on the road.
07:11It's incredible because sitting in here, everything is time period correct.
07:18But she handles very, like a modern vehicle in her pickup and go.
07:29So, I mean, listen to that SRT8, amazing. It's a fun car to drive.
07:39As I mentioned before, these vehicles were only made for about two years probably because
07:44they were so luxury at the time, it was too expensive to continue to make.
07:51And not only when you look at the outside, you see, I mean, literally miles of chrome on this thing,
07:57she just sparkles down the road. And those gorgeous pastel colors that were part of that time period.
08:08We have the gun sights on the front. That's also a very prominent feature that makes the Super Wagoneer so
08:17special.
08:19And the seating is so comfortable. Well done, Liz.
08:25The wheels were also something spectacular because they had spinners on them.
08:31And if you follow Vigilante, then you know that we have the bigger wheels to accommodate the more powerful brakes
08:38because we do put the new modern engines in them and you need a lot more stopping power.
08:44Safety first.
08:47So, each wheel was taken from a big chunk of aluminum
08:55and carved out of that big chunk of aluminum. And we also had to do the same with the spinner
09:02on the outside.
09:05And when this thing is in motion, those wheels and that spinner, I mean, literally,
09:12it's like going back in time. But underneath the hood is an SRT8 with a lot of get up and
09:21go power.
09:23And I'll let you hear that for yourself.
09:42Really, for me, one of the big things about having a Vigilante vehicle is the dependability
09:50and the go power to be able to get on these bigger roads and freeways
09:58and feel like you have the same power as every vehicle on that road.
10:04It's a huge plus.
10:06But then you stand out from every vehicle on that road because of the vintage look.
10:13And this one is incredibly special.
10:18The Super Wagoneer came before the wood grain.
10:25And instead of the wood grain, you have this like chain mail effect.
10:30Very thin line of it surrounded by chrome.
10:33So, these vehicles are incredibly hard to find all the pieces, all the parts, as you can imagine.
10:41So, we just feel very fortunate that we were able to do one of them in our lifetime.
10:52Maybe two, maybe two, if I have my way.
10:57Looking at this metal dash,
11:01again, you really wouldn't know
11:07all of the features that have been added to it.
11:10And the gauge cluster has been updated to drive with the SRT8.
11:18And the things that agreed are more up-to-date.
11:23You've got your fuel, you've got your temp, you've got your speed, of course.
11:30And then we move over to the AC.
11:32The AC ducts we 3D printed and just made the AC more robust in the entire vehicle.
11:42The radio has your old school push buttons, but it has your new school Bluetooth functionality.
11:54You can play Bluetooth from any of your devices.
12:00And there's something so cool about this.
12:04The steering wheels from the 1960s, all metal with the finger grips on them.
12:14And this one's no exception.
12:19It's a beautiful piece to the vehicle in and of itself.
12:26We've really enjoyed this build.
12:29It has been one discovery and one problem to solve after another.
12:36Technology has just come so far that has allowed us
12:43to, you know, what you can't find with new old stock,
12:47you can now 3D prints.
12:51Or if you need another functionality,
12:54you can keep the same language of that design and 3D print it
13:00to keep the time period correct, but hold the modern functionality.
13:08Hey buddy, are you okay?
13:12Welcome to Texas, y'all.
13:26Thank y'all for coming on this ride with me.
