A 27-year-old employee of HDFC Bank lost her life after being struck by a speeding motorcycle on Dr Rajkumar Road in Bengaluru.

Victim Identified:
The deceased has been identified as Yogeshwari (27), a resident of Kempegowda Layout near Laggere. She was working at HDFC Bank in the city.

The accident occurred around 12:30 pm on Monday when Yogeshwari stepped out with a colleague to collect a food parcel from a nearby eatery.

How the Accident Occurred:
According to preliminary reports, Yogeshwari and her colleague were attempting to cross Dr Rajkumar Road. While her colleague paused midway to allow traffic from one direction to pass, Yogeshwari moved ahead, apparently estimating she could cross before an approaching vehicle.

At that moment, a speeding Bullet motorcycle allegedly struck her with significant force. The impact threw her onto the road, causing severe head and bodily injuries.

She was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital but succumbed to excessive blood loss.

Rider Injured:
The motorcycle rider, identified as Deepan (21), also fell during the collision and sustained injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Police Action:
The Rajajinagar Traffic Police conducted a spot inspection and registered a case. The body has been shifted to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigation suggests overspeeding as the primary cause of the accident. Authorities are continuing their probe to determine all contributing factors.

Yogeshwari’s sudden death has left her family, colleagues, and local community in deep mourning.
