00:01We have seen additional New South Wales police join this search this morning in Glenory,
00:08about 45 kilometres north-west of the Sydney CBD, very much on the urban fringe of the city.
00:15We have seen detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, as well as officers from
00:21the New South Wales Riot Squad join the scene this morning.
00:25We understand that those search operations that have been running in earnest since about 6pm last night
00:31are due to kick off once again this morning with a very strong police presence indeed.
00:36Now, this particular location, which is about 500 metres down Vesperman's Road behind us here,
00:42New South Wales police have been scouring in relation to that property in Jural,
00:49a short distance from where we are now, about 15 kilometres away,
00:52that New South Wales police raided last Thursday evening.
00:57Over the course of the following Friday, New South Wales police did reveal that they believe
01:02that that property in Jural that the ABC understands had effectively been abandoned for multiple years
01:09was used as a makeshift fortress by those alleged kidnappers.
01:13In fact, the New South Wales police say a video that they allege does show Mr Bagsarian
01:19that was allegedly filmed and distributed by his captors earlier in the week
01:24was filmed at that particular abandoned home in Jural, the New South Wales police,
01:29confirming at a press conference last Friday that they were able to effectively geolocate
01:33that particular property from the vision that they found.
01:38Now, while they are yet to make a definitive link between these two locations,
01:43we do understand that they are related.
01:46Now, we did also see last Tuesday a Corolla, a small hatchback vehicle,
01:51was found burnt out in Westmead in Sydney's west.
01:55Police believe that that particular vehicle was linked to that Jural address.
01:59Now, here in Glenory, New South Wales police are particularly focusing on a vacant block
02:04and adjoining bushland.
02:06We've been watching the New South Wales police come in and out of this police tape behind us
02:10throughout the morning.
02:12Last night, we saw the dog unit as well as Polair joining this investigation.
02:17We are expecting to see a pretty strong showing of New South Wales police investigators
02:22throughout the morning.
02:24Now, as it stands, police believe that Mr Bagsarian was essentially the victim
02:28of a tragic case of mistaken identity.
02:31Police believe those who allegedly kidnapped him on February 13
02:36and ripped him from his bed in North Ryde
02:39were potentially looking to target another family
02:42with alleged links to the Alamedine criminal network.
02:46Now, as it stands, there is no further information
02:48on Mr Bagsarian's apparent condition or his known whereabouts,
02:53as well as the fact that there have been no arrests
02:56in relation to that alleged kidnapping.
02:58But we are expecting to hear further details from police at midday today.
