00:00All right, are you excited?
00:03It's delightful to see all of you.
00:06As mentioned, my name is Samira Panabaktyar.
00:09I'm the general manager of our media, entertainment, games, and sports industry at AWS,
00:15and I'm delighted to moderate today's session with the very, very amazing Ruth Boscombe,
00:20who I have the privilege of calling a friend now.
00:23Before we dive into the panel,
00:26I did want to take a moment to really ground the audience in the relationship that AWS and Formula One
00:32have.
00:33We believe that Formula One is one of our most innovative customers.
00:36They work with AWS across broadcasts, streaming, multi-channel monetization, as well as advanced fan engagement.
00:44And one of the ways that I think makes them so special is their ability to leverage a wide array
00:48of AWS services,
00:50inclusive of a full stack of gendered AI services from AWS to help with very practical,
00:55as well as very delightful outcomes for the teams, for the operators, as well as the fans alike.
01:02So we're going to really dig into that today in the conversation.
01:05I also am very excited to announce that this year, 2025, marks the 75th year of Formula One, right?
01:14So we're very excited to continue to see advancement across the sport.
01:20Now, as we transition into the conversation here today and talk a bit more about how AWS and Formula One
01:26are working together
01:27to create these outcomes, I wanted to play a quick little sizzle reel to ground the audience
01:32and the ways in which this technology can be used to really tell a very, very compelling story.
01:37So let's go ahead and run that reel.
02:08Good job.
15:09So it's just phenomenal
18:17plus, you know, experienced employees, more or less,
18:20but it's all about efficiency.
18:22So using the latest, greatest technology
18:24has changed over the last 75 years.
18:27And right now, it's generative AI.
18:29Being able to do more with less,
18:31being able to gain that 0.1% on your competitor
18:34in Formula One really is the difference
18:36between winning and losing.
18:38And, you know, I do love Emily Bozerup's theorem
18:41that necessity is the mother of invention
18:42and embracing the next way
18:44of being able to get that marginal gain
18:46ahead of your competitor really is the difference
18:48between standing on the top step of the podium
18:50and not quite making it.
18:52Well, I think that's very sage advice,
18:54and I think it comes back down to the practicality
18:56of having a very modern data strategy,
18:58which isn't as exciting as the sport itself,
19:01but it becomes a necessity
19:02and a foundational underpinning
19:04to be able to deliver the outcomes
19:06that Ruth and Formula One have been able to.
19:10So with that, I want to thank you all for your attention.
19:13Was this a great session?
19:14Isn't she brilliant?
19:15Yeah?
19:19Yeah, and for all the Formula One fans out there,
19:21you can expect more and more coming
19:23based off of the innovation
19:24that they're able to drive across the sport.
19:26Thank you for the time, Viva Tech.
19:29Thank you.
19:31Thank you.
19:32Thank you.
19:32Thank you.
