00:00The Qatar Sprint here on this Saturday evening, it's lights out and away we go, Lando Norris gets

00:07away well, George Russell gets away well and it's Lando Norris who's going to lead them

00:11into Turn 1, Oscar Piastri is battling away with Russell, here comes Lewis Hamilton on the inside

00:16trying to get past Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris leads, Oscar Piastri force wide but squeezes

00:21through and it's a McLaren 1-2, George Russell is down to third, Carlos Sainz runs fourth,

00:26Lewis Hamilton is ahead of Charles Leclerc and Ferrari having a disappointment, Mercedes having

00:32a disappointment, positions swapping in the opening stages, Charles Leclerc who is well

00:38trailing behind Lewis Hamilton and Hamilton trying to get past Carlos Sainz but look how close

00:42George Russell is under DRS to Oscar Piastri and almost, almost for one second getting a chance

00:48into Turn 1, here we go George Russell with the DRS wide open, yeah he is closing, he is closing,

00:52is he going to have a go, yes he is going to have a go, down the inside goes George Russell

00:57by half a car length, Oscar Piastri was ahead and stays ahead and George Russell all over the

01:02rear wing of that McLaren, just a lap of the race so far for George Russell there

01:09well you tell me, he's got to turn in, he's got the corner but they didn't make contact

01:13and George was braking super late so that just proves that there was enough space for both of them

01:18maybe the helicopter shot could give us a better clue but that is a brilliant start for Lewis

01:23Hamilton getting past Max Verstappen and towards the first corner what happens to Verstappen, he

01:28loses even more places on that opening lap, the two, he gets compromised behind the two Ferraris

01:33he did and it looked like Hülkenberg was about to run at the back of him, he's still got the

01:37space but he runs wide there through Turn 2, loses the rear and Hülkenberg's through

01:41yeah the two Ferraris with Carlos Sainz ahead of Charles Leclerc really costing themselves a

01:46little bit, we can watch now from the rear of Carlos Sainz's Ferrari and that's Lewis Hamilton

01:54coming at him very quickly indeed, you can see there the Ferraris just have to put the brakes on

02:00oh he got a bit of oversteer didn't he, Charles there and Carlos on his run in the back of him

02:06on board with Max Verstappen that's where he runs wide, yeah sorry it was the other way around it

02:10was Carlos that had a bit of oversteer almost swapped ends but yeah it was very

02:15slippy on those first few corners wasn't it, yeah oversteer is an understatement

02:21it's like back to Vegas again as Pierre Gasly then zipped right past him and not much grip at all

02:28meanwhile in real time George Russell closing in on Oscar Piastri again and that's the bit where

02:34he said he turned in on me, it looked like they actually touched there didn't it, yeah

02:38because Oscar got a little bit of oversteer off the apex so I'm not sure if they actually

02:43touched there it'd be interesting to see if we have a different angle, ahead of Piastri ahead of

02:46Russell ahead of Sainz ahead of Hamilton in the top five pulling away from Charles Leclerc and

02:50Max Verstappen going for it down the inside on Pierre Gasly simple as you like Max Verstappen

02:57up into eighth place who uh just under a second this was Sergio Perez the light was green

03:03go when you want Sergio when the light's green took off and that's how he got overtaken by Franco

03:08Colopinso are you yeah that that was go go well the light's green so why wouldn't he go but the

03:16funny thing was it looked like he was feeding the clutch but just didn't do it like a race though

03:21sadly he almost has DRS to Russell so if you can do maybe a tenth quicker that would help

03:27that's behind Lewis Hamilton Charles Leclerc is a lot closer than he has been in the last couple

03:32of laps and this is how he's gaining with DRS and they're wheel to wheel and touching going

03:37through turn one they continue the battle on we swoop left-handed gives Hamilton the advantage

03:43but Leclerc's got the speed goes around the outside fabulous move from Charles Leclerc to

03:49get past Lewis Hamilton up to fifth Fred Hamilton's coming back at him and Leclerc has to keep it fair

03:55and clean and tight to hold on to that fifth place but the Ferrari had that pace advantage

04:00take us through this one Jenson yeah he's he's pulled out for the move very late this is all

04:05done on braking that is not the DRS DRS had helped on entry but it's all braking and look how close

04:10they are just running side by side I thought Lewis had it here but Charles was able to hold on around

04:16the outside here to be fair Lewis did give him room but he did have a slight advantage on entry

04:21there Charles with having a you know front wing in front but Russell is now gaining on Oscar Piastri

04:27who hasn't got DRS and this could be crucial for McLaren and for Piastri George Russell thought

04:32there was a gap there very quickly the gap wasn't there and Piastri manages to hang on to second

04:38place and if Russell didn't like the move before when he thought Piastri turned in on him I doubt

04:44he's gonna like that either me that was late twice now

04:51Oscar hasn't got DRS here comes George Russell into turn one goes George Russell and Oscar

04:56Piastri stays ahead by a crucial car length he stays ahead on what looks like the only overtaking

05:04spot on the track tonight he's had a very good view of that rear wing of Oscar Piastri's but

05:09that's what he's been looking at all race out in front it's been clear track for Lando Norris here

05:14tonight and Lando Norris allows Oscar Piastri to win the sprint McLaren reversed it right at the end

05:21after Oscar Piastri gave Lando Norris the victory by swapping over in Sao Paolo well he's returned

05:28the favor here tonight it's team orders team rivalry forgotten it's team harmony at McLaren

05:36and a massive smile for Zach Brown because in the constructors battle a one-two finish for McLaren

05:43is exactly what Zach ordered for tonight well that was an unbelievably well controlled race
