00:00Bonjour et bienvenue à tous.
00:03Je vous ai dit à tous.
00:04Donc, si vous n'avez pas encore un peu,
00:06vous devez vous devez bien.
00:06Les gens qui sont plus loin,
00:08vous avez un des seites.
00:10J'ai à tous les attirés.
00:12Allons-y, tout nous voulons à tous les détails,
00:14nous voulons à tous les détails.
00:15Nous voulons donc à tous lesquels
00:20d'autres vidéos.
00:21Nous voulons les trois start-ups
00:23tous les services et les futures
00:25So obviously this is, yeah, we all know where this would go.
00:31This is a supermarket solution by a startup called Knap,
00:39and here to tell you more is Amin.
00:56Hi, everyone. My name is Amin Youssef, and I am a project manager at Knap.
01:01Knap is a French startup created and based in the south of France
01:06in the beautiful city of Villeneuve-Loubet.
01:09So we've been, since 2018, working and developing for you guys
01:15a new way to do your grocery shopping.
01:18So before telling you all about this bad boy,
01:21let me tell you how we had the idea.
01:24Yeah. So we all went once in our lifetime on our grocery trip,
01:31went grocery shopping.
01:32So we all know how it went.
01:35We go to a store, we take a shopping trolley,
01:38then we stroll through the alleys, pick the products,
01:41put them in the shopping cart,
01:43then once we're done, we go all the way to the checkout line,
01:47we have to wait for our turn,
01:48then take each and every product out of the shopping trolley,
01:52put them on the counter for the cashier to scan them,
01:55and then once each and every product is scanned,
01:58we can put them back in our shopping cart,
02:02and then we can pay.
02:03There is too many steps, way too many.
02:06So it is an outdated shopping experience,
02:09and we all go grocery shop after work or during the weekend
02:15because we don't have time.
02:17It creates customer traffic at the checkout lines,
02:21which generates frustration amongst the customer
02:24and impacts the store personnel with a lot of stress.
02:28None of them ask for it.
02:30So how can we make things better
02:32for both of the customer and the store personnel?
02:37So we came up with a simple yet effective idea,
02:40the connected shopping cart,
02:41or we like to call it the knob cart,
02:43more simple that way.
02:45So what is it?
02:46As you can see, it's a shopping trolley,
02:49and a connected shopping trolley,
02:50a French design shopping cart
02:52with a Neo Retro design
02:54that we've equipped with a motherboard
02:57for our software to run on it.
03:01We've equipped it with a scanner to scan the product,
03:04a screen display to display information directly
03:07to the customer,
03:09a touch screen so that the customer can interact
03:11with the shopping cart,
03:14four weight sensors to manage the shopping session,
03:18and two cameras,
03:19and a battery to keep it all alive.
03:22So how does it work?
03:24A fast and easy sign-in process.
03:26For you guys, to create an account,
03:28you only need three things.
03:30A phone number,
03:31to quickly think of a four-digit password,
03:34and a store loyalty card.
03:37If you don't have one, not a problem.
03:39You can also create one directly on the shopping cart.
03:43So once I've created my account,
03:46I can log in using my phone number.
03:48This is my real phone number, by the way.
03:51Don't call me.
03:54So once I've logged in,
03:57I can start my shopping session,
04:00and there's a little tutorial.
04:04There's a little tutorial
04:05that the cart is helping me to use it.
04:08So it asks me to scan the product.
04:11Once it is scanned,
04:13it is identified and added to my shopping session.
04:19So it is added to my shopping session.
04:22So I don't have to take every and each product out of the shopping cart
04:26and put them on the register.
04:28So I can add another product
04:31and put it in my cart.
04:33It's going to identify it.
04:35It's going to...
04:36The weight sensor is going to identify that the weight went up,
04:39so it's going to add automatically my product
04:41to my shopping session.
04:43So to withdraw a product,
04:47I click on this button.
04:50First, I click on that one.
04:51Then I click on this button.
04:52I take my product,
04:53scan it,
04:54and it's deleted from my shopping session.
04:59We also have some cool features for the customer.
05:03We can know how healthy
05:05and what the detailed composition of a product is
05:07by clicking on this button.
05:10So it's going to tell me
05:11how healthy my Coke bottle is.
05:14Not a surprise for anyone.
05:16It's not healthy at all.
05:17It's going to tell me how much sugar is in it,
05:19how much calories it's in it.
05:21And we can also do it with every product.
05:23Here is a healthy option.
05:27It gave us allergens.
05:28If you guys are allergic to gluten,
05:31I mean, you eat gluten-free
05:32or allergic to eggs,
05:34it's going to give you this information.
05:35And it's going to give you a lot more information,
05:37such as the protein intake,
05:39the fiber intake,
05:40how much sugar or fat there's in it,
05:42or how much calories for 100 grams of pasta.
05:47I can also add my fruits or vegetables
05:51because I have the supermarket fruit and vegetables list.
05:56As you can see here,
05:58there's an alphabetical order.
05:59So if we're looking for mango,
06:01just scroll, look for M,
06:03and there's the mango.
06:06So this is the new way to do grocery shopping.
06:10How about gaining some time
06:12but not going to the checkout line?
06:14So we can pay,
06:15whenever we are,
06:17we can pay on the card
06:18using the e-payment,
06:19using your credit card.
06:20It's safe and secure
06:21because the validation of the payment
06:23is done on your bank application.
06:28or if I don't have my credit card on me
06:30or my phone battery died,
06:32I can also choose the traditional payment,
06:36which is the payment on a cash register.
06:39All I have to do is scan the barcode
06:41and then it's going to transfer
06:42the whole shopping session
06:44from the shopping cart,
06:46from the Knapp cart,
06:47to the cash register.
06:49And then I can pay using cash.
06:53So that was for fast and easy
06:55sign-in login process,
06:57a new way to do grocery shopping
06:58and multiple payment system.
07:00So to summarize,
07:02what we've done since 2018
07:04is the integration of our digital environment.
07:08That's the login, sign-in process,
07:10the creation of the account,
07:12the product identification,
07:15the product add and withdrawal,
07:17and also the detailed product composition
07:19so that you can choose what to eat,
07:22what option, healthy or not,
07:24and to know if there's a product
07:26that respects your diet,
07:28such as vegan diet, gluten-free diet.
07:30So what we have in store
07:32is what to come for 2022 and 2023
07:35is some cool features for you guys.
07:38The first one is shopping list.
07:40You can add or download your shopping list
07:43directly from your smartphone to the Knapp cart.
07:47It's going to preview the whole list of products.
07:50It's going to give you how many products,
07:52the quantity of products you're going to have,
07:54and it's going to even preview
07:55how much you're going to pay in total.
07:58So there's no surprise.
08:00And if you do not scan or add each and every product,
08:03it's not going to block you.
08:04You're still going to get to the payment process.
08:07And the second one is my favorite.
08:09It's called recipes.
08:11When you guys can,
08:12there's nothing on it yet,
08:14but it's going to be a little recipe functionality right here.
08:18When you guys can search through our search bar
08:22for let's say I want to get some sushi tonight
08:24and I'm in the supermarket,
08:26I'm going to look for the recipe I fancy,
08:29how many people I'm going to cook it,
08:32and then it's going to download how much product
08:35and the list of products that I will need
08:37to cook, prepare some sushi for me and my friends.
08:46So that's it for the Knapp cart.
08:49I thank you guys for listening.
08:51And if you have some questions,
08:54we have a minute left.
08:55Yes, yes, we do.
08:56Absolutely.
08:57Yeah.
08:57So please, any questions for Amin?
08:59That would be great.
09:01And thanks for the applause.
09:06Questions?
09:08No?
09:09I have a question.
09:11So I don't know if you spoke about this,
09:13but in the case when people don't like,
09:17if they want to try to take something out
09:19and they don't want to pay for it, you know?
09:22The Knapp cart, using the weight sensor,
09:25is going to give you an alert first
09:26that you've withdrawn a product
09:29without entering the withdrawn mode.
09:31So yeah, in the case someone is shoplifting,
09:32that's what I, that's my question.
09:34Or just forgot to scan the,
09:35or click on the button.
09:36And it works also if you put a product
09:38in your shopping cart without scanning,
09:41it's going to give you a little alert.
09:42So it says,
09:43please take back the product
09:44and scan it before putting it in your Knapp cart.
09:47All I have to do is scan it,
09:49put it in,
09:50and it's added to my shopping session.
09:52Okay.
09:53All right.
09:54Well, listen, we're out of time.
09:55It's bang on, zero, zero, zero.
09:57Thank you very much, Amin.
09:58Thank you, everybody.
09:59Thank you.
10:03Thank you.
10:05Good.
10:06So next,
10:07this we have from Geneva.
10:20There's something quite cool
10:21about walking around this event
10:22with a shopping cart,
10:23you know,
10:23like you're going to buy
10:24like loads of stuff.
10:31Actually, anyone made any purchases here so far?
10:34No?
10:34No one's bought them
10:35from a helicopter?
10:36No?
10:37Nothing?
10:40Okay.
10:41So are you ready for the next pitch?
10:42Yes?
10:43Yes!
10:44Okay, good.
10:45Yes, thank you.
10:46That's good.
10:47All right.
10:48So these guys are from Geneva.
10:49They're called Studio Co.
10:51And they've got this nifty little pot here.
10:55called the Team Pod.
10:55And it's a solution
10:56to the ever-increasing need
10:59for hybrid work
11:00and actually effective
11:02and comfortable hybrid work.
11:04Here to tell you more
11:05is Studio Co.
11:07Thank you.
11:08Video, please.
11:09This is Co,
11:10the first 360 device
11:12for flexible telepresence.
11:15It has four screens,
11:17four cameras,
11:18and a great 360 sound.
11:21We redefine telepresence
11:23with 360-eye contact.
11:26Your conversations
11:28right in the center
11:29of the perfect place.
11:34Superpowers
11:35for your hybrid workers,
11:36wherever they are.
11:40Yes.
11:42So my name is Raphael.
11:43I'm based in Geneva.
11:45And we are an experienced design studio
11:47and also manufacturing.
11:50And the idea is to improve
11:52medium meeting rooms
11:53for hybrid work.
11:55Just to make sure
11:57that you understand
11:58the form factor,
11:59it comes with four screens
12:00replicating the same view.
12:02so I can be anywhere
12:05and visualize
12:06my remote colleagues.
12:10So if there is only one person,
12:13I'm going to see
12:13four times one person.
12:15If I have 25 person here,
12:17I'm going to see the same here,
12:1925, 25, 25.
12:21Is that clear?
12:23Great.
12:23And it's coming
12:24with four cameras.
12:26So I can be anywhere
12:27and distant people
12:29will see me.
12:30It's coming also
12:31with four speakers
12:32so I can have
12:33the sound directly.
12:35But first,
12:35why this form factor?
12:39It's to support
12:40hybrid work.
12:41Hybrid work,
12:42who's working
12:44in hybrid work mode?
12:45Maybe I'm going to start
12:46with the first question.
12:47Who's working
12:48all days
12:49at the office?
12:50just raise your hand.
12:52Oh,
12:54sorry for you.
12:55Who's working
12:56from home
12:57every day?
13:00Okay,
13:01so the rest
13:02is logically
13:03hybrid working.
13:05Hybrid work
13:06is the opportunity
13:07to reduce
13:08CO2 emissions.
13:09Five percent.
13:11We are talking
13:12about airplanes
13:12all day long,
13:14but come on,
13:15stop taking your car
13:17to go to the office,
13:18just stay home,
13:19that's the best way
13:19to reduce
13:20CO2 emissions
13:22and you can then
13:23travel a bit more.
13:26It's also
13:28quite a challenge
13:30because you have
13:30people at the office,
13:32you have people
13:33at home,
13:35and the experience
13:36is today
13:38the worst,
13:39in fact.
13:40It's the most
13:41uncomfortable.
13:43Imagine,
13:44if I'm looking
13:45at this screen
13:47with a camera
13:49below,
13:49first I have to
13:50stay
13:51in a strange
13:52position.
13:54After a while
13:55I'm going to
13:55start to discuss
13:56with my colleague
13:57here,
13:58and my colleagues
13:59there,
13:59they won't see
14:00my face anymore.
14:01Or if I'm looking
14:03at them,
14:03the person here
14:05won't see my face
14:06anymore.
14:07so it's a question
14:08of ergonomics,
14:10which is something
14:11I suffered for six years.
14:13I was walking
14:13between Geneva
14:14and Brussels
14:16and I was trying
14:17to have contact
14:17with my distant
14:18colleagues
14:19and that's the
14:20reason why
14:20we designed
14:21this solution.
14:25after two years
14:26people coming
14:27back to HQ
14:28they want
14:28to see
14:29colleagues,
14:30they want
14:31to have
14:31the gallery view.
14:32So the market
14:33now is
14:34what they are
14:35trying to do
14:36is to put
14:36two displays
14:39but it's
14:39still uncomfortable
14:41or you can
14:42have also
14:42the vision
14:42where you have
14:43face to screen
14:45but then you
14:46come to HQ
14:47and you find
14:49yourself in front
14:50of another screen.
14:51So basically
14:51you are spending
14:52your whole day
14:52in front of a screen
14:53which is not
14:54the idea.
14:56The reason
14:57why we come
14:58with a device
14:59in the middle
15:00of the conversation
15:01is to make sure
15:02you always have
15:03your colleagues
15:04right in front
15:05of you.
15:07And in fact
15:08it's giving
15:08superpowers
15:10because by being
15:11in the center
15:11they have more
15:12presence
15:13than others.
15:16Once you
15:16experience it
15:17after five minutes
15:18you are like
15:18oh my god
15:19the guy can
15:20stay home
15:21and he's not
15:22feeling guilty
15:22about it.
15:23In fact
15:24he has more
15:25power
15:25because he's
15:27in the center
15:27and he can
15:28facilitate
15:29he can be
15:30a good leader
15:31and it's
15:32symmetrical
15:32meaning
15:33for people
15:35who are in
15:36persons
15:37for them
15:37it's a normal
15:38meeting
15:39fully physical
15:40fully normal
15:41because others
15:42are in the center
15:43and for the people
15:44who are at home
15:45it's like a fully
15:47distributed call
15:48like during the
15:48COVID
15:49so it's a win-win
15:50for both sides
15:54four cameras
15:55as I said
15:56it means that
15:58distant people
15:59they always see
16:00my face
16:00in the right
16:01angle
16:02even if I'm
16:03looking at others
16:04they can still
16:04see my
16:05if I'm saying
16:06yes or no
16:07all those kind
16:08of weak signals
16:09which are
16:10super important
16:12I mean
16:13conversation
16:14it's when you
16:15address a problem
16:16it's when you
16:17have issues
16:18you want to
16:19see people
16:20if you turn
16:21off your camera
16:22it means that
16:23you are
16:23disengaged
16:24so now
16:25to really
16:26make sure
16:27that you can
16:27address in a
16:28very fast way
16:29you need to
16:30see your
16:30colleagues
16:31because like
16:32this you
16:32understand
16:32what they
16:33feel
16:36it's not
16:37expensive
16:37but it's
16:38not cheap
16:38neither
16:39in fact
16:40it's an
16:40opportunity
16:41by doing
16:43hybrid work
16:43it's an
16:44opportunity
16:44to do
16:45space cuts
16:46imagine
16:47you can
16:48spare
16:484,000 euros
16:49per employee
16:50if you
16:51reduce
16:51by 30%
16:53your
16:54space
16:55allocation
16:55and
16:57in comparison
16:58this device
16:59cost only
17:0040 euros
17:01per year
17:01so it's
17:03really a
17:03fraction
17:03of the
17:04price
17:04if you
17:04reduce
17:05the space
17:06the real
17:06estate
17:07space
17:07so
17:08in fact
17:09the price
17:09doesn't
17:09matter
17:10anymore
17:10what's
17:11matter
17:11is to
17:12have
17:12a
17:12really
17:13really
17:13good
17:13experience
17:14for
17:14hybrid
17:14work
17:17so
17:18where we
17:18are
17:18now
17:20pre-series
17:21starting
17:21the pre-series
17:24we
17:24plan to do
17:25the mass
17:25production

19:43come on
19:43meeting rooms
19:44are quite
19:44calm
19:45so you
19:45it's
19:46it's like

19:47I can
19:47really hear
19:48others
19:49without
19:49any
19:50issue

19:51it's a
19:51standard speaker
19:52technology
19:52it's not
19:53it's not
19:53a kind
19:53of
19:54how could

20:10it's
20:10passive
20:11plus
20:11an
20:11active
20:12part
20:12and
20:12everything
20:12is
20:13sealed
20:13so you
20:14don't
20:14have
20:14to
20:14do
20:14your
20:15audio
20:16calculation
20:16everything
20:17is
20:17sold
20:18as is
20:19with
20:19high
20:20quality
20:20and
20:20high
20:21bandwidth
20:21okay
20:22good
20:22so similar
20:23quality
20:24to
20:24soundbars
20:24yeah
20:25okay
20:25all right
20:26thanks
20:26any other
20:27questions
20:28for these
20:29guys
20:30yeah
20:31great
20:32thanks
20:35hello
20:36what about
20:37screen sharing
20:38you know
20:38when you have
20:39some meeting
20:39you need
20:40to share
20:41some documentation
20:43what about
20:44the meeting
20:45presentation
20:46not here
20:47otherwise
20:47the idea
20:48is doomed
20:49so yes
20:50you need
20:51a TV
20:51for the content
20:52for the slides
20:53for the
20:53financial reports
20:54definitely
20:55you need
20:55that big
20:56TV
20:56but you
20:57don't want
20:58content
20:58here
20:58otherwise
20:59you won't
20:59see anymore
21:00the people
21:00who are
21:01remote
21:01so there
21:02is a
21:02computer
21:03inside
21:03so you
21:04connect
21:05the TV
21:05to this
21:06device
21:07and automatically
21:09faces
21:10gonna be
21:10here
21:10and content
21:11there
21:13that's
21:14supported
21:15in fact
21:15by Microsoft
21:16team rooms
21:16and zoom
21:17rooms
21:18and maybe
21:19one detail
21:19which is
21:20important
21:22with the
21:23four cameras
21:24zoom
21:25they are
21:26quite
21:26powerful
21:27because
21:27they
21:28detect
21:28faces
21:29and instead
21:30to
21:30how could
21:31I say
21:32to provide
21:33the vision
21:34of the
21:35full
21:35wide angle
21:36they do
21:37what they
21:37call
21:38smart framing
21:39smart focus
21:40so like this
21:41they can
21:41rebalance
21:42every faces
21:43to have
21:44the right
21:44sizes
21:45like this
21:46gallery view
21:47for remote
21:48people
21:49and in-person
21:50people
21:51the same size
21:52everywhere
21:52and I think
21:54Microsoft
21:54gonna also
21:55implement this
21:55and that's
21:57the reason
21:57why to have
21:58four cameras
21:58it's also
21:59to capture
21:59the best
22:00resolution
22:00and to make
22:01sure that
22:01all people
22:02can see
22:02very well
22:03each other
22:03for instance
22:04when you
22:04are in
22:05speaker mode
22:05to make
22:06sure that
22:06you really
22:07see that
22:07person
22:07talking
22:09so yes
22:10AI
22:10is now
22:11more and
22:11more cloud
22:12based
22:12we're gonna
22:13put a bit
22:13of AI
22:14inside
22:14or two
22:14but
22:15the thing
22:16is with
22:16the clouds
22:16they can
22:17do a lot
22:17of voice
22:18enhancements
22:20later
22:20avatar
22:21integration
22:22or you
22:22could imagine
22:23to integrate
22:23to the metaverse
22:24meaning
22:25you display
22:27the faces
22:28of people
22:28who are
22:29virtual
22:30and you
22:31use a camera
22:32to do
22:32the 3D
22:33rendering
22:33and you
22:34send
22:35the faces
22:35of all
22:36the people
22:37who are
22:37here
22:37directly
22:38to the
22:38metaverse
22:39so it's
22:39a kind
22:40of
22:40you can
22:40imagine
22:41an hybrid
22:41system
22:42and Microsoft
22:42I think
22:43they introduced
22:43that just
22:44before
22:46thank you
22:47all right
22:47great
22:49that's all
22:49the time
22:50we have
22:51I'm afraid
22:51so thanks
22:52very much
22:52to StudioCo
22:53and TeamPod
