00:00Get ready for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. This vibrant celebration attracts 1.4
00:06million attendees, featuring 70 parades and over 80 dazzling floats. While the
00:12festivities kicked off January 6th, the main event, Fat Tuesday, occurs on
00:17Tuesday, February 17th. Now, this time of the year, you can get thunderstorms and
00:22you can get severe weather along the central Gulf Coast states, but not this
00:26year. High pressure will settle off the southeast coast as we get into Tuesday,
00:30and that means plenty of warmth and plenty of sunshine. New Orleans itself looks
00:35absolutely fantastic with sunshine, low relative humidity, a great, great day.
00:42Meanwhile, in Mobile, Alabama, the birthplace of Mardi Gras since 1703, the
00:48carnival continues into Tuesday with local traditions like catching moon pies
00:53from floats. Weather here, similar New Orleans. Enjoy it. Bright sunshine,
00:59comfortable morning, comfortable afternoon, and there's little to no humidity.
