00:00So we'll start with the Milwaukee Brewers.
00:02I understand losing Freddy Peralta hurts,
00:06but have we forgotten that Jacob Mizoroski is still there?
00:09Have we forgotten that Brandon Woodruff is coming back?
00:11This is still a team that has Cheerio in the outfield,
00:15like Terang, Frelick.
00:17There's a lot to be excited about here for the Milwaukee Brewers.
00:22So why are they on the loser list?
00:25I don't know how much there is to be excited.
00:28I got to be honest.
00:28But when I bitch voice there to come in, I don't know.
00:34Think of it this way.
00:35So a couple of years ago, you get rid of Corbin Burns.
00:38Then you get rid of Freddy Peralta.
00:40I think that's a lot.
00:41I think at some point you have to make a decision between those two guys.
00:44Like we've got to keep one of them.
00:45And I thought getting rid of Burns was probably the right call.
00:47Getting rid of Peralta, I'm not sure about.
00:49And I like the package I got back.
00:52Brent Sprott is a nice young arm, inconsistent.
00:57Jett Williams is a fun prospect, but he's a small guy.
01:00Like, does he profile more like a utility guy than he does necessarily?
01:04Is he more Tommy Edmund or is he Jose Altuve?
01:08You know, like, I don't know yet.
01:09I don't know what the answer to that question is necessarily.
01:12And none of us do.
01:13We'll find that out.
01:13But I think when you look at this lineup right now, you're asking a lot, I think, out of it.
01:20You have Churio at the top, who's great.
01:22But Bryce Terang, is he really going to?
01:23I know we're going to dig a little deeper into second base later in the show.
01:25But is he going to repeat an 18 home run season?
01:27I'm questionable about that.
01:29Christian Yelich, another year older, who's had injury issues later in his career.
01:33They just signed Luis Rangifo, which is an intriguing signing to me.
01:37But also one that makes me concerned.
01:39And I still think you have Brennan Woodruff at the top of this rotation, who is far from a sure
01:43thing in terms of health.
01:44Jacob Mizorowski, I think, is a guy you can pretty much, you know, have that right box next to him
01:50where you're going to check it eventually for Tommy John surgery.
01:52Like, it's coming.
01:54Winter is coming at some point for Jacob Mizorowski.
01:57I think Quinn Priester, Patrick Henderson.
01:59I know they got Kyle Harrison, the guy that's bounced around a little bit, but I like.
02:02But I don't know.
02:03I just feel like all of a sudden with the Cubs doing what they did this offseason, the Reds, you
02:07know, I think being so young and hungry,
02:09I think the Milwaukee Brewers and Pat Murphy's amazing.
02:12I think it's a little tenuous there.
02:13So that's how I feel about the Brewers.
02:14Who else do you think is a loser here when you look at this list that we've compiled here?
02:18And I know it's negative, so we tried to keep it short.
02:21Well, no, listen, I get it.
02:22But the conversations need to be had because from a draft and wagering perspective,
02:26if everyone's going to deem these teams losers or these players off the board,
02:30that means they're going to be free picking for us and we're going to try to find value there.
02:33Let's go to the embattled city of Minneapolis, St. Paul.
02:35The Minnesota Twins are on the loser list here.
02:38I think the biggest thing with the Twins is there's a lot of potential,
02:41but it's just how many guys can they put on the field all at the same time that are healthy?
02:45Joe?
02:46Yeah, the Twins, I just don't think they did anything this offseason.
02:51And I think that's another one, too, where you look around.
02:52And the Philadelphia Phillies are a team that you look at and basically they swapped out Garcia for Castellanos.
02:59Castellanos for Garcia, I should say, pardon me.
03:01And they have Zach Wheeler with thoracic outlet syndrome, which scares the heck out of me.
03:05They lost Ranger Swarber, you know, solid piece there.
03:09I know the bullpen has improved over the year.
03:12I don't know.
03:13I mean, Swarber returns.
03:14But, again, I feel like we're just running it back here.
03:16And I don't know if that's the best thing to do.
03:18I feel like the team's a little bit older.
03:20And I think you could say the same about the Yankees.
03:22Here's the thing.
03:23There's that adage, right, Matt, of if you're not growing, you're dying.
03:26I feel like the Yankees and the Phillies running it back, hoping for the best with the top of the
03:30rotation to repeat.
03:31But if you're not growing and adding, are you dying in Major League Baseball?
03:36Joe, that sign sat above Vince McMahon's desk in his office at WWE Tower.
03:40If you're not growing, you're dying.
03:42It's something I heard quite a bit during my time as a WWE performer.
03:46To the point with regards to the Phillies, I think that the Braves are going to be exponentially better.
03:49I think the Mets are going to be better.
03:51So I think the Phillies are going to have a tough road.
03:52The Yankees have a better, I think, youth.
03:55The Yankees have a better garden than Philadelphia does.
03:58We're looking at some guys in camp like Carlos LaGrange and looking at some guys like Elmer Rodriguez and Lombard
04:03and things like that.
04:04So I think the Yankees have more to be excited about from a perspective of not having to go out
04:08and spend.
04:09I think the Phillies need to do it now, this year.
04:11Otherwise, there's a lot of things standing in their way, Joe, as I go black.
04:16Yeah, we fade to black here with some of the losing teams.
04:20I don't know.
04:20I just I guess I expected more from the Yankees was so dramatic about the Cody Bellinger saga.
04:24It seems like their whole offseason was just Cody Bellinger and that discussion.
04:28And to me, with a looming strike, as you talked about, work stoppage, lockout, whatever it might end up becoming.
04:34This is another prime year of Aaron Judge, and I don't want to waste it if I'm the New York
04:37Yankees.
04:37So sure, you know, you can always make moves during the middle of the season, but I don't know.
04:42I just thought the Yankees were kind of looking around, maybe didn't see anything they liked, and maybe just didn't
04:47want to compete on that kind of scale anymore.
04:49I don't know.
04:50It's a very weird offseason for those Yankees.
04:52We'll see how it works.
