00:00We've got Riley Green on Detroit, maybe one of their best offensive players, if not the best.
00:04Ben Rice qualifies there, too.
00:06George Springer, another player that had a renaissance year last year, but I think the oldest player.
00:11Actually, maybe not Altuve could be the oldest player, but close to it.
00:14Hunter Goodman, who I do like.
00:16Vinny P on Kansas City.
00:17Saya Suzuki coming off a career year.
00:20And then, yeah, I guess Altuve will get some DH time, but mostly will play second base, I believe, this
00:26season and some left field as well.
00:27So, Vinny P, man, they moved the fences in the Kansas City.
00:32I think a big year has come for Vinny P.
00:34He's a guy I'd like to get on my squad.
00:35I'll have him on a few teams there.
00:37George Springer, can he do it again?
00:39I don't know.
00:39I don't know if he can do it again there.
00:41He was absolutely great for Toronto.
00:44Really carried them for a good part of last year.
00:46Smacking the ball.
00:46Suzuki had a nice, I don't want to call it rebounds.
00:50He is that good, right?
00:51Because he was hitting well there.
00:53The player I like most there, I like Riley Green, too.
00:56He's a guy, but I think people are going to be in on him.
00:58But Vinny P is somebody who's going to be on.
00:59I'm going to have him highlighted on my first base list a lot this season.
01:03And don't mind me as my first baseman or my DH.
01:06All right.
01:06And let's close it out here with some others.
01:09Salvador Perez, catcher DH for Kansas City.
01:12Christian Yelich could see some DH time as well as the outfield.
01:15There's Ramirez in Miami and Diaz in Tampa Bay.
01:18And also Yanni Ardila's in Houston.
01:21Herrera on St. Louis.
01:22And then, yeah, Mike Trout, who obviously qualifies in the outfield.
01:26But they probably would be best served to play him some at DH to get as healthy a season as
01:31possible out of him.
01:33Mike Trout, man.
01:34Another guy.
01:35How many games can we rely on out of Mike?
01:37That's always going to be the key.
01:38If he plays, he's going to hit.
01:39Maybe not the numbers he's putting up during his MVP seasons.
01:42But he's going to hit if he can stay healthy and stay on the field there.
01:45I think you said it, I think they'd be very smart to put him at DH.
01:48Or maybe at least once or twice a week there.
01:50Keep him out of center field.
01:52You know, that sort of thing there.
01:53But it's just amazing how the mighty have fallen, right?
01:56This guy was once the first overall pick.
01:58And I took it at 175 in a 12-team league.
02:00That's what?
02:01Around 14.
02:02So it sort of is what it is with poor Mikey T there.
02:06Salvador Perez, by the way, is someone I like.
02:08Once again, they're moving in the fences there in Kansas City at Kauffman.
02:11Obviously, I like him more at catcher.
02:13But he's a guy who can – he's just going to put – he's going to hit his 20-plus
02:16home runs.
02:17Swings hard.
02:17Never gets cheated on his swings there like Mikey P.
02:20Other than that, really not really thrilled by any of these other guys.
02:24Not at DH anyway.
02:25Ramirez had no problem at catcher.
02:26Yellich put him in the outfield.
02:27Probably Yellich for me has always been his launch angle.
02:31Too low.
02:32A lot of ground balls from Christian.
02:33He doesn't get the ball in the air enough.
02:35One other player I'd like to mention I think is affected by these early rankings
02:40because he hadn't signed until this week.
02:43That's Marcelo Zuna of the Pittsburgh Pirates, George.
02:46He signed a one-year deal with Pittsburgh playing in a really good environment.
02:50And I just wonder if this would have happened two months ago
02:54where he would have ranked on this list.
02:56Probably much higher.
02:58Be high.
02:59But once again, Pittsburgh is a pitcher's ballpark here.
03:01Still not a lot of hitting around him.
03:02You know, but I like the move for Pittsburgh, right?
03:04It gives you somebody who's a legitimate hitter.
03:06All right?
03:07So it certainly can't hurt there.
03:08That offense has got some problems.
03:09That pitching staff should be fantastic, starting pitching staff.
03:12But the offense still has a lot of work to be done.
03:14Let's see.
03:14Let's see.
