Marcus McDonald of Presentation College San Fernando and Kymani Hector of St. Peter's R.C. Primary School are the new 2026 National Junior Soca Monarchs, in the Secondary and Primary School categories respectively. The budding soca artistes brought the energy and the vibes to the stage today, proving that they may be young, but they're never too young to soca! Rynessa Cutting has the highlights.

00:12And just like that, Marcus McDonald of Presentation College San Fernando rampaged away with the national Junior Soka Monarch title, Secondary Schools Category.
00:30With a total of 445 points, his energetic performance was more than enough to clinch the title, with former two-time Monarch in the primary school category, Zachary Ransom, taking second place.
00:49Ransom, also at Presentation College San Fernando, gave his everything on the stage, with his performance earning him 424 points.
01:00In third place was the chase-all of Bishop's High School, Tobago, who had the crowd going with his performance of Wave It Higher.
