00:00I'm a big industry fan I'm curious if prior to joining this season you were a
00:04fan and were there any qualms about joining industry knowing that they have
00:09a lot of sex and a lot of drugs and a lot of drama no no I think I was I was
00:14really into I was a fan of the show before before I joined it I've got a
00:17couple friends on it and and yeah I thought the show was great I was so
00:20excited to join and like I know it's it's intense and extreme but I'm happy I
00:24knew what I was signing up for before I joined in I want to talk about episode
00:28five because that is a big one and it's one of my favorite of the season I am
00:32a big sweet pea go lightly girl so you know it was so great to see you guys
00:35team up in Ghana together um first of all when you get to Ghana or the show guys
00:40to Ghana there's a whole new swagger a whole new attitude just because of the
00:44location but even like Kwa Buna's outfits have this extra layer of cool to them
00:48did you guys notice a shift in terms of just the atmosphere on set and how did
00:53you manage to also keep it industry yes I mean industry is such a fast-paced show
00:58and as soon as industry you know takes Africa it's just everything kind of
01:04slowed down and I think also for my character who didn't really care about
01:08the mission that we were on and and you know like what's the line he says I
01:13think you're digging for gold in the sandbox you know like his entire
01:15mentality was listen I'm in Ghana this is a business trip paid for by Stan Tau to
01:20Ghana I'm here to vibe and so so yeah it did feel like as much as the pace of
01:25the of the show was whip fast Kwa Buna at least definitely got to like just
01:30slow down chill dress well and and yeah like it felt like Ghana was vibes for
01:37Kwa Buna yeah until until I got serious well until she got punched in the face I
01:41want I want to get to that but first talking about vibes you could take sing
01:44karaoke you get two different songs at least yeah the implications that he's
01:48probably they're singing for hours yeah at that you know beachside bar
01:53close my eyes and I wonder why your eyes without a face did you know that you
02:04would be singing in the song that tied to the title of the episode no I didn't
02:08know it tied to the title of the episode so that was a great that was a great
02:11surprise but um but no like people don't you don't get consulted about these
02:14things like you just you show up to a read through and it says Kwa Buna is
02:18singing karaoke and I go I see you know that's that's the mission but it was
02:22really fun and and I actually think a big shout out to all the supporting artists
02:26on the day in that karaoke bar like so much of it you know didn't didn't end up
02:31making it into the into the actual TV show but like we were all on stage at
02:35one point we were all singing at one point like it was it was so much fun to
02:38just like pretend to be super drunk with all of these lovely strangers and by the
02:42end of it we were like a band of brothers um it was great you mentioned
02:45that you know Sweet Pea gets punched and there's a moment where you see her come
02:50out of the bathroom bloodied and you're like oh my oh do you think you were like
02:57targeted Tony Day called me before it so you can tell me how does he feel
03:02knowing that he's kind of essentially supposed to be there as backup for his
03:06partner and she's been hurt the one moment he kind of takes her eyes his eyes off
03:10for I think that's that's where the switch in the episode happens for
03:13Qabana it's up until then it's just like vibes we're not gonna get anything out of
03:19this and so I might as well just enjoy myself while I'm here and then that
03:22happens and I think he realizes that this is really serious she's put so much
03:25time into this and you know whether you like he's kind of there to look after her
03:29while she's in Ghana he's on you know home turf his family's from Ghana and she's
03:32not and I think there's a lot of guilt a lot of shame that he feels for what
03:36happened to her and so yeah after that day I think we see like a real shift in
03:41him like he's woke up early the next scene he's he's got all the information
03:45he's organized there I sit down with his auntie who happens to have the golden
03:49nugget that we need and so yeah I feel like a lot of the guilt of that moment
03:54feeds into Qabana then becoming you know mr. Stuntow and mr. let's let's and tender I
04:01also think that you guys have a more tender scene when she's icing up her nose and
04:06yeah for the first time it seems like there's no BS between them I'm curious
04:09if you and Miriam notice that kind of shift happening as well yeah on the
04:12emotional level of the scene there was something about being away from work
04:16being away from the office and and you know after she's been attacked so
04:20violently I think it gets to a point where they've both been drinking
04:23everything is kind of gone gone hey why I don't know if I'm allowed to swear
04:29everything's gone shit and and I like there's just a level of honesty that they
04:34have with each other and that's you are they asking each other like what kind
04:36of porn they're into you know it gets to a point where it's like it that moment
04:40kind of bonds them and the conversation they have really bonds them and they it's
04:44it's one of the the more honest scenes in the entire series where people are
04:48just talking to each other and there's no pretense and and there's also like no
04:51judgment and then they end up sleeping with each other and and spoiler but I
04:57think there's something really lovely about the fact that these two people can just
05:02sit down and have a completely bare honest conversation about some of the
05:06stuff that they feel like they probably wouldn't be able to admit with anybody
05:08else and in this little you know bubble of of Ghana they can just be themselves
05:14and then they go back home before you go obviously I think I have to ask you
05:18about Ted Lasso because you are so charming and wonderful on that show have we seen
05:23the last of Sam is there a possibility that do you think his story did you like the
05:27way since three wrapped up his story can you tease anything I'm just so curious I
05:32I did I did love the way season 3 wrapped up for Ted Lasso for so many of the
05:36characters it felt like a lot of those arcs got to be you know completed in a
05:41sense I feel like they'll always be more you know like like what comes after the
05:44end the next beginning and so if if there was an opportunity to do more like I'd
05:48definitely be up for it but there is also a part of me that feels like that
05:51chapter ended in a really lovely and brilliant way and I'm so excited for season 4 I'm
05:55excited for the women's team and yeah I think it's gonna be a great season yeah
06:01and the World Cup is happening this summer I'm curious do you guys do you get any
06:05insight on tickets being that you're such a prominent face of football I mean
06:09it's tough because Nigeria didn't make it to the World Cup it'll be it'll be fun
06:12I'd love to come down and actually watch some games I'm coming to Port England so
06:16yeah I've got two horses in the world not two horses one horse and yeah I'd
06:21actually I didn't even think about that but yeah I should definitely come over and
06:24watch some games yeah you should use your hook I'm yeah I'm gonna be like I'm
