00:00Woo! Greatest Super Bowl ever played.
00:02Let's just say the way it is.
00:04Arguably the greatest Super Bowl of all time.
00:07I know people want to talk about,
00:09oh, no, no, wait a minute, Craig.
00:10What about Pittsburgh, Arizona? Great Super Bowl.
00:12Oh, what about New England, Atlanta? Great...
00:14No, no, no, no, no. Yesterday was the best Super Bowl of all time.
00:17Because everything I said about the Super Bowl was right.
00:20It's about me today. Sorry, Tyrone.
00:22All right.
00:22You got the worst quarterback play you've ever had in a Super Bowl.
00:26You have Drake May in over his head.
00:27And you have New England trying to figure out what went wrong.
00:32I hearken back.
00:33I hearken back to last week, the week before that,
00:36the week before that, and the week before that.
00:38When I told you, Tyrone, average football team,
00:41average quarterback can win the Super Bowl.
00:44Yeah, well, I picked, just for the record,
00:46for people that might just be tuning in off their news.
00:48Yeah, you love doing it all over the picture.
00:50I picked the Seahawks loudly.
00:52When did that happen?
00:53Friday.
00:54As a matter of fact, I picked them during the regular season.
00:57And Ethan has still, producer Ethan, has still not apologized for ridiculing him.
01:01Well, he owes you a couple lunches, that's for sure.
01:04Yeah.
01:04Yeah, but look, obviously not the greatest game ever played.
01:08To be fair, there's one guy in this country you can count on.
01:11It's me.
01:12I told you, 27-13 Seattle.
01:14I'm off by two points.
01:15I get both showcases.
01:17That's fair.
01:17Because that's how good my prediction was.
01:20And look, this just came down to the New England Patriots were a smoke and mirrors team.
01:25The New England Patriots got to a Super Bowl.
01:27They deserve a lot of credit for that.
01:29But they got there having gone through a backup quarterback in Denver,
01:33a horrendous performance by CJ Stratt without his best tight end or wide receiver,
01:38and an offensive line that was in an ER when they played the Chargers.
01:43This is also a team that only had two wins in the regular season against teams with winning records.
01:48They were not and are not a dynasty, a juggernaut, nor a very good football team.
01:55And when an average team at best goes up against a badass team with a great defense,
02:02a competent quarterback, and a running game, you are not going to win.
02:07And that's what yesterday's game was.
02:09No, you're absolutely right about that.
02:10And the Patriots had 30 new players.
02:13So a lot of it was like, hey, that's a great job.
02:16What it turned out was better than the four-win teams the year, the two years before that,
02:20but clearly not up to snuff.
02:22And in addition to Drake May, and I know you're about to talk about him,
02:25so I'll leave you to have that.
02:27All good.
02:27That offensive line play was about as bad as you'll ever see in a big game.
02:32I mean, just about as bad.
02:34And for three quarters, their defense, which is good.
02:36They do have good players on defense.
02:38For three quarters, they held up.
02:40They held up.
02:40Bending a break, bending a break, field goals, three and outs.
02:42That's what I'm saying.
02:4312 points through three quarters.
02:45Sooner or later, that offense was going to have to do something.
02:48And by the time they did, the game was over.
02:50Yeah, and look, there was never a threat.
02:51Like, 3-0, I'm not worried about it.
02:536-0, I'm not worried about it.
02:559-0, I'm not worried about it.
02:5612-0, I'm not worried about it.
02:5919-7, I'm not worried about it.
03:02Because I know what New England is.
03:04New England's a fraudulent football team.
03:07They had a great story.
03:08It's a great story.
03:10Obviously, Mike Vrabel, a really good head coach.
03:13Drake May looks like he might become a decent quarterback one day.
03:16But take a look at the numbers.
03:18It's why I was so hot and heavy on Seattle.
03:22New England was a fraudulent team the entire season.
03:27And anybody that doesn't see that is either a blind Patriots fan,
03:32which I totally get respect, or just a liar.
03:35Because outside of blind loyalty to your football team,
03:39which, again, I respect,
03:42the reality is that this was an average team all year.
03:48David can't beat Goliath if David don't have a rock.
03:51And yesterday, David was missing the slingshot and the rock
03:56because your quarterback stinks.
03:58Your left tackle stinks.
04:00Your ability to get one first down in the entire first half
04:05after the first drive stinks.
04:08This was not a good football team.
04:10They went up against a really good, competent football team.
04:13And that's why they lost.
04:15And also, I have to blame Vrabel a little bit.
04:17Because I think he's a good coach.
04:19And I think he's going to go on to do good.
04:20He's done good things so far.
04:22Maybe he goes on and does great things.
04:24But down 19.
04:25I don't think they're going back to a Super Bowl for a long time.
04:27For a while.
04:27This is not a great football team.
04:30The Bills are a better team right now.
04:33The Miami Dolphins have a whole new regime.
04:35So God knows what that's going to look like.
04:37Without two, the New York Jets, I get it.
04:39Last place will be in last place again next year.
04:41I'm good with it.
04:42And then the tides turn.
04:44But if you're a Patriots fan, let's be honest with each other.
04:47Let's have a moment here together.
04:49You're screwed.
04:51I think you need a quarterback.
04:53I see you jumping too far.
04:54I think the idea that Drake May was the MVP of the league, and you saw that yesterday, that was god-awful.
05:02I'd be embarrassed today to go to work in a cubicle and rock a Drake May jersey.
05:07And I'll tell you something else I'm wondering.
05:08And I'm sure I'll say this a lot later today as well.
05:11I wonder if all you Patriots fans are willing to go gay for May if you're straight again.
05:21That's how bad that performance was.
05:23You had millions of Patriots fans who are like, for May, I'll go gay.
05:28They're wearing shirts gay for May.
05:30I thought it was great.
05:31I thought it was great.
05:33We knocked out homophobia in New England.
05:36You wake up today, I'm concerned.
05:38Yeah, see, they focused on the wrong thing.
05:41They got to get rid of a different thing in New England.
05:44But whatever.
05:44By the way, Ethan downstairs, a Giants fan, told me that he'd spread his legs apart for dart.
05:49So everybody's going crazy now.
05:51He says in a heartbeat, still.
05:53Still.
05:54I'm just telling you, be careful.
05:55Life decisions you make based on an average quarterback.
