A 22-year-old man died after collapsing while playing the online game PUBG in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased, Mohammad Kaif, fainted suddenly while gaming on his mobile phone and was rushed to hospital, where doctors found his blood pressure had crossed 300, leading to a brain haemorrhage.

The incident occurred on Friday at an office in Khairnagar, where Kaif, son of a real estate businessman, was playing PUBG with earphones on. He lost consciousness and was first taken to a nearby nursing home before being referred to Delhi due to his critical condition.

Kaif was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, where doctors confirmed that a brain artery had burst due to extremely high blood pressure. Despite two days of treatment, he died on Sunday.

Family members said Kaif spent long hours on his mobile phone playing online games. His parents, devastated by the loss of their only son, have appealed for greater awareness about the health risks linked to excessive mobile gaming.
