Transcript
00:00Good afternoon, MIA. I'm irrigator journalist Kai Horroide, here to deliver your rap of what's been making headlines across the region this week.
00:08Our top story in Leighton this week was the launch of the first Spicy Support Group, which promises a social and supportive network for neurodivergent people across the region.
00:18They launched on Wednesday, and are meeting every Wednesday at 4.30.
00:22We also spoke to the drummer of Sarah Lise, Carl French, who will be performing at Bolarama.
00:27He spoke on the development of the band's nerdy folk metal vibes, rehearsing while apart from each other, and the nerves of performing at home.
00:35Over in Griffith, Alan Wilson broke down the pay increase and extra benefits that will come to teachers working at 13 Griffith schools.
00:43Those benefits include a rental subsidy, stamp duty relief, and up to $8,000 in relocation assistance.
00:49You can get more on all of these stories at irrigator.com.au or airinews.com.au.
00:55And, as always, if you have an interesting story, a promising lead, or a call for help, you can always contact me at 0447 781 540 or kai.holroyd at austcommunitymedia.com.au.
