00:00Hey Naturally Curly World, Christina here. I've been putting my hair through a lot.
00:05I bleached it blonde, I dyed it purple, and now I'm a brunette again. With all
00:09these dye jobs my hair has suffered a lot of damage. I wanted to show you my
00:13experience using the new Design Essentials Quinoa & Bamboo Repair
00:17Collection. It promises stronger hair and four treatments. The collection has
00:21three steps, shampoo, mask, and a leave-in. First step, grab the replenishing shampoo.
00:27It lathers up really well even though it's sulfate-free and it contains biotin,
00:32a protein that'll strengthen my damaged hair. This is my first time using this
00:38shampoo and my scalp felt clean and my hair felt soft. On to step two. I towel dried my
00:45hair and sprayed a generous amount of the liquid strengthening mask onto my hair.
00:49It's a reconstructing treatment that penetrates the hair shaft without the use
00:53of heat. Do not rinse this out. I moved on to step three and sprayed the leave-in
00:59conditioning sealant on top of the liquid strengthening mask and let it sit for
01:03five minutes. There's no need to rinse this either, just a tangle, scrunch, and
01:07style as usual. The next day these are my results. I could tell my waves were slowly
01:13starting to form again, especially at the ends which tend to be the most damaged. My
01:17hair doesn't seem as dull anymore either. For best results I used this treatment
01:21four times. So during treatment two and three I continued to use a shampoo to
01:26remove product buildup, the mask to strengthen my hair, and the sealant to
01:29add moisture and shine back into my hair. To be honest it can make your hair feel
01:33kind of sticky since you don't rinse out any of the spray products, but the next
01:36time I wash my hair everything felt back to normal. I was pretty surprised that my
01:41hair texture was coming back. I didn't have to use a curling wand in order to get
01:45curls or tighter ways. The curls in the back are way more defined and shiny, but I still
01:51had some looser pieces in the front, probably due to damage. By the fourth and final treatment
01:57I can say that I definitely experienced less breakage, and my hair feels like it did before
02:01I blasted it with bleach. It's soft, it's shiny, and it retains moisture a lot better,
02:08keeping my waves and curls defined for much longer. Repairing damaged hair takes patience,
02:14and I like that the Design Essentials Quinoa & Bamboo Repair Collection is simple to use.
02:19You can use all your normal styling products during this process, and I'm pretty low maintenance,
02:23so if I can do it, you can do it.
