00:00Hey guys, I'm Devery. And I'm Christina. And today we are switching hair
00:06routines. I have 3C, curly-coily, high porosity, highly dense hair. I haven't
00:18seen my scalp in weeks. So I have 2C wavy hair. Detangling will be interesting.
00:2530 seconds of combing and that's it. Maybe less, maybe like 10 seconds. I need a
00:31lot of moisture. As soon as I go outside, any little gasp of moisture gets sucked
00:38into my hair because that's how dry it is. Moisture is a little bit further down
00:43on my list, so I'm a little bit worried for Devery. I feel like for some reason
00:47it's gonna leave my hair more dry at the end, so we'll see what happens. I'm
00:53really nervous. Apply a milky cleansing conditioner to your roots using the pads
01:00of your fingers, giving yourself a one-minute scalp massage while your face
01:05is relaxed. So the first step is to shampoo. And it just says shampoo. So, Devery uses
01:13the African Waterman and Ginger Detox and Refresh Hair and Scalp Conditioner. This
01:18is what she has. The Girls with Curls? Two Girls with Curls? I don't know. This is
01:23really nice. It's like aromatherapy. I will focus on my scalp. I use the Tangle
01:31Teaser with shampoo on scalp. Oh my gosh, I haven't used this since like my early
01:39transitioning days. This is so intimidating. Use it with shampoo on scalp. Oh, like this. So,
01:51okay, create more tangles. Grab your detangling brush and work your way up
02:00each section, gently getting rid of shed hair and fairy knots. Okay, so I just
02:05rinsed, which was the next step after creating tangles with the Tangle Teaser.
02:10Diva Curl One Condition Delight. Usually, I use the Decadence and I love it. So, do you
02:15divide your hair? Oh, so just do it as is? Alright, cool. Shed hair everywhere. Shed
02:20game crazy right now. So, I'm just gonna run this brush through my hair. See, I would never
02:28do this because, as you can see, this side I have curls happening and this side it's
02:33straight. Oh my goodness. Alright, so comb it. Normally, I would do this, but like...
02:43Ain't no conditioner on that part though. Yeah, you're right, you're right. Okay.
02:49I'm...there are no knots. I'm just brushing my hair now.
02:54Yeah.
02:58Alright.
03:02Scrunch dry with microfiber towel. Let my hair air dry and place a microfiber towel on it.
03:09Huh.
03:11Once your hair is about 65 to 80 percent dry, apply a creamy milk styler to each
03:19section. Scrunch in a leave-in now. And I actually love this leave-in, so I'm glad
03:25that she has this. It's the Brown Butter Beauty Sweet Milk Detangling Leave-In Conditioner.
03:30I've actually used this curl cream, Controlled Chaos Curl Cream. She's not
03:34specific about how much, so I use this much, which I guess is maybe a quarter and a
03:40nickel. I would probably use that much, but I think you may be using more like that much.
03:51Okay.
03:52I will...it's not scrunching.
03:53It's not scrunching.
03:54Oh, scrunch.
03:56So...oh wow. Here we go.
04:02I'm so scared to get tangles because y'all didn't see what just happened off camera.
04:08Um, shout out to Evelyn, and shout out to the fabric scissors that we found.
04:15Use the squish to condition hand motions. I think that's pretty similar to my scrunching
04:21technique, so...
04:22Squishing, it's more this way, though.
04:24Oh, okay. Squishing this way. Yeah, that'll stretch my curls right back out.
04:29I've never used this, but it's the Jessie Curls Spiralicious Styling Gel.
04:35This is the One Little Parrot Tropical Fruit and Honey Tresses Revitalizer.
04:44I don't know, is this how you scrunch?
04:48Keep the front middle part visible.
04:50I don't look...I don't look as good as Debra looks with the middle part.
04:53Come on. So no one would have told me about that?
04:56Alright, cool.
04:57And then it says to diffuse.
04:59Smooth one thin layer of light gel over your halo.
05:03Shea Moisture Frizz Defense Styling Gel Cream.
05:07I have also used this before, but in very small quantities.
05:10Okay, first of all, I'm not even sure how to use this, so please don't come for me in the comment section.
05:16Like that.
05:17I don't think I have the halo that Debra is referring to.
05:21I'll just put it on the top layer of my hair.
05:26Put it there, like that, I think, and then I will turn it on.
05:30So...
05:32I think I'm done now, but I would normally diffuse as my next step to kind of bring this all back up.
05:42That is Debra's lazy summer day wash and go routine.
05:54Um, I think that my hair held up a little bit better than I expected.
05:59I really thought that it was gonna be, like, straight and weighed down with a ton of heavy products.
06:06But...
06:08It just might take my hair a really long time to dry today.
06:11It's crazy, like, I...
06:13My hair is all, like, shrunken in.
06:15I look like I have a smaller head now.
06:17I scrunched like I've never scrunched before.
06:20I feel really bad for Debra's hair.
06:22I feel bad for the chunk that met the fabric scissors earlier.
06:28I'm sorry, Debra.
06:30Um...
06:31I found myself under the water trying to cut out chunks of hair.
06:36Yeah, it's...
06:37I mean, it's kind of matted in the back.
06:38I feel bad about the shampoo brush in its defense.
06:43That feels really good in the shower, and I think when you have the water of the shower
06:49flowing over your scalp, it doesn't create as many of the knots that Debra experienced.
06:56Yeah, I'd rather keep the chunks of hair in the back, so I'll stick to my routine.
07:02So, thanks for watching, guys.
07:03Hope you enjoyed it.
07:05We are actually going to be giving away a few of the products that we used in this video.
07:09Not the ones that we actually used because most of it is covered with hair.
07:14But, um, we're giving away the StevaCurl, the towel, and the shampoo.
07:19And all you have to do to enter is comment below and tell us what your wash and go routine is.
