00:00Hey guys, I'm Devery. And I'm Christina. And today we are switching hair
00:06routines. I have 3C, curly-coily, high porosity, highly dense hair. I haven't
00:18seen my scalp in weeks. So I have 2C wavy hair. Detangling will be interesting.
00:2530 seconds of combing and that's it. Maybe less. Maybe like 10 seconds. I need a
00:31lot of moisture. As soon as I go outside, any little gasp of moisture gets sucked
00:38into my hair because that's how dry it is. Moisture is a little bit further down
00:43on my list, so I'm a little bit worried for Devery. I feel like for some reason
00:47it's gonna leave my hair more dry at the end. So we'll see what happens. I'm
00:53really nervous. Apply a milky cleansing conditioner to your roots using the pads
01:00of your fingers. Giving yourself a one minute scalp massage while your face is
01:05relaxed. So the first step is to shampoo. And it just says shampoo. So... So Devery uses
01:13the African Waterman and Ginger Detox and Refresh Hair and Scalp Conditioner. This
01:18is what she has. The curls... Girls with curls? Two girls with... I don't know. This is really
01:23nice. It's like aromatherapy. I will focus on my scalp. I use the Tangle Teaser with
01:32shampoo on scalp. Oh my gosh. I haven't used this since like my early transitioning
01:40days. This is so intimidating. Use it with shampoo on scalp. Oh, like this. So... Okay. Create more tangles.
01:54Grab your detangling brush and work your way up each section, gently getting rid of shed
02:03hair and fairy knots. Okay, so I just rinsed, which was the next step after creating tangles
02:08with the Tangle Teaser. Diva Curl One Condition Delight. Usually I use the Decadence and I love
02:14it. So... Do you divide your hair? Alright, so just do it as is? Alright, cool. Shed hair
02:19everywhere. Shed game crazy right now. So I'm just gonna run this brush through my hair.
02:27See, I would never do this because as you can see, this side I have curls happening and
02:32this side it's straight. Oh my goodness. Alright, so comb it. Normally I would do this, but like...
02:43Ain't no conditioner on that part though. This, yeah, you're right, you're right. Okay.
02:49I'm, there are no knots. I'm just brushing my hair now.
02:54Let my hair air dry with microfiber towel. Let my hair air dry and place a microfiber towel
03:09on it. Once your hair is about 65 to 80% dry, apply a creamy milk styler to each section.
03:19Scrunch in a leave-in now. And I actually love this leave-in, so I'm glad that she has this.
03:25It's the Brown Butter Beauty Sweet Milk Detangling Leave-In Conditioner. I've actually used this curl
03:31cream, Controlled Chaos Curl Cream. She's not specific about how much, so I use this much,
03:37which I guess is maybe a quarter and a nickel. I would probably use that much, but I think you may be
03:49even more. I like that much. Okay. I will... It's not scrunching. Oh, scrunch.
03:57So, oh wow.
04:01Here we go. I'm so scared to get tangles because y'all didn't see what just happened off camera.
04:09Thanks, shout out to Evelyn, and shout out to the fabric scissors that we found.
04:14I use the Squish to Condish Hand Motions. I think that's pretty similar to my scrunching technique,
04:21so... Squishing, it's more this way though. Oh, okay. Squishing this way. Yeah, that'll stretch
04:28my curls right back out. I've never used this, but it's the Jessie Curls Spiralicious Styling Gel.
04:35This is the One Little Parrot Tropical Fruit and Honey Tresses Revitalizer.
04:44I don't know. Is this how you scrunch?
04:48Keep the front middle part visible. I don't look... I don't look as good as Debra looks with the middle
04:53part. Come on. So no one would have told me about that? All right, cool. And then it says to diffuse.
05:00Smooth one thin layer of light gel over your halo. Shea Moisture Frizz Defense Styling Gel
05:06Cream. I have also used this before, but in very small quantities. Okay, first of all, I'm not even
05:13sure how to use this, so please don't come for me in the comment section like that. I don't think I have
05:19the halo that Debra is referring to. I'll just put it on the top layer of my hair. Put it there like
05:28that, I think, and then I will turn it on. I think I'm done now, but I would normally diffuse as my next
05:38step to kind of bring this all back up. That is Debra's lazy summer day wash and go routine.
05:50I think that my hair held up a little bit better than I expected. I really thought that it was going
06:00to be like straight and weighed down with a ton of heavy products, but it just might take my hair a
06:09really long time to dry today. It's crazy. My hair is all shrunken in. I look like I have a smaller head
06:17now. I scrunched like I've never scrunched before. I feel really bad for Debra's hair. I feel bad for
06:24the chunk that met the fabric scissors earlier. I'm sorry, Debra. I found myself under the water
06:33trying to cut out chunks of hair. Yeah, it's kind of matted in the back. I feel bad about the shampoo
06:41brush in its defense. That feels really good in the shower, and I think when you have the water
06:48of the shower flowing over your scalp, it doesn't create as many of the knots that Debra experienced.
06:56Yeah, I'd rather keep the chunks of hair in the back, so I'll stick to my routine. So thanks for
07:03watching guys. Hope you enjoyed it. We are actually going to be giving away a few of the products that
07:08we used in this video, not the ones that we actually used because most of it is covered with hair, but
07:15we're giving away the StevaCurl, the towel, and the shampoo, and all you have to do to enter is comment
07:21below and tell us what your wash and go routine is. Like, comment, subscribe, share, and all of those
07:30things. Don't share routines though. Bye. Bye.
