00:00So here we have it, the all-new five or seven-seat SUV Volkswagen Tyron, and yes, that's right,
00:18I pronounced it correctly, Tyron, not Tayron, like you might think. This is a vehicle designed,
00:23developed, and manufactured in Wolfsburg for Europe, and it's Volkswagen's second largest
00:29SUV, sitting nicely between the Tiguan and the Touareg. So here in the UK, you can get the
00:35Volkswagen Tyron in five different trims. You get the life, the match, the elegance, the R-Line,
00:42and the R-Line edition. Costs start from just over £40,000. We also have six powertrains on offer.
00:48You have two petrols, one diesel, one mild hybrid, and two plug-in hybrids. The Tyron boasts a
00:56distinctive and authentic SUV design. It's just shy of 4.8 meters long, and in comparison,
01:02the Tiguan sits at 4.5 meters, and the Touareg sits at 4.9. You get the nice illuminated Volkswagen logo
01:10at the front and the rear of the car. That comes as standard across the whole range. You also have
01:16this nice horizontal LED bar that runs across the width of the bonnet and the rear of the car.
01:21On this specific trim, the elegance, you've got some nice chrome tip 3D design on the grille.
01:27On the R-Line, you'll see a bit more of a honeycomb design.
01:31So currently in the UK, you can choose up to six alloy wheels, ranging from 18-inch up to 20-inch.
01:36These ones here are the 19-inch Catanias. Now, on to the interior highlights. Stylish design,
01:44high-quality materials throughout each trim, ambient lighting with 30 different colour options,
01:49and a whole host of optional equipment, such as panoramic sliding sunroof,
01:54Harman Kardon sound system, and the ErgoActive Plus seats with massage function.
01:59So staying in the cockpit, there's so much tech to talk about in here.
02:03Let's start with the slick, high-quality infotainment touchscreen.
02:0712.9-inch is standard, but you can also choose the optional 15-inch.
02:12You have the 10-inch Digital Cockpit Pro screen behind the steering wheel,
02:16and just like the Golf, Tiguan, and Passat, we've listened to customer feedback
02:20and we've brought back the physical buttons on the steering wheel and the back-lit touch sliders.
02:25You can also charge two phones wirelessly, just under the infotainment touchscreen.
02:30You get an improved Ida voice assistant with ChatGPT.
02:35And also, just like in the Tiguan, you get this driving experience switch,
02:40where you can adjust things like volume, driving profiles, and the atmosphere of the cabin.
02:46One of the key USPs of this car is the sheer space you get inside,
02:50and that's evident in this second row.
02:52You can recline your seat backwards, you can move it forwards,
02:55you can move it backwards again, providing plenty of legroom.
02:58You can adjust the climate control to suit your needs.
03:02You've got this built-in sun blind to help on sunny days.
03:06You've got these pockets in the back of the front seat that neatly hold a phone.
03:09You've also got this multifunctional armrest here,
03:13which when pulled out, gives you an option of two cupholders.
03:17Or, you can put your phone in there, or a tablet,
03:20tilt it towards you, and continue your latest Netflix series.
03:23So, continuing on the space theme,
03:26I'm now going to talk you through the boot spaces of a seven-seat Tyron.
03:30With all seven seats up, you get a respectable 345 litres of boot space.
03:36Fold the third row down, that goes to 850 litres.
03:41And if you fold the second row down as well,
03:43you get a whopping 1,905 litres of boot space.
03:47In the Volkswagen Tyron, you're going to see features
03:50that are normally seen in the premium segment.
03:52Things like DCC Pro.
03:56Drivers have the option of individually adjusting the settings to suit their needs.
