00:00There was some big news out of Philly, and I'm sure you can speak to it, that Jeff Stoutland is going to step away from the organization.
00:06Can you add some clarity to this situation?
00:09Yeah.
00:10Kevin, here's what happened.
00:11Basically, had Jeff Stoutland stayed, as I've understood it, for a couple weeks, yes, he would have been the O-line coach, but he would not have the run game coordinator title.
00:20It's just they've moved on from that.
00:23You know, the run game took a big step back last season.
00:25As you know, in 24, they were historic.
00:28You know, as an Eagles fan knows this, but it's kind of – I'm surprised by this.
00:33You know me very well, Kevin.
00:34Yeah.
00:34I didn't think it would end like this.
00:36Like, he made the announcement.
00:38Now they've just – Eagles just put a statement out.
00:41It's just not – to do this in February is almost – I understand that you just hired their offensive coordinator recently, Kevin, but this is kind of unheard of to do this in February.
00:51Typically, when someone like Stoutland leaves, you do it very early, but this is always explained to me.
00:58His run scheme does not really match up with this one, with their new staff, because they're running West Coast.
01:06The zone scheme is different.
01:08We ran some zone, a lot of gap scheme.
01:11I don't want to go too inside football so people don't understand this, Kevin, but it wasn't a great match with Sean Mannion's scheme.
01:17And he's out.
01:18It's – you saw his statement.
01:19It's hard to believe.
01:20Didn't think it would end like this.
01:22Yes, they love him.
01:22He's still beloved inside the organization, but they're going to have a bunch of coaching changes.
01:29New pass game coordinator, new coordinator, new offensive line coach.
01:32Some position coaches, I believe, are probably going to leave.
01:34A lot of change over here, Kevin, for your Eagles.
01:37So, Cap, to stick it there, is this a Howie decision in the sense of Mannion comes in, he says that Stoutland doesn't fit his run game type of concept,
01:48and he goes back to Howie and says, I can't work with this type of offensive line coach, or is this a Sirianni situation with his back?
01:56But, Joe, as I understand it, it's kind of like both sides had a feeling-out process, and Howie loves Stout.
02:06In fact, he's probably, as I understand it, his biggest supporter and defender.
02:10He's – Joe, to be honest with you, he's – first, he's a great human being, but from an offensive line scheme, as you brought it up, very stubborn, does not like motion.
02:21The offense that Mannion is bringing in is heavy motion-based.
02:24It's not a good match for Stout.
02:25Well, he's got to go somewhere if he wants to coach.
02:28He's going to have interest.
02:29That's not going to be the problem.
02:30But it's got to be a good match.
02:32It was not a good match for Stoutland and Mannion in a new West Coast scheme.
02:37And, by the way, and we're going to be talking about this, Kevin, going forward real quick.
02:42Jalen Hurts fitting in this scheme.
02:43I tried to warn you about this.
02:45This is a timing-based offense.
02:46This is different for Jalen Hurts.
