00:55And you know, as a black woman in Hollywood, how do you maintain?
00:57I feel like you are the perfect person to ask.
00:59How do you maintain positivity?
01:01Well, you know, I'm free, right?
01:03So freedom has to live inside of us so that we can be positive about who we are.
01:08And also that allows me not to care about what nobody else thinks, right?
01:12So when you're free, it don't matter what others think.
01:14It's only what I think about me, right?
01:16And so, I mean, I feel good about me, so I got to stay positive, yes.
01:19Absolutely.
01:20Yeah.
01:20And you're an actress.
01:22You are an actress.
01:23Do you have any big projects coming up?

01:34Yes.
01:35How has it been navigating as a black woman in the food industry?
01:38You know what?
01:39But in the beginning, I didn't see anybody who looked like me, right, especially not
01:42as a black woman who's a vegan.
01:43Yes.
01:44But now, honey, I showed up, right, and said, you know what?
01:47I'm supposed to be here.
01:48Yeah.
01:49And I have been accepted.
01:50Yes.
01:50And people welcomed me with open arms, and even if they didn't, I would have showed up
01:54anyway.

02:06See, that's it.
02:07And ain't nothing wrong.
02:07And nothing wrong, because then they love it.
02:08That's your business.
