00:06This is my favorite event of the year.
00:08And any space that allows Black women to come together and just commune and be ourselves,
00:13our full, authentic selves, is always so special.
00:16So I'm just, I'm honored to be honored.

00:19Well, look, you've been doing it in the films, okay?
00:23So if there was an inspiring actress, what words of advice would you give them?
00:27I would give them two things.
00:30I would say, first, take care of yourself.
00:33This industry is very demanding and can put a lot on us.
00:37Be sure to step out of it and give your body and your mind what it needs.
00:41And second, don't let no bring you down because you're going to experience that a lot as well.
00:46We are resilient people, and if this is what you love to do, you will do it.
