00:03We lost our entire house. We lost everything.
00:05We weren't ready for that unexpected moment.
00:07And we all know life gives us so many of these, right?

00:10And part of that was I never want to be in that situation
00:13that when the unexpected happens, we have no options.

00:45In my 30s, I met a guy who turned out to be my husband.

00:52It was such a wake-up call because I had earned, you know,
00:57a decent amount of money, but I spent it.
01:00I didn't know how to save, but it was important to save.
01:05No one ever talked to me about it.
01:07We know that black women are most likely the breadwinners,
01:11but we also know we can be more on top of our finances.
