The cast of 'The West Wing' will reunite for a theatrical stage presentation of an episode that will stream in the fall on HBO Max (a date hasn't been set).

00:07Sorkin will reunite for a theatrical stage presentation of an episode that will stream
00:11in the fall on HBO Max.
00:14Original cast members Rob Lowe, Dulé Hill, Alison Janney, Janelle Maloney, Richard Schiff,
00:19Bradley Whitford, and Martin Sheen will join series creator Sorkin and director and executive
00:24producer Thomas Schlamme for the special.
00:26The reunion special will film over several days in early October at the Orpheum Theater
00:30in Los Angeles, strictly following COVID-19 production guidelines.
00:34An exact release date hasn't been set yet.
00:36This news comes as the Friends reunion at HBO Max is still on hold.
00:39The West Wing special will feature the cast performing the season 3 episode Heartfield's
00:43Landing on stage, along with new material written by Sorkin for the reunion.
00:47The episode first aired in February 2002.
