00:08Investigators report that 65-year-old Meryl Sabesa was last seen around 6.30 a.m. singing and moving about in her front porch.
00:18Concerned relatives checked on her just after 1 p.m., only to find her bedroom door locked and the house ransacked.
00:25Upon forcing entry, they discovered her lifeless body.
00:28Police were contacted and an investigation is underway.
00:32Neighbors who spoke off-camera described Sabesa as a kind woman who lived alone following her husband's death.
00:38They noted there have been no other reported robberies in the area, but said the attackers may have targeted her knowing she lived alone,
00:45especially since she was also the victim of a robbery last day, though she was not at home at the time.
00:50An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

01:21The woman managed to escape the house while the attacker reportedly set the property a brace before fleeing.
01:27The victim was hospitalized and is now in stable condition.
01:30Police continue to investigate the attack.
