00:00It's just afternoon here in our nation's capital roads. Unfortunately, still not great to navigate at this point. You take a look to the right, you can see some of those main roads, secondary roads still are not in great condition. Unfortunately, due to the sleet that we saw on a good portion of the day yesterday, that is really weighed down the roads here and it's become very, very difficult for a lot of these crews to come through and actually clear out the snow and the sleet throughout the day. 00:29number of cars getting stuck out on the roadways. It was a similar situation Sunday afternoon and evening that may continue through a good portion of the day today. Very slick conditions, officials saying to stay home if you don't have to be behind the wheel. Not only did we have issues by car, but by plane as well. Lots of delays and cancellations across the D.C. metro area. Reagan National, BWI and Dulles still facing hundreds of delays and cancellations as of Monday.
00:59If you take a look at conditions just around me here, look how hard the ground is here. It has been so bitter cold here in Washington, D.C. that even on the sidewalks here, very, very difficult to navigate. You can see just how hard the ground really is here, making it not only difficult to travel by car, by plane as well, but then even getting to and from walking in and around this area has been proven to be very difficult. School for many students cancelled
