00:40of guys out of there that weren't into work the next thing he did was focus on everybody doing
00:50their job so no matter how tedious no matter how important um on a given play in a given situation
01:01everybody did their job now here's the kicker he could go up to anybody on the team
01:12and give you some hints on playing the guy across from you whether it was special teams defense
01:22offense and so the more he coached the more you realize that man this guy know what the hell he
01:33talking about and and so that's kind of how he did it there was some resistance early because we were
01:39all tired and exhausted i mean think about this we had a preseason game where we practiced in pads
01:46the day before the preseason game and he was like you're only gonna run like 10 plays so it's a day
01:54off so he was really like it wasn't easy then as he did that like the following year and then the
02:04third year he kind of okay i got my guys now we're gonna start going at this together so you'll know
02:12right away um one based on how your players respond and two based on how they interact
02:22right because some coaches like you can say what you want about mike mcdaniel he didn't have bad
02:28interactions with any of the players no i mean other than jalen ramsey it doesn't seem like it right
02:33um and and that but i think he also probably thought like he let veterans do a little bit
02:40maybe more willy-nilly and that happens on all teams by the way okay it only it's only mentioned
02:47when your team's losing so let's stop that like you've had coaches from even back when jimmy johnson
02:55he said yeah i'm gonna treat players differently right so like this is nothing new we only make it
03:04a big deal with the losing teams but coaches that won super bowls have admitted yeah we treat players
03:13differently you got to know where you fit in i thought he did a good job yesterday i honestly

04:07special teams coach like those guys have shed some tears because they're very emotional those are
04:13your most intense guys on a football field most of the time if you guys didn't hear this was him
