00:00All right, we're back.
00:02You guys ready?
00:03Let's go!
00:15Icy.
00:18Set.
00:27Ready.
00:28This is the Pro Football Football Show, powered by Chevy Silverado.
00:35Welcome to the Pro Football Football Show.
00:37It is championship weekend.
00:38We're going to figure out who's going to win the NFC, the AFC, to go to the Super Bowl.
00:42But first, let me tell you about the Chevy Silverado.
00:44Playoffs separate the pretenders from the football guys.
00:47It is win or go home, and you need a truck that plays like it is on a rookie deal.
00:51Hungry, tough, and ready to grind.
00:53The Chevy Silverado does not take plays off.
00:56No drama, no contract holdouts, just pure grit.
00:59The Chevy Silverado is built for the playoffs, built for football guys.
01:03To learn more about the Chevy Silverado, head to Chevy.com.
01:06Per usual, before we start recording, you're already chirping back and forth.
01:10So, Dan, I'm going to let you go first, and then you're going to have to let Fred go, but I'm just going to leave the table open here.
01:16Obviously, the Bears' season ended.
01:18It was a disappointing way for the season to end.
01:21I thought they played better than the Rams on Sunday, and they just couldn't get the job done.
01:26A few plays here, a few plays there.
01:28Couldn't get those fourth and twos, third and twos.
01:32So, it stunk.
01:34Incredible season.
01:35Fred refuses to answer this question, though, for me, because he was texting me after the game, trolling, which is fine.
01:42Totally his right.
01:43I want to know.
01:44I want the honest truth.
01:46When Caleb Williams hit that touchdown pass to Cole Comet, did Fred think of just ending it all?
01:51Because he was just like, I got no chance.
01:54The Bears are just going to do these miracles.
01:56He was probably pooping in his little pants.
01:59He was pooping in his diaper.
02:01Obviously, it ended up not working out because of the interception and then the field goal to end the game for the Rams.
02:07But I just want to know how nervous Fred was in that moment.
02:10All right.
02:11In that moment right there, I was like, no way he can complete this pass.
02:14But I said, this Caleb Williams, I've seen him do this numerous times in high school and college.
02:19And I've seen him do it all this year.
02:21But I knew at one point in this season, the luck was going to run out.
02:25Now, there was a hell of a pass to Cole Comet.
02:27I got to give him everything.
02:29But I said, you know what?
02:30I have to just be patient and wait.
02:32I was hoping they showed you on the camera as those ice cold tears ran down your face and sold your field.
02:40But they did not do that.
02:41But you know what I can say?
02:43The Chicago Bears came up short.
02:45They put up a hell of a fight.
02:47But they came up short and no more football in the state of Chicago.
02:51I mean, Illinois.
02:52Listen, listen, it was a hell of a season.
02:55And Fred, you just basically needed DJ Moore to not run a route to finally get what you were looking for this whole time in the Bears being out.
03:04But they're going to be good next year.
03:06I don't know what about your team.
03:07So we'll find out.
03:08But I think the Bears are going up and up and up.
03:10Going up and up and up.
03:11And the arrows pointing up.
03:13Ben Johnson, incredible coach.
03:15Cale Williams, huge leaps.
03:16I'm excited for 2026.
03:18Y'all going to do the same thing we did.
03:20Y'all going to make it to the mountain top.
03:22Drop right back to the mountain.
03:23I don't think so, Fred.
03:25We don't have the oldest roster that's going to add Devo Samuel and be like, all right, we're good.
03:30No, no, no.
03:31But y'all probably going to lose a DJ Moore.
03:33Y'all probably going to lose somebody else that's a veteran.
03:36Y'all going to have to regroup in something, retool.
03:38And don't forget, Dan Campbell in Detroit, they're going to be all up there.
03:42They're not going to just sit back and watch y'all do y'all things.
03:44Don't forget, on the other side, Green Bay is going to get healthy at one point.
03:48Yeah, those good teams.
03:49I'm just saying.
03:50So at the end of the day, this was that crack for y'all to get through to the next level.
03:54And you didn't do it.
03:55Coach, where do you land on this?
03:58Because obviously that game was incredibly exciting.
04:00They talked about the pass from Caleb Williams that ended up on the stat sheet saying 14 yards.
04:05We know it was more like 45 yards to go into regulation.
04:08That was an unbelievable game.
04:09Where do you land on this?
04:10And the Bears lose, but they're still pretty damn good.
04:13They were the better team that night.
04:14Well, I'm all the way with Dan on this.
04:16I mean, Washington is in the gutter.
04:18They can't even hire an offensive coordinator.
04:20Nobody wants to be their defensive coordinator.
04:23We got a bunch of old men.
04:25I don't know what the hell is going on up there.
04:27But the Bears have so much to be excited for.
04:30It's going to take a while, though, to get over this loss because we had it.
04:35I mean, the Bears had that game.
04:37They had a chance to get to the NFC Championship game.
04:40But I have a young quarterback.
04:42We've got a young coach.
04:43We've got a really good nucleus of players.
04:46And there's a lot, I think, to look forward to in Chicago.
04:50Yep.
04:51Thank you, Coach.
04:52You're the voice of reason.
04:53You know boss.
04:54Oh, man.
04:55Shame on you, Coach.
04:56Shame on you, Coach.
04:57If they couldn't do it with the Pope on their side, they ain't never going to do it.
05:02He's not going anywhere.
05:03He's not going anywhere.
05:05He's not going anywhere.
05:06But y'all got to be honest with y'all.
05:08They left a lot on the table this year.
05:10And Coach, you know better than anybody.
05:12The start of next season is a whole new entire season.
05:15You don't know.
05:16Ben Johnson already said that.
05:18Ben Johnson already said that.
05:19That's how good of a coach he said.
05:20Yeah.
05:21He said there's no building on anything.
05:22Next year, we're right back at the bottom.
05:24Yes.
05:25Yes.
05:26We know who our quarterback is.
05:27We know what offense we're running.
05:29We have legitimate firepower at the skill positions.
05:33You wait and see, Fred.
05:34We got a young tight end, a young wide out.
05:36We got a good freaking offensive team.
05:39We?
05:40In our defense, we're going to add some players.
05:42I hate to tell you, when we add a couple pass rushers in Chicago, good night, Fred.
05:48You'll be sitting out there at that FedEx Stadium.
05:51Are you guys playing in Baltimore?
05:53What part of Maryland do you guys play in?
05:55Hey, where did the we come from, Coach?
05:58Where did it become we?
05:59He's just using we right now.
06:01Yeah.
06:02Why did you, where did you jump on that Bears bandwagon?
06:04I jumped on the wagon as soon as you joined this show.
06:07Yeah.
06:08Preaching about the Washington Commandments.
06:11I hope you see the rendering of our new stadium.
06:14It's going to be the best in the NFL.
06:16I love you, man.
06:17I'm just glad this is our last episode.
06:21I love all of you guys.
06:23This is one of those things where, I mean, I obviously wanted the Bears to win for many
06:27reasons to make Dan happy, but I knew, I knew coming in here that Fred would have
06:31that big ass smile on his face if they lost.
06:34And that's, that's what we got.
06:35Let's, let's jump into these games.
06:37Obviously we have some other teams to talk about that lost as well as these games.
06:40So we'll talk about the AFC championship.
06:42This is the Chevy game of the week presented by Chevy.
06:44Head to Chevy.com to learn more and build your own Chevy Silverado coach.
06:48I'm going to start with you.
06:49It's the Patriots at the Broncos, the Patriots minus four and a half.
06:52The big storyline last week, you know, the Broncos win that game, Bo Nix gets hurt.
06:57So he will not be playing this week.
06:59But when you, before we look at the AFC championship game, when you look back at that game last week,
07:03what were your takeaways?
07:04I thought Buffalo had the game.
07:06Honestly, it was the turnovers.
07:08The turnovers were the story of all these playoff games.
07:11Yeah.
07:12Chicago game.
07:13They turned it over three times.
07:14The Rams did it, but the Denver defense got shredded by Buffalo.
07:18They gave up 450 yards, almost 31st downs.
07:23Buffalo was ripping them on the ground.
07:26Unbelievably, the Denver defense struggled, but they got five turnovers.
07:31And whether the interception by McMillan was legit or not, whatever you say,
07:36the turnover battle won the game for Denver.
07:39But in this game, Casey, the Broncos are going to have to rely on their defense.
07:44They're going to have to do what the 1990 New York Giants did with Jeff Hostetler.
07:50When Hostetler took over for Phil Simms with just one or two games left in the regular season, they leaned on their defense.
07:57They leaned on their special teams.
07:59Hostetler threw 76 passes in three playoff wins as they won the Super Bowl.
08:05This Denver defense has to play ten times better than they did last week.
08:10And they can do that.
08:11They can get after New England's ass.
08:13I'm telling you, they have struggled to protect the passer.
08:17The Patriot offense has not looked good in the playoffs.
08:20But Denver's defense and their running game has to give them a little something.
08:26But I really think Sean Payton is going to have to have a career game,
08:30and he's capable of making some play selections that could really dismantle a defense.
08:36This guy's a great coach.
08:38They're going to have to rely on no turnovers, great defense,
08:42and some really creative, timely, gutty calls by Sean Payton.
08:47That's what I think.
08:48And, Dan, it really does stink to know that that's what happened with Bo Nix.
08:51Now we're going to see Jarrett Stidham, but you have to put that in the past.
08:54I mean, the Broncos are still in the AFC Championship.
08:56So where do you land on this?
08:57Yeah, I mean, so the Broncos, terrible news with Bo Nix.
09:01It does help them that they found out right away.
09:04So you have an entire week.
09:05You have eight days to get ready.
09:07You have eight days for Sean Payton to get Jarrett Stidham ready.
09:09I think Sean Payton has shown that he went out and hand-selected Jarrett Stidham
09:13by signing him as a free agent in Denver,
09:15by giving him another contract.
09:17The Patriots are the better team, but I think the line,
09:21if we're talking just from a betting perspective, is an overreaction
09:24because the Broncos have enough to keep this game close.
09:29And if Jarrett Stidham can do a good job managing the game,
09:33keeping them in this game, I think it's like a three-point game.
09:36So I'm going to take the Broncos plus four and a half,
09:38knowing that the Patriots are probably the better team.
09:41But the other interesting thing with this that I think is going to be,
09:45and Mike Vrabel's a very, very good coach, so it might not play into it.
09:49But the Patriots going into these playoffs,
09:52the story was they haven't played anyone, right?
09:55And everyone doesn't know if they're good or not.
09:57And they can have that underdog mentality, that chip on the shoulder.
10:00Jarrett, Bo Nix goes out and Jarrett Stidham's in this game.
10:03Now the Patriots are favorites and everyone's expecting the Patriots to go to the Super Bowl.
10:08So instead of going to Denver as an underdog and everyone's like,
10:11oh, they're still stink.
10:12They're not going to Denver.
10:13Everyone's like, hey, they should win this game.
10:15They're playing a backup.
10:16That kind of shifts your mentality a little bit.
10:18I think you're going to get the absolute best effort.
10:20Everyone's got to step up for Denver.
10:22So if I had to guess, you know, the final score,
10:26it's like something like 24, 21 Patriots.
10:28Give me the four and a half with the Broncos.
10:30Fred, Dan's right because as soon as everybody found out that news about Bo Nix,
10:34it became, well, there are three teams left that can win the Super Bowl
10:38and it's not the Denver Broncos because they don't have Bo Nix.
10:40That was the immediate storyline that came out of the internet,
10:43the national media, all of that.
10:45Where do you land on this?
10:46Because it did feel like an overreaction immediately.
10:49Well, you know what?
10:50I have to one up coach Gruden on this one.
10:51I like the hot stellar one, but I have to say, you know,
10:54when Jim Kelly went out, you know,
10:56a quarterback named Frank Wright came into the game and made magic happy.
10:59So we've seen this thing happen in the playoffs before.
11:01And Big Cat is right.
11:03All of a sudden, once the quarterback went out,
11:06everybody just said Denver cannot win the game,
11:08which I totally don't believe in because like we talked about,
11:11that New England Patriots offense that's been on fire for the whole season,
11:14it's starting to sputter a little bit.
11:16And then you travel to mile high, which I'm sorry,
11:19it's not mile high anymore, but it's still a mile high in the air.
11:22It's going to be a challenge there.
11:24It's going to be a challenge with their home field advantage.
11:26And Denver defense plays way better at home than they do on the road.
11:30Then you got R.J.
11:31Harvey that's going to run that ball.
11:33They're going to try to counteract that with Stenum.
11:35I think Stenum, if you look at the stories he's had in the past,
11:38this guy can play football.
11:40I'm sorry.
11:41The third signing that Coach Payton did when he got to Denver was signing
11:45this backup quarterback.
11:46He understood getting that backup quarterback was going to be very important.
11:50And now it's time to show it.
11:52I'm not like everybody else.
11:53I'm not jumping on the Patriot train.
11:55I'm telling you right now, Denver can win this game outright.
11:58I'm going with the Denver Broncos.
12:00I think they're going to have an underdog mentality.
12:02I think they, they have been there.
12:05They have been there and done that.
12:06They're back against the wall.
12:07I'm going with Denver.
12:08I just think when you, when you value these teams out,
12:11I think Patrick Sertain and that defense can make enough turnovers
12:15where they can switch this game and put it in the favor of the Denver Broncos.
12:19Hey, Casey, I just want to make myself clear.
12:22As much as I'm rooting for Denver, I'm picking New England to win this game.
12:27I think their defense is the most underrated part of this ball.
12:31It's been really good.
12:32You know, their defense, their defense has heard about the Chargers defense.
12:36Then they got to hear about how great Houston's defense is.
12:40New England kicked Houston's ass.
12:42I mean, they made a CJ Stroud look like a high school quarterback.
12:46They sacked them.
12:47They beat them up.
12:48They picked them off.
12:49They couldn't run the ball.
12:50And I think they're hearing about this Denver defense.
12:53And I think Milton Williams and Spillane and these Patriots,
12:56they're going to gang up on Stidham.
12:58They're going to make it hard for Denver to score.
13:01And let me remind you of Drake May.
13:03He was an MVP candidate in the regular season.
13:07He's going to have the ball 70 times in his hands.
13:11And they got some receivers, Fred, that are bad ball badasses, man.
13:16Diggs, Douglas, Boutte, and the tight end Hunter Henry, you watch, will kill Denver.
13:23It's going to be New England.
13:24They have all three phases hitting at a high level.
13:27And they got a young stallion.
13:29I just think it's awesome.
13:31Last thing I'll say is when Drake May and Bo Nix came into this league two years ago,
13:37everybody said, ah, it'll take you guys six or seven years because of Mahomes
13:43and Josh Allen and Joe Burrow and Lamar Douglas and Justin Herbert.
13:48Guess what?
13:49It's Drake May and Bo Nix.
13:51They really got a hell of a lot to do with these two teams being in this game.
13:55I love it.
13:56Coach.
13:57Oh, go ahead.
13:58Go ahead, Fred.
13:59Coach, I'm sorry to do this to you.
14:01But nobody, Patrick Sertain, don't care about Drake May in the middle of January.
14:06He does not care about anything you're talking about with those wide receivers.
14:10Benito does not care.
14:12Eric Staley didn't care either, but they went downtown, didn't he?
14:16Yeah, it happens.
14:17It happens.
14:18Yeah, it did happen.
14:19You get beat.
14:20You're going to get beat.
14:21All I'm saying is this.
14:22Home field advantage is a real thing.
14:24And this Denver Broncos defense is optimistic just like New England.
14:27They can turn the ball over.
14:29They got perhaps the best cornerback in football.
14:31One of the best pass rushes in football with a lot of other guys waiting,
14:35slobbing at the mouth to get at Drake May.
14:37So don't just sit here and try to sell me water to a whale.
14:41You can't do that, Coach.
14:42I hope they win.
14:43I hope you're right, Fred, but you're wrong.
14:45Well, Coach, I was going to ask you too about Drake May.
14:49I know that last Sunday we saw two fantastic snow games.
14:52And I love sitting at home in my warm house watching a snow game.
14:56But Drake May did turn the ball over more than we saw him do in the regular season.
15:00Did that concern you?
15:01Or do you kind of just chalk that up to playing Houston and playing in the snow?
15:04Well, you know what, Casey?
15:05When I look at the film, the interception against the Chargers, it was batted at the line of scrimmage.
15:11Then the interception he threw against Houston was a Hail Mary.
15:14He was just throwing it up, hoping it was a catch at the end of the half.
15:18A couple of the ball security issues are a problem.
15:22And Will Campbell at left tackle, as good as he is, as tough as he is, ever since he's come back from that injury,
15:30he has struggled over there big time.
15:33So they're going to have to get him some help against Benito.
15:36There's no question about it.
15:37Benito ruined the game for Buffalo.
15:40He had two forced fumbles, a blindside sack, and Will Campbell's going to need help.
15:45But the ball security, to your point, Casey, is a problem.
15:50And they cannot turn it over.
15:52That's the only way Houston could lose to New England is if they turn the freaking ball over.
15:58And that's, I think, the only way that New England loses this game is if they turn it over.
16:04And Fred and Gruden will be talking about this, I'm sure, for a very long time, regardless of what happens.
16:09So we'll see.
16:10Let's go to the NFC Championship.
16:12It is the playbook pick presented by DraftKings.
16:14Remember, DraftKings has your back with the early exit protection.
16:17The player in your eligible NFL prop bet goes down at any point in the first half.
16:21You still get paid in cash.

16:33Use promo code PRO.
16:34Dan, I will start with you.
16:36I know, you know, like we said, we have to put it in the past.
16:38The Chicago Bears should be in this game.
16:41However...
16:42No, they shouldn't!
16:43Yes, they should!
16:44Yes, they should!
16:45No, they shouldn't!
16:46You can't say we should.
16:47We should.
16:48We had a chance to win, and we didn't.
16:50Okay.
16:51I feel like they should.
16:52I would rather be watching Caleb Williams, but that's beside the point.
16:54The Rams at the Seahawks, Dan, when you talk about everybody in the country right now
16:58talking about who the favorite is to win the Super Bowl, whether it's in Vegas, whether
17:02it's the narrative, it seems like it's been the Seahawks for a long time.
17:05The Seahawks minus two and a half.
17:06What do you think the Rams can do this Sunday?
17:08Yeah, I'm going to take the Rams.
17:11And it's really just based on the fact that that game they played in Seattle, where the
17:17narrative did get shifted to the Seahawks, and the reason why the Seahawks are hosting
17:22this game, was pretty crazy.
17:24And the Rams probably should have won that game.
17:26I mean, they definitely should have won that game.
17:28The two-point conversion, Sam Darnold caught fire late.
17:31I think Sean McVay is going to have some answers to Mike McDonald's defense.
17:37I think Dotson coming back was huge for them.
17:39You saw it in the game in Chicago on Sunday.
17:44Sean McVay also, I think he had a really bad game on Sunday against the Bears.
17:50I really do.
17:51I think he should have run the ball more.
17:53Given the conditions, they were getting five yards, six yards a pop.
17:57It was kind of crazy that they didn't.
17:59I looked up in the fourth quarter.
18:00There were 30 passes, 10 rush attempts.
18:03And then finally they did, and they started running the ball.
18:05And you started seeing them, you know, get that 14-play drive.
18:08So I think, in a weird way, you have a game where Sean McVay can look at himself
18:13and be like, hey, I didn't coach my best, and we survived.
18:16I got to coach my best in this game.
18:19So you're going to get the best game plan from Sean McVay.
18:22And I think they're going to be really smart about that.
18:24Devontae Adams was out the last time they played.
18:27I just think the Rams, I'm just going to take the, I'm going to go to quarterbacks.
18:30Like Stafford is a guy who I trust.
18:33And Sam Donald's not that I don't fully trust him.
18:35Well, I don't fully trust him.
18:37It's just, if I need a big throw late in the game, I'm going to go with Stafford.
18:40So I'm going to take the Rams.
18:41Coach, what do you think?
18:43This is a tough one for me.
18:45I picked Seattle to get to the Super Bowl a while ago, but when I look at Stafford,
18:50we can talk about coaching and play calling and all that stuff.
18:53The only reason a Rams are alive is because of Stafford.
18:56I mean, he makes some throws that you just, you can't stop.
18:59I mean, Fred will tell you he's in perfect coverage.
19:02Yeah.
19:03He throws it in there anyway.
19:05Ridiculous.
19:06Not only that, they have two of the best bad ball receivers I've seen in NFL history.
19:10I mean, these guys go get the ball and they pull it out of your ear, man.
19:14I mean, I don't know how they make these magical catches.
19:17Adams in the red zone, Nakua on third down.
19:20When we got to have it, we go to Nakua, he gets it.
19:23I can't bet against the Rams.
19:25They've got two runners, Corum and a kid from Notre Dame, Kyron Williams.
19:30Charbonnet's out for Seattle.
19:33It's at Seattle.
19:34That's the only thing I say.
19:37It's like going to a freaking Metallica concert in 1996.
19:41This shit is loud in there, man.
19:43Yeah.
19:44It's hard to win there.
19:45Yeah.
19:46It's almost like a touchdown swing when you got to go to Seattle because you feel like
19:51you're on a foreign planet.
19:53But I'm going to go with the Rams just because of the continuity between the head coach and
19:59the quarterback and the simple fact that Matt Stafford's going to make two or three throws
20:04in this game that just leave everybody saying, holy shit, that guy's really something else.
20:10Fred?
20:11I love it when you two go left so I can do the right thing.
20:15At the end of the day, this has been a defensive playoffs.
20:18The whole entire playoff has been won by who has the best defense.
20:22And when you talk about the Seattle Seahawks, you're talking about the Legion of Boom part
20:27two, Nicky Maria, and then you got Witherspoon out there.
20:31Then you got that defensive front that's destroying everybody.
20:35When I watch the Seattle Seahawks play defense, it reminds me of that Ravens defense with Ray
20:40Lewis and Ed Reed.
20:41They just, people could not figure out the puzzle.
20:45And when they play the Seattle team, it takes the quarterbacks a couple of quarters to figure
20:50out what are they doing?
20:51How are they doing it?
20:52Why are they playing so fast?
20:53They do, they rush four and they drop seven.
20:56It's hard to beat.
20:57Now, I love me some Matthew Stafford.
20:59I love Puka Niku.
21:00I think he's their best wide receiver in football.
21:03Devontae Adams can't be stopped in the red zone.
21:05But I'm telling you right now, coach, I'm going to turn that smile upside down.
21:09When you watching this defense, they will destroy the Rams.
21:12This is the third time they're going to get to play them.
21:14You know when you play a team three times, you have figured out the recipe.
21:18And everybody's saying what they don't believe in Sam Donald.
21:21All right, let me tell you something about relationships.
21:23Just because you don't trust your mate in the beginning, it don't mean you can't trust
21:26him in the end.
21:27And this is the end of the year.
21:28And I trust Sam Donald.
21:29And I'm going to tell you like this.
21:31The biggest mid-season pick up our trade was Shahid.
21:35When they brought Shahid in here and put him with Jackson Smith and Jigma, you right now,
21:41with their powers combined, they formed Voltron.
21:44And that's hard to stop.
21:45I'm telling you right now, coach.
21:47That offense in Seattle, Kenneth Walker going to get the bulk of the carries.
21:50That offensive line going to get to move forward.
21:52Playing in Seattle on the water.
21:54Playing in Seattle with the 12 man.
21:56Playing in Seattle with the edge.
21:58Sam Donald will answer the question.
22:01Yes, I can.
22:02Yes, I can.
22:03Yes, I can.
22:05Well, he threw six interceptions this year against the Rams, so I hope he can play better,
22:10Fred.
22:11Yeah.
22:12I think he's going to play better.
22:13Coach, you know like I know.
22:14When you're a quarterback and you weather the storm and you get on the other side.
22:17Yeah, I threw six picks.
22:19So what?
22:20That was in the past.
22:21It's all about this weekend.
22:22Nothing else.
22:23He threw 17 passes last week.
22:2517.
22:26He completed 12 passes.
22:27Oh yeah, he's hurt.
22:28That's a good point.
22:29He's hurt.
22:30That's a big problem.
22:31Yeah.
22:32And I don't forget the Rams got a case of whoop-ass with these pass rushers.
22:35They got some guys that can come off the edge too now.
22:39The Rams defense is not exactly chopped liver now.
22:43These guys are pretty dang good.
22:45You'll see, Fred.
22:46You'll see.
22:47That little smile on your face will go away, Fred.
22:50No, no.
22:51Listen, coach.
22:52He's always got that jerk.
22:53We all work out, coach, but you're working out with Richard Simmons right now.
22:56If you think that Rams defense is going to travel up to Seattle and just shut them out,
23:01that's not going to happen now.
23:03I love Emmanuel Ford.
23:04That's my Mississippi State Bulldog brother.
23:06I love Durant.
23:07The other corner on the other side.
23:08I think he's a very talented guy.
23:10But what I do know, when you're playing that bend but don't break defense,
23:13eventually it's going to break.
23:15Well, if the Rams lose this game, I will come to a home game and cheer for Washington next year.
23:22No.
23:23Well, pack your bags.
23:25Pack your bags, coach.
23:27Coach, you didn't mean that.
23:28You didn't mean that.
23:29Or you're that confident?
23:30Yeah, he did.
23:31He did.
23:32I'm very confident.
23:33I have so much confidence.
23:34Matt Stafford, he's going to win the MVP and he's going to win the Super Bowl,
23:37and this is his year, man.
23:38I'm just telling you.
23:39No dirty old man alert.
23:41This is about the new blood.
23:42This is about the new blood in the NFL.
23:44No, no, no.
23:46Stafford's going home, baby.
23:47He needs to rest.
23:49All right.
23:50That's a hell of a bet, coach.
23:51That is one hell of a bet.
23:53Let's go to the hot takes presented by Fox One.

24:04Dan, I will start with you.
24:05What is your hot take for championship weekend?
24:08I don't, I'm blanking now.
24:13Pass.
24:14Go to coach.
24:15Go to Smith.
24:16No, no, no.
24:17I got it.
24:18I got it.
24:19I got it.
24:20I got it.
24:21I got you, big dog.
24:22Don't you worry about it.
24:23Check this out.
24:24The hot take this week is, and I know this ain't going to sound good to people.
24:25We're going to have a Stenum Super Bowl.
24:27Yeah.
24:28The quarterback going to be, I'm just telling you, Sam Donald is Stenum.
24:32Sam Donald is Stenum.
24:33That's the headlines of the Super Bowl this year.
24:36Like, I'm just sorry.
24:37This is a defensive year.
24:38Like, last year and a couple of years has been offense trying to figure out, I mean defense
24:42trying to figure out offense.
24:43This year is offense trying to figure out defense.
24:45I'm going with the two best defenses I feel that's left in this game.
24:48And that's Seattle, right?
24:49And that's the Broncos.
24:50And because they have the best defense, they will move forward.
24:53It's going to be like a 10-7 Super Bowl.
24:55Ooh, I'm going to bask in the glory of all that defensive optimism that I'm going to see
25:00right there.
25:01All I'm saying is, sit back and enjoy watching a defensive Super Bowl with two quarterbacks
25:06that nobody thought ever would go to the Super Bowl.
25:09And I'm going to tell you like this.
25:10I remember a couple of years ago when Sam Donald saw ghosts.
25:13He is the ghost this year.
25:15He is the ghost of Christmas fans.
25:17He's coming to prove people wrong.
25:19And coach, look at the rhythm of that stadium right there.
25:22Huh?
25:23That's the future of Washington.
25:25You got no picture.
25:27You got no picture.
25:28I still don't think the Broncos are going to win.
25:32But here's my hot take.
25:33Jarrett Stidham, 250 pass yards.
25:35I think they're going to be in a game state where they're going to have to throw.
25:39Sean Payton, I mean, you look at the game last week.
25:42The Bills have a really bad run defense.
25:44And Sean Payton wasn't exactly running the rock a lot.
25:46He wants to pass.
25:47He wants to throw the ball.
25:49So, I don't think he's going to dial up some interesting stuff for Jarrett Stidham.
25:53You're going to get opportunities.
25:55So, the Broncos aren't going to win, but 250 yards for Jarrett Stidham,
25:58which is like plus probably like 300 or something.
26:01Let me ask Coach something.
26:02Let me ask Coach something.
26:03Coach, if you had to start a backup that we don't have film on,
26:07that we haven't watched play, ain't you going to have some hidden stuff in there?
26:10Don't you think that gives Denver an edge that we don't know what he's going to do?
26:16You know, we won the division title in New Orleans a few years ago with Luke McCown
26:20starting at quarterback.
26:22It was the first start he ever had for us.
26:24And we beat Sean Payton and the Saints.
26:26And I think Luke hit 17 in a row to start the game.
26:29I think this.
26:30If you have a quarterback like Stidham, or in our case, Luke McCown,
26:35and he's been in your system.
26:36Sean's been with this guy for three years, Big Cat.
26:39I would be shocked if they don't use a no huddle offense,
26:43if they don't push the envelope.
26:45Give Stidham all kinds of things to do.
26:48I mean, do more than anybody thinks he can do.
26:51But don't pack your offense in, run it on first and second down,
26:55and punt it and be too conservative.
26:57That's just not Sean Payton's way.
26:59I'll remind you of this, Fred.
27:01When Drew Brees got hurt in New Orleans, he missed five games.
27:05Sean Payton has done this before.
27:07He put in Teddy Bridgewater.
27:09Teddy Bridgewater.
27:10What did Bridgewater do?
27:11He went 5-0.
27:12He went 5-0.
27:13So, Sean Payton, he is going to adapt better than any other coach in the league.
27:18I'm rooting for Denver.
27:20I just think at the end of the day,
27:22people are underestimating how good this Patriot defense is.
27:26But, Coach, can't you?
27:27I mean, I know we talked about it earlier when we broke down the game,
27:29but it did seem like people were forgetting that Sean Payton
27:32is the coach of the Denver Broncos.
27:34It was all of a sudden like Bo Nix is hurt.
27:36They have no shot to beat the Patriots.
27:37They have no shot to win the Super Bowl.
27:39And it just felt so just like, hello, do you not remember who's the coach?
27:43I mean, obviously losing your starting quarterback is a problem,
27:45but it felt like that flip switch so quickly.
27:48Yeah, people got to remember who you're dealing with now.
27:50These are two of the best coaches.
27:52Sean Payton to me is the best.
27:54I mean, he inherits a 5-12 team.
27:56They got $140 million in dead money.
27:59They go 8-9.
28:01Now they're up to 14-3.
28:04They just hired Johnny Morton, big cat,
28:07who was the offensive coordinator of the Lions.
28:09He got fired.
28:10He brings them back.
28:11And Johnny Morton comes up with the fake 95 F counter.
28:15They throw to a tackle for a touchdown.
28:17Like Crum.
28:19Yeah, Crum.
28:20But he's got a great staff.
28:22I mean, Davis Webb, the quarterback coach, is being interviewed.
28:26Vance Joseph, Jim Leonard.
28:28Hell, they got a great staff.
28:30And it's going to be a great game because of that.
28:33But my hot take is this, Casey.
28:35A few years ago was the Rams and the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
28:40Brady versus Goff.
28:42You're going to get a repeat.
28:44Rams versus Patriots.
28:46That's what we're going to get in the Super Bowl.
28:48That's my hot take, man.
28:52I'm going to blue Super Bowl.
28:54Seattle and the Broncos.
28:56Everything blue.
28:58Wait, but the Rams and Patriots is also blue.
29:02Yeah, you're right.
29:03You're right.
29:04So I'm right no matter what.
29:05I'm right no matter what.
29:07Blue Super Bowl.
29:08And I'll bet Dan Katz can't name three starters for the Washington commander defense.
29:14Yeah.
29:15That's how.
29:16That's how.
29:17Frankie Lou Vu.
29:18Yeah.
29:19Come on.
29:20Name old yellow jacket now.
29:21Middle linebacker.
29:22Old yellow.
29:23Oh, Bobby Wagner.
29:25He won't be there next year.
29:26He's got to retire.
29:27Yeah.
29:28And then we had, who's the guy you got from the Saints who stinks?
29:33Will?
29:34You talking about my safety?
29:36That's it.
29:37Yeah.
29:38Wait, no.
29:39Your cornerback.
29:40Will Harris?
29:41That's what you're talking about?
29:42No, no, no.
29:43Your cornerback that you traded for from the Saints.
29:44He stinks.
29:45Oh, oh.
29:46Marshawn Lattimore.
29:47Yeah.
29:48Marshawn Lattimore.
29:49Yeah.
29:50Hey, man.
29:51Stop on.
29:52Get that hate out of your heart.
29:53Cause last time I checked.
29:54I don't hate.
29:55Hey, I don't hate the commanders.
29:56I come on.
29:57Cause I do a show right here.
29:58Sitting right here next to PFT.
30:00I don't hate the commanders.
30:01It's your energy that I'd match.
30:03I match your energy.
30:04No, no, no.
30:05It's you and coach Gruden.
30:06I'm going to tell you what you and coach Gruden did.
30:08Told me last week.
30:09It's going to be too cold.
30:10It's going to be too cold.
30:11It was too cold.
30:12It was.
30:13I was cold.
30:14I was sitting in my house.
30:16I was cold watching.
30:17I agreed.
30:18Matthew Stafford.
30:19Oh, he's cold.
30:21Oh, he's cold.
30:22Monte Adam.
30:23Oh, he's cold.
30:24Pook in the cooler.
30:25Oh, he's cold.
30:27This is all I got to say.
30:28It wasn't too cold for them.
30:30It was cold.
30:31They looked like shit.
30:32It was very cold.
30:34Like I said, snow games are great to watch on TV.
30:37I felt the entire time I'm thinking about just like it.
30:39Foxborough and in, in Chicago, just absolutely would not want to be in those stands.
30:43Okay, Dan, Jerry is not here, but he has submitted his survivor pool pick.
30:48You guys are both still alive.
30:49He is taking the Seahawks.
30:51Who are you taking?
30:52I'm taking the Rams.
30:53We'll go head to head.
30:54Perfect.
30:55Head to head.
30:56So Jerry's not here to defend himself.
30:57So what, if you win, you get money.
30:59If he wins, he doesn't get money.
31:00Is that what I remember?
31:01Yeah, we'll have to figure it out.
31:02I'll probably just take him out to dinner or something.
31:03So just how it all kinds of ends up for me.
31:06Money coming out of my pocket.
31:07Yeah.
31:08I've been to say, man, look out for Jerry, man.
31:09It's been a hard year for Jerry.
31:11You know, the Pittsburgh Steelers being destroyed.
31:13They finally got to get a new coach.
31:14He ever had a new coach since he was born.
31:16So come on, man.
31:17Show some love for Jerry.
31:18Yeah, I will.
31:19Shout out, Jerry.
31:20All right.
31:21Anything else, guys, before we go into conference weekend?
31:23Nope.
31:24Nope.
31:25All right.
31:26Well, we'll see.
31:27Yeah.
31:28Thank you guys.
31:29Fun season.
31:30Everybody will be out at the Super Bowl.
31:31So we'll see you then.
31:32Have a good week.
31:33Thanks, guys.
31:34Can't wait.
31:35Guys, have a great one.
31:36See ya, Fred.
31:37All right.
31:38Look, basking this stadium, people.
31:39I got to get out of here.
31:41Come on.
31:43Los Angeles.
31:45I got to get out of here.
31:46No, not sure.
31:47We are on mute.
31:48Come on.
31:49I feel like this is the shitìnharo.
31:50It is done for good to come from everybody.
