00:00All right, we're back! You guys ready?
00:03Let's go!
00:15Icy!
00:18Set hut!
00:27Ready!
00:28This is the Pro Football Football Show, powered by Chevy Silverado.
00:35Welcome to a remote version of the Pro Football Football Show presented by the Chevy Silverado.
00:40You guys know about the Chevy. Go to Chevy.com. You can build it. We're all here, guys.
00:45It's almost 2026. How was everybody's Christmas?
00:49Fantastic.
00:51Mine was great.
00:52Yeah, mine was fantastic. We haven't seen each other in a couple weeks.
00:56Fred, I don't know if the news got to you in Washington, but the Cowboys have been eliminated for like a month.
01:03I just want you to know, when it happened, I was like, oh no, Fred, he probably doesn't even realize because he's going to come on this show for week 18 and be like, watch out for the Cowboys.
01:15If they win this game and get in the playoffs, it's going to be great. They have been eliminated for a while now.
01:20All right. Well, you know what? We all fall short. We all have these things that we say going to happen. Just like you told me that the Chicago Bears were going to beat Green Bay. But you know what?
01:28And then we did. And then we did. We beat them once. And then we won the NFC North.
01:32No, no, no. What happened this week, Catfish? What happened this week?
01:38Shootouts happen. Shootouts happen. Brock Purdy's playing in an unbelievable level. What are you going to do?
01:43Oh, somebody said that a couple of weeks ago that Brock Purdy needs some respect on his name and nobody heard what I said.
01:52I don't know. I think you were talking about the Cowboys more than I am.
01:56Coach, where do you land with all this Fred Smoot stuff? You know, he loves to put on a show. The last time we were all in person, we had to buy tickets.
02:03Do you think that he believes the Cowboys are actually eliminated?
02:06I don't even think Fred believes half of his bullshit. I love it. I love you guys. I wish I was there in person with you guys. But I'm anxious for the last week of the season. We got Jersey Jerry here with the Steelers Ravens on the line, man. This is a great week.
02:27Yeah. And we were talking before we started recording. Dan said a lot of these games don't matter, but a lot of them really do, especially when you look at the playoff race. So we'll jump right into it. The storyline games of the week presented by the Chevy Silverado. Again, head to Chevy.com to learn more and build your own Chevy Silverado. So coach, the Tampa Bay Bucs, your Bucs can still get in the playoff, but they do not control their own destiny. The Panthers coming to Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay minus two and a half. How are you feeling about this situation?
02:54I felt really good about it, but I would like Dan to explain why the Buccaneers don't win the South if they win this game. So if they win this game, their record would be eight and nine. And if the Falcons win on Sunday, their record would be eight and nine. So they would basically go to a three-way tiebreaker and kick out the Saints. And the Panthers have the three-way tiebreaker and the Panthers will be the representative to the NFC South.
03:23So it's a crazy, it's a crazy setup that this game, the Bucs have been just losing, losing, losing. They're still alive, but now finally they need someone else to help them out. And it is Tyler Shuck and the New Orleans Saints to help them out. They got to win first, obviously, which I don't think they can. They haven't, they haven't won a game. They should win in months. It feels like coach.
03:49It's been hard. It's been disappointing. And that really is a discouraging thing that we can't ice the champagne. It's got to stay warm.
03:59Until we see what happens with the Falcons. So I'm still going to take Tampa Bay. I still believe in the Buccaneers. We got to put a game together. We've had flashes where it's been good. We've had periods where it hasn't. But I think with the backs against the wall at home on a short week, we just played Carolina a couple weeks ago.
04:20I just think we have a better quarterback and I think we have more firepower and we should win this game.
04:26Lies. Lies, coach. They ain't won since win. November? Like what's going on down there with Baker Mayfield? You know I love me some Baker Mayfield, but I got to tell the truth. The Carolina Panthers are playing better football right now than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You're going home.
04:41Oh, the Carolina Panthers took a knee with about eight minutes. I saw that. That was tough. Come on. That was tough. We're going to beat their ass. We're going to win this game and win the division. Casey, what's our listed line? Is it Panthers plus three?
04:56I have it on this. It's plus two and a half, but I printed this last night. So I would love that three. All right. I guess I'll roll with the Bucs. I mean, this is going to be is a gross game. I the Bucs stink. They stink.
05:10They stink. They just flat out stink. Sorry, coach. True. But I still I still somewhere deep inside me. I'm like Baker Mayfield is going to do something and figure out a way to to get this team to at least a watch of the Saints. Falcons came to see if they're they're in the playoffs.
05:28You know, it really helped, though, Tristan Wirfs would play. He is the best offensive tackle in the league. I mean, let's be honest. If he plays, we're going to win. If he doesn't play, it's going to be a tough, tough way to tough way to go. But we need our guy. We need our guy at left tackle.
05:45So if if was a filth, we all be drunk.
05:50There it is. But you knew if you knew those lines were coming. Yeah, it is Tuesday morning when we're recording this. So we'll see what happens by Saturday. But as of right now, it is two and a half. So, coach, I hope you're happy because I always want to see you happy. So I hope you guys win the NFC or the South. But we'll see. Let's go to the Seahawks versus the 49ers. Dan, I'll start with you. The Seahawks minus one and a half.
06:10The number one seed in the NFC on the line here. What do you think? I mean, this is going to be a great, great game to really, really good teams playing. You know, they're they're as as high as you can get in terms of you want to say Super Bowl contenders. I just think Brock Purdy and the 49ers are playing on a different level right now. What they did. I know the Seahawks defense is a far better than the Bears defense, but they're playing perfect offensive football and getting just enough stops to win games.
06:38And I the Seahawks are an interesting team where I think their defense is phenomenal. I think they can have a deep playoff run, but I still have in the back of my head, you know, week 18 last year with Sam Darnold in this same spot for for the same type of situation, the same stakes and one seat on the line and and and a division title on the line.
07:00And so I'm going to take the Niners. I'm going to take the Niners and I'm just going to trust that Brock Purdy stays in the zone because he is in the zone the way he was playing on Sunday night.
07:09That was pretty much perfect football. You know, I'm a big Brock Purdy guy. You know, I'm all about that minivan.
07:16I'm all about what doesn't look good, but feels good. At the end of the day, let me tell you this. The 49ers offense is clicking on all syllables. That's a Shanahan's offense.
07:26That defense, though, is missing a couple pieces. So I got to go with the full team. I'm talking Seattle Seahawks. Offense, defense, special teams. Do I believe in Sam Darnold?
07:36Yes, I do believe in Sam Darnold. Have he seen ghosts? Yes, he has. And we all just seen ghosts in our dreams.
07:41I'm going with the Seattle Seahawks. I think they're the most complete team right now. Throw the ball, run the ball, stop people on defense, special teams.
07:48I'm going with the Seattle Seahawks. It's hard for me because I love some Brock Purdy, but I'm going with Seattle.
07:54Coach, what do you think? Yeah, I think both guys just made some good statements, but I'm going with Seattle.
08:00Casey, I picked the Seahawks to get to the Super Bowl a few weeks ago.
08:03And after that comeback win against the Rams, I think Sam Darnold put a lot of the negativity that you guys feel behind him.
08:12I mean, he is the only quarterback in the history of the game to win 13 or more games with a brand new team back-to-back seasons.
08:20They have a much better defense than the 49ers do.
08:24The 49ers defense can't rush the passer. They're going to struggle to stop Seattle.
08:30I love the Seahawks kicker. I think when it comes right down to it, the Seahawks are a more well-rounded football team,
08:38and they're going to become the number one seed in the NFC.
08:42I'm switching my pick.
08:46No, what coach said is really the point.
08:51So my fears of Sam Darnold probably won't be realized in this game because coach said it perfectly.
08:58The pass rush for the 49ers is non-existent.
09:00If you can't get to Sam Darnold, he can pick them apart.
09:03So, yeah, I'm going to go with the Seahawks.
09:06Good pick, coach.
09:07Come on, big kid. I said the same thing that coach said.
09:10No, he said it better. He said it better.
09:11You're going to paint over that? You're going to paint over that and say, you know what, coach said it right,
09:15but Fred just said regular things, so it doesn't matter.
09:18I like the way the coach said it.
09:20And Fred, never in your life have you said a regular thing.
09:24That is just not something that Fred Smoot does.
09:27Come on, Casey.
09:29All I'm doing, like, y'all got y'all version.
09:31I got the truth.
09:32That's all I'm saying.
09:34Well, you know, every once in a while, Dan wants to change his pick.
09:37He is allowed to do that.
09:38He liked what coach said better than you.
09:39Yeah.
09:40We said the same thing.
09:42Good pick, coach.
09:45All right, Jerry.
09:46It's time for Jerry coordinator, and I'm very interested to see how this is going to work while we're all remote.
09:52Yeah, I think Tom has a graphic he can put on the screen.
09:56Is that true, accurate, Tom?
10:00Oh, look at that.
10:01Whoa.
10:03Jerry, you seem so down, Jerry.
10:06What's wrong with you?
10:07Oh, Fred, the Steelers have just destroyed him.
10:11What's wrong with you, Jerry?
10:13There's no energy.
10:14There's no life into your voice.
10:16What's wrong, man?
10:17Fred, let me get into the play, and then we'll talk Steelers, Fred.
10:21Fred, the Steelers made him actually physically sick on Sunday night.
10:26He had a full coat on Sunday night watching Sunday Night Football because he had the chills.
10:31Full-body chills.
10:32You got everything you deserved.
10:34You can tell he has the defensive line on the left slid all the way over there.
10:39You can tell he was screwed up when he drew.
10:42Can you guys see the play?
10:44I can't see the play.
10:44Yeah, I see it.
10:45You can?
10:46I can't see it.
10:48Well, we're looking at it.
10:49It stinks.
10:51Well, it all depends on the safeties, John.
10:54If those safeties come down, we're going to hit that deep post.
10:58If they stay up, right?
11:00If they stay up, we're going to go underneath.
11:02You got some crossers in there.
11:04I can't see the play right now.
11:05I'm using my phone.
11:07I have the play drawn on my phone.
11:09But this is all about the safeties.
11:11And listen, if everything is covered and it's man-to-man, we could hit that running back out on the flat.
11:17That's a cover four-beater, Jerry.
11:19You have a nice cover four-beater.
11:22But you got to have speed over there on the right side at that Z position.
11:26And I don't know if you are going to split a tight end out there like the Steelers are to run one of those 5-4-40 guys on a post.
11:34You don't have much speed in Pittsburgh without Metcalf.
11:37So I don't know if this is going to work unless you got DK out there at Z.
11:43I mean, that's fair, John.
11:44If the Steelers are on this play, it's probably not going to work.
11:48Yeah, just like the Steelers.
11:50You stink.
11:51I'm sorry.
11:52Fred, you stink too, Fred.
11:54Like, what are you talking about?
11:56No, no, Jerry.
11:57Hey, Tampa Bay stinks.
11:59The Scamander stink.
12:00The Steelers, we all stink.
12:02Not all of us.
12:04Except for Big Cat.
12:06Hey, Big Cat, it's going to end very soon for you.
12:09It's going to end very soon for you.
12:11We're talking one week in the playoffs, and you'll be sitting with me and Coach Gruden.
12:15This is what they do.
12:15You can't talk like that, Fred.
12:17You can't talk like that.
12:17This is what they do.
12:19Fred is a perfect – he might as well just have a troll face on right now.
12:22They move the goalposts.
12:24They were the same guys that were saying the Bears are going to not make the playoffs.
12:28We're the same guys that were saying they can't win the NFC North.
12:31We're the same guys that are saying that they're going to lose in the first round.
12:34Yep.
12:34You're the same guy.
12:36You're right.
12:36The Bears could win the Super Bowl this year, and Fred will come on this show next year
12:40and be like, well, they can't go back to back.
12:43No, no, no, no, no.
12:44We know for a fact they cannot win the Super Bowl.
12:47Y'all are not going to win the Super Bowl.
12:48Why not?
12:49We'll get to the game.
12:50I have a plan.
12:51I have a plan.
12:52I want to hear, Catfish.
12:54Okay.
12:54Well, we're going to get to that game.
12:56But, Dan, what week was it that he had to get down on his knee to apologize for the Bears?
13:01Because I feel like he should have learned his lesson then.
13:03It was a couple weeks ago.
13:04Yeah, I mean, he should have learned his lesson a million times.
13:06But he's just the same guy.
13:08Oh, the Eagles are going to fuck up the Bears.
13:10Oh, the Packers are going to beat them twice.
13:12Oh, they're going to lose this game.
13:13They're going to lose that game.
13:14They're going to win 11 games and not make the playoffs.
13:17Oh, they're not going to win the NFC North.
13:18Oh, they're not going to win a playoff game.
13:20Oh, they're not going to win a Super Bowl.
13:21Oh, they can't go back to back.
13:23Oh, they can't do a three-peat.
13:24That's what he's going to be doing the next three years.
13:27Man, the best thing in Chicago is deep-dish pizza.
13:29Other than that, it's over with.
13:31We're going to get to Dan's plan in a little bit.
13:35But, Jerry, I know you're down tremendous.
13:37We've got to talk about it, though.
13:38The Game of the Week presented by the Chevy Silverado.
13:41Sunday night football.
13:42The Ravens and the Steelers.
13:44Jerry, I'm just going to let you go wherever you want to go with this.
13:47Yeah.
13:48Listen, Dan knows me well by now.
13:51I was down.
13:52I was really down.
13:53I did.
13:54I did.
13:54The Steelers lost.
13:55I got sick from it.
13:56I had full-body chills.
13:58I had the coat on on PMT.
13:59I couldn't really get up for it.
14:01But, I do have a little hope this game.
14:04There's a little bit of hope.
14:05It's starting to creep back.
14:06As the week goes on, it's starting to creep back a little bit.
14:10It looks like Lamar's not going to play.
14:12If they can figure out how to stop this running game with the Ravens, which they've been doing a great job against the run since Derek Harmon has been healthy, they could win this game.
14:23I know there's no receivers, and we got Scotty Miller, Adam Thielen, MVS.
14:27They don't look great.
14:28But if the Steelers can stick to their game plan, which is stop the run.
14:32And Arthur Smith, you got to run the ball a little bit more.
14:36We're getting some chunk plays running the ball.
14:38He refuses to stick with the run.
14:41He's just very inconsistent with the play calls, the different personnel.
14:48I think the X factor here is Darnell Washington.
14:51He's going to be out, and that's going to be tough for Pittsburgh.
14:55But we need guys to step up.
14:58Dylan Cook, fourth string left tackle, has been doing a great job.
15:01Listen, this game comes down to if the Steelers lose this game, right, you got to burn it all down.
15:10Everybody got to go.
15:12I'm talking Mike Tomlin, Arthur Smith, Rodgers got to go.
15:16Receiver, DK Metcalf, you got to get rid of him after the season.
15:19We need a full rebuild.
15:21We need a full rebuild.
15:22My God, I wish I was there in person so I could reach in the stands and DK Metcalf choke you, Jerry.
15:29All right, because you know damn well y'all are not going to win this game.
15:32It's over in the Pittsburgh.
15:34Oh, really, Fred?
15:35Oh, really?
15:36The sun never shines in Pittsburgh.
15:39It's over.
15:40You're looking at a fractured team.
15:41You're looking at an organization right now that's just good with making the playoffs.
15:45You're looking at an organization that just want to get in it so they can say they always in it.
15:50But y'all are not in it.
15:51We know y'all are not in it.
15:52DK Metcalf, when he reached in those stands in Detroit, changed y'all whole season.
15:57It's over, man.
15:59Dan, is that true?
16:00Yeah, I think you guys are probably screwed.
16:03I don't know.
16:04You put a lot of blame on Arthur Smith.
16:06I think Aaron Rodgers is also not playing great football.
16:09I mean, that Browns game, he had guys open in the middle of the field.
16:12He was throwing hero balls, fades, you know.
16:15At the end of the game, too, Dan.
16:16At the end of the game, too, Kenneth Gainwell was wide open.
16:19Yeah, I mean, it's just, it's, I don't know.
16:23I feel like I can always have a read on Mike Tomlin.
16:25And the problem is, the Ravens are also not good.
16:28Yeah.
16:29I'm going to take the Ravens in this game, though.
16:31I just think.
16:32Me, too.
16:33I think that they probably can do enough.
16:35And if they just run Derrick Henry down your throat, try to control the clock, it will be
16:40interesting to see if Lamar plays.
16:41If Lamar doesn't play, is there a chance we saw, we've seen Lamar play his last game as
16:46a Raven?
16:46Because it feels weird.
16:47Things feel weird right now in Baltimore.
16:49Yeah.
16:50Coach, what do you think about that?
16:51There's a lot of noise around Lamar Jackson right now, and it's kind of hard to figure
16:54out what's true and what's not.
16:56But what's your read on it?
16:57Yeah, I don't understand that either.
16:59I don't like what I'm reading and what I'm hearing, obviously.
17:02Lamar's my favorite guy.
17:04I mean, we've been waiting for him to come out all year.
17:07He's obviously been hurt.
17:09Now you're hearing that there's some friction.
17:11There's some things going on behind the scenes.
17:13I don't put much stock into that because a lot of the things that you do here are complete
17:18bullshit.
17:19Yeah.
17:19But I want to know this.
17:22Is DK Metcalf playing, Jerry?
17:24No.
17:25No.
17:25And Darnell Washington is for sure out?
17:28Yeah.
17:28He broke his arm.
17:29There's no way he can play.
17:31Yeah.
17:32And that's a concern.
17:33You know, I do think this.
17:35The Steelers not long ago went to Baltimore and shredded them.
17:39Aaron Rodgers threw it over their head three times, twice to DK Metcalf.
17:45And I think the loss of Metcalf has really disabled this passing game.
17:51They have nobody to go to.
17:52I mean, Adam Thielen and Scanling, they just got there two weeks ago.
17:57I just can't see Pittsburgh winning this game.
18:00He dust you, Fred, by the way, in his prime.
18:02I was so impressed.
18:03I was so impressed with Baltimore on the road last week.
18:07I think Baltimore is a better road team, Dan, than they are a home team.
18:12You might be right.
18:13I think they play better.
18:15They get away from all the action back in Baltimore, and they go on the road, and it's
18:20us against the world.
18:22I just have a feeling about Harbaugh getting his guys right for the Ravens to beat Green
18:28Bay like they did.
18:30That was an ass-kicking.
18:31Yeah.
18:32I think for them to, if they could follow this up with a big win and clinch the division
18:37title in Pittsburgh, that is so Harbaugh-like, it's almost like a movie script.
18:42I'm taking the Ravens.
18:43And you said it, Coach.
18:45Aaron Rodgers targeting wide receivers on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, 8 for
18:5021 for 60 yards.
18:51They have no verticality in this offense.
18:54Roquan Smith is probably going to have 25 tackles in this game.
18:57It's just DK is a massive, massive feature of this offense, and no Darnell as well, which
19:03you know they want to run the heavy sets.
19:05It's going to be tough sledding, Jerry.
19:07Yeah.
19:08He's got a bad thing, Jerry.
19:10He's got a bad thing, Jerry.
19:12At 46 years old, Scantley wouldn't have a chance against me.
19:15He'll have many catches as a dead man.
19:18All right?
19:18So don't ever say that to me.
19:21He would toast you, Fred.
19:23He would burn you.
19:24Not a chance.
19:25He would be.
19:26They would send it back at the diner.
19:28They'd be like, this toast is too burnt.
19:30Hey, I just watched him go three plays in a row against the Browns where they tried to
19:35hit him in the red zone.
19:37Not even close.
19:38It wasn't even a chance.
19:39I got one question before I go for John.
19:43Listen, why do they run these go balls with guys who aren't big, you know, like Scotty
19:51Miller when they have just three, four other guys on the field?
19:55They don't use Pat Farm.
19:56Why is that the option to run go balls to Scotty Miller and go to MVS three times in
20:02the red zone with the game on the line?
20:04Oh, I don't know.
20:06I really don't know.
20:07Usually, you know, you try to get more options.
20:09You try to get a couple options and then use the scramble option of Aaron Rodgers.
20:14That's how they beat the Ravens earlier.
20:16Remember, Rodgers scrambled it in for a touchdown.
20:19I thought for sure he would look to create on at least one of those plays, but you never
20:24know.
20:25I mean, they were obviously going after the corner opposite Denzel Ward.
20:29That appeared to be a big part of their game plan.
20:32Yeah.
20:33Well, I mean, we're going to find out Sunday night.
20:35All right.
20:36Let's get into the playbook picks presented by DraftKings.

20:53Dan, you said you had a plan for the Chicago Bears.
20:56So, of course, your playbook pick, the Lions at the Bears.
20:59Tell us.
21:00All right.
21:00Tell us all about your grand plan.
21:02Yeah.
21:02So, the Bears do have a lot to play for.
21:05I think Ben Johnson will play everyone.
21:07Getting the two seed and getting, you know, potentially two home playoff games is massive,
21:11especially with how the Bears have played defense at home versus on the road.
21:15Dude, the Bears can go to the Super Bowl, Fred.
21:19Oh, my God.
21:21If they can get two to three turnovers a game, they can go to the Super Bowl.
21:28If I can get people to vote for me, I can be president.
21:32Listen, they've gotten a lot of turnovers.
21:34I'm just saying I understand this defense is not good.
21:36The pass rush is a very big problem.
21:38It's going to be hard to win games in January with this defense, but the offense is ascending
21:44at the correct time, and I think you've seen how everyone is cut.
21:48Like, Luther Burden was phenomenal.
21:50I think Roma Dunsay is going to come back.
21:52They can run the football.
21:53They can control the clock.
21:55If the defense can turn the ball over a couple times in January, this team can beat anyone
22:01in the NFC playoffs.
22:03Hey, do you expect Caleb Williams' completion rate to go up in the playoffs, or do you expect
22:09it to go down?
22:10Idiots like you, all you got left is Caleb Williams' completion percentage.
22:16He was phenomenal on Sunday night.
22:18Oh, but he didn't throw 60%.
22:20Who cares?
22:22He moves the ball.
22:23He's got an arm that maybe two other guys in the league have.
22:28That all is going to get better and better and better, and I don't care if you're winning
22:33games, and they're winning games, because guess what?
22:35They've won, what, 11 of them.
22:38If you're winning games, what do I care about a completion percentage being 59% versus 62%?
22:45This is why you should do this, because in that last play of that game that y'all just
22:51lost, he threw that ball short.
22:53Luther Burden could have caught that ball in the end.
22:55No shit, Freddie.
22:55He had fucking two guys in his face two seconds into the play.
22:58They dropped eight and brought two, and the two got home instantly.
23:05Two.
23:05Two got home.
23:06I know.
23:07That's a problem.
23:09They didn't have it.
23:11Ben Johnson, and by the way, Ben Johnson, I love him to death.
23:14He can do no wrong.
23:15He said afterwards, yeah, we didn't get the play-in in time, and it wasn't exactly what
23:20we wanted.
23:20The execution was bad.
23:21I think the Bears are going to learn a lot from that loss, but if you walked away from
23:24that game on Sunday Night Football and said to yourself, oh, the Bears are going to just
23:28get killed in the NFC playoffs, you're crazy.
23:30They went toe-to-toe with what could be the one seed in their building, and they almost
23:37had a chance to win it.
23:40Oh, my God.
23:41I don't know why Fred is so negative on the Bears.
23:45I mean, Fred, you act like you've been in a traffic jam, three hours of traffic.
23:50I don't know why.
23:50Leaving the Washington Commander game after getting your ass kicked again.
23:54I don't know why you're so negative.
23:56I know why, Coach.
23:57Can I tell you why?
23:58Yeah.
23:58Why?
23:58Because he spent an entire season last year dunking on the Bears and being like, Jaden
24:04Daniels is so much better than Caleb Williams.
24:06Yeah, you're right.
24:06That's exactly right, James.
24:07And this year, it's flipped a little bit, and now he's all in his feelings, and he thought
24:12he was going to have 10 years where he could be like, can you believe the Bears passed
24:16on Jaden Daniels?
24:17And now it's looking like it might not be the case, and he's getting in his feelings.
24:22Hey, can we agree?
24:23And he's being a little petty.
24:24He's just being a little petty.
24:25I'm not being petty.
24:26Can we agree?
24:27Yes, you are.
24:28Hey, when you watch Star Wars, I like the first Star Wars, but one of my favorites is
24:33the return of the Jedi.
24:34Okay.
24:35The return of the Jedi.
24:36And next year, we'll be the return of the Jedi.
24:39We're going to see a trilogy play out in our favor.
24:41Listen, it's going great for y'all, all right?
24:44But I can say this, Drake May is playing better than Caleb Williams right now.
24:47Didn't say he wasn't.
24:48He's probably the MVP.
24:50Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
24:51All the guys in that draft class are phenomenal, but you spent an entire year just being like,
24:56ha-ha, Caleb Williams, bust, bust, bust.
24:59No, I didn't say he was no bust.
25:00And now, and now you're pathetic because all you got is 59.5% completion percentage.
25:06Yes, that won't help you in the playoffs.
25:08Hey, you guys listen to Casey.
25:09Look at Casey.
25:11Casey wants to know who you're picking in the freaking game.
25:14I'm taking the Bears.
25:16I assumed Dan was taking the Bears.
25:18I also assumed Fred's going to take the Lions, coach.
25:20I'm more concerned about who you're taking.
25:22Fred, are you taking the Lions?
25:24You know what?
25:25I'm not.
25:26Oh, jeez.
25:27Of course he is.
25:29I'm going to take the Bears.
25:30I'm taking the Bears, okay?
25:31I'm taking the Bears.
25:33I'm going to run with the Bears.
25:34All right?
25:34You like that, big cat?
25:35I'm taking the Bears.
25:36No, I don't.
25:37Over the Lions.
25:37Because Jerry Golf, oh my God, what's going on with Jerry Golf right now?
25:42I'm going to take the Bears.
25:43I don't like that you're taking the Bears because there has not been a single person in America
25:47that's been more wrong about the Bears than Fred Smoot this year.
25:50So I don't like that you're on the Bears now.
25:52And you know that if he takes the Bears and they lose,
25:57then he's going to blame it on the Bears and dunk on it.
25:59Of course, Doug.
26:00I told you so.
26:0159.5%.
26:02I'm taking the Bears.
26:05Coach, who are you taking?
26:07You know, I think there's a big storyline here.
26:10If you recall early in the year,
26:13the Bears went to Detroit and got their brains beat in.
26:17I think it was 52-17.
26:19Dan, do you remember that?
26:20Yes, that was right before the gateway.
26:22I kind of felt like the Lions rubbed it in.
26:25I think they tried to score late to make it 52-17.
26:29And I think this is an opportunity for Chicago to repay the Lions
26:34with making them go 8-9 and finish last in the NFC North.
26:40I think they got a chance to really play bah humbug.
26:44I think the Bears got to get a little bit back to that ball possession offense,
26:49running Manungi, running Swift, getting 32 or 33 minutes of clock
26:54so their defense isn't out there quite as much.
26:58And I do think the Bears are going to win this game.
27:00And I think, like Dan, I think with Caleb Williams in this running game,
27:06this punter, they got some guys on defense that can hawk the ball, man.
27:11They're going to be a pain in the ass to be eliminated,
27:13especially if they get some home games in the cold weather in Chicago.
27:18Yep.
27:19Facts.
27:20Fred, you're just going to have to accept it.
27:22You just have to accept it.
27:23It's fine.
27:23I picked the Bears to win this game.
27:26I do believe in revenge.
27:27Like, the North remembers, the North remembers what you did to us early in the year.
27:32I'm going with the Bears.
27:33Like Coach said, when you rub it in our face like that, we remember that game.
27:37We're coming to fight you again.
27:38So I'm going with the Bears.
27:40All right, Coach, your playbook pick, the Saints at the Falcons.
27:44Man, this game has a lot of implications,
27:47given the fact that if Tampa Bay beats Carolina,
27:52Atlanta, essentially, Atlanta could really ruin my whole new year.
27:58But I'm telling you this, I love Tyler Shuck.
28:01We had him down here.
28:02He is doing a hell of a job, man.
28:06The Falcons are running high right now after that Monday night win.
28:11Everybody's patting them on the back.
28:13It's the last home game.
28:15The Saints are coming to town.
28:17They're going to get another win, and the New Orleans Saints are going to save
28:22my Tampa Bay Buccaneers because we're going to beat the Carolina Panthers,
28:27and the Falcons are going to lose to Tyler Shuck and the red-hot New Orleans Saints.
28:33Shame on you, Coach.
28:35Shame on you.
28:36That's what's going to happen, Fred.
28:37Hey, shame on you for reaching for the New Orleans Saints to save Tampa Bay season.
28:42I love the Saints.
28:43Have you watched these guys the last five weeks?
28:45Hey, listen, oh shucks, oh shucks, they are coming.
28:49But boy, did you see those Atlanta Falcons, lad.
28:52Hey, listen, the Atlanta Falcons with Kyle Pitts, B. John Robinson,
28:56that's the best mustard I've ever tasted in my life.
28:59At the end of the day, I'm telling you right now, it's the Atlanta Falcons.
29:02And you know I don't really like the Atlanta Falcons.
29:04The ex-wife make me not like the Atlanta Falcons.
29:06But I'm telling you right now, Kirk Cousins is showing people,
29:10I'm a starter in this league.
29:12And I wouldn't be shocked if they kept Kirk Cousins as the starter next year.
29:16I'm going with the Atlanta Falcons.
29:17Dan?
29:18It's Tyler Shuck.
29:19He's the best quarterback in the league.
29:20He's the offensive rookie of the year.
29:22He's been phenomenal.
29:23The way he throws the ball, it's so catchable.
29:26The Saints are, they got some vibes going.
29:28And I think the Saints are going to win.
29:29So rest assured, Coach, you're going to be okay.
29:33Tyler Shuck's got you.
29:34Live.
29:35I love Chris Olave.
29:37I don't know if you guys have seen Chris Olave recently.
29:40A hundred catches.
29:41There's a lot to be excited about with the New Orleans Saints.
29:44I mean, eight weeks ago, you guys, we were all dumping on the Saints.
29:48We don't want to talk about this game.
29:51Nobody wants to play the Saints right now.
29:54Nobody.
29:54The Saints and the Falcons are two massive what-if teams.
29:59Because if the Saints had maybe started the season with Tyler Shuck,
30:03could they be in position right now to be playing for the NFC South title?
30:08And the Atlanta Falcons, they lost to the New York Jets.
30:12If they didn't lose to the New York Jets,
30:14they'd be playing to get in the playoffs as well.
30:17So both these teams are playing good football down the stretch.
30:20I think we should actually, like, someone should step in and say,
30:24hey, screw the Panthers and Bucs.
30:26The Saints and Falcons is for the NFC South.
30:29Like, Coach, I know you don't like that,
30:31but the point is that this game,
30:34even though it doesn't mean a whole lot for these two specific teams,
30:37it's pretty awesome to watch.
30:40Yeah, it is awesome to watch.
30:41I love people that finish, that strain to finish things.
30:46A lot of teams, like you watch Fred's team,
30:48none of their players are even playing.
30:51Oh, let's just save these guys.
30:53We heard.
30:53Hell, I'm watching my Raiders play the other day.
30:57They didn't even play their best player.
30:59And he's fighting with the team.
31:01A lot of people are sitting down their players, not the Saints.
31:06That's how you get better.
31:07That's how you build character.
31:09That's how you build your team,
31:11by improving and showcasing your mental toughness.
31:14I love what the Falcons and Saints are doing.
31:17Come to think of it, I'm going to get in my car and go to that game.
31:20There we go.
31:21Love it.
31:23That means they're going to lose.
31:24All right, well, Fred.
31:27You know what, Fred?
31:28I'm putting this all together.
31:30So you're kind of preying on the Bears' downfall.
31:32You don't want Coach to be happy,
31:34and it's because your commanders stink.
31:36That's why.
31:38You want them to be unhappy.
31:40Misery loves company.
31:43Well, your playbook pick, let's talk about Misery Loves Company.
31:45Your playbook pick are the commanders at the Eagles.
31:48All right.
31:49Here go the thing about it.
31:50I hate the last week of the season because the one thing we don't know is
31:53who going to play and who not going to play.
31:56Like, this is what makes it so hard to pick games.
31:58I don't even know if Philadelphia is going to play in the next starters.
32:00I don't think they even need this game.
32:02But when I got to go in here with my third-screen quarterback,
32:05and we're just in shambles right now.
32:07And I understand that.
32:09So I'm a realist.
32:09And so being a realist, I'm going to be honest with myself and say,
32:13you know what, I hate to say this, it tastes like ugh in my mouth,
32:17but I'm going to say Philadelphia wins this game.
32:19I'm going to be honest with myself.
32:20You can lie to a lot of people in this world, your mama, your wife,
32:23but don't lie to yourself.
32:24I'm going with Philadelphia.
32:26Dan?
32:27I'm going to take the commanders here.
32:29I think the Eagles are going to rest starters.
32:31I really do.
32:32I think they're going to rest starters.
32:33And I think that you saw it two weeks ago when there was that fight
32:35and Dan Quinn said, hey, we'll see him in two weeks.
32:39He wants to finish this season strong.
32:41I think it's too many points.
32:42And, yeah, it looks like the Eagles, from all the reports from Nick Sirianni,
32:46might rest some guys.
32:47So I'll take the commanders.
32:49Hey, Dan, remember how I changed your mind on the Sam Darnold pick
32:53a little while ago?
32:54Yeah.
32:55Listen to this.
32:56McKee, the backup quarterback of the Eagles.
33:00Are you with me?
33:01Yeah, Tanner McKee.
33:01He's good.
33:02He reminds me of Johnny Unitas compared to the commanders.
33:06Have you seen Tank Bigsby run the football?
33:10He looks like Jim Brown compared to what the commanders got.
33:14Oh, what are you talking about?
33:16The commanders are going to get beat.
33:19And there's no way they're going to Philadelphia on New Year's weekend
33:24to win a game.
33:26That ain't happening.
33:27Eagles will win and cover.
33:29No doubt.
33:31Hey, Casey, I'm through.
33:32I'm changing my pick right now.
33:34I'm going with the commanders right now.
33:37We're going to Philadelphia.
33:39We're going to finish cracking the Liberty Bell.
33:42We're going to kick over that Rocky statue because he don't really exist
33:45as a real person.
33:47I'm going with the commanders.
33:48Fred, who's your backup quarterback?
33:50I mean, all your quarterbacks, they run the ball every play.
33:54All of them are hurt.
33:55What happens when Josh Johnson gets hurt?
33:57Have you ever looked in the face of Sam Hartman?
34:01He looked like Jesus.
34:03I'm going to tell you like this.
34:05We're going to win this game.
34:06Let's go.
34:08Let's go.
34:09Jesus.
34:10He does.
34:11Another guy.
34:13I knew you were going to flip at some point, Fred.
34:15I knew you couldn't go out like that.
34:18Week 18.
34:19Let's get to the Fox 1 rapid fire picks of the week.
34:22Start your seven-day free trial today.
34:23Offers are subject to change.
34:25Go to Fox 1 for complete terms and conditions.
34:27Fox NFL Sundays are now on Fox 1.
34:30Dan, I'll start with you.
34:31The Browns at the Bengals.
34:33What's the line?
34:34Who cares?
34:34Minus seven.
34:36Cincinnati minus seven.
34:37I'll take the Browns.
34:38Joe Flacco's starting.
34:39I don't know.
34:40Miles Garrett's going to try to get his sacks.
34:42These are so we're going to get into some games that I have no opinion on,
34:46but I'm going to take the Browns.
34:48Yeah, just for the record's sake, you guys have to take it,
34:50but obviously, like we've said, a lot of these games aren't going to matter
34:53in week 18.
34:54So, Coach, are you taking the Browns or the Bengals?
34:56I'm taking the Bengals.
34:58Browns are just too hard for me to watch.
34:59I'm taking the Bengals because of Joe Burrow.
35:02He's not playing.
35:03He's not playing?
35:05No.
35:06No, he's not.
35:07How do you know he's not playing?
35:09I just told you, Joe Flacco's playing.
35:11Yeah, Joe Flacco's playing.
35:12Yeah, I hate football right now.
35:18What the hell?
35:20Guys don't play.
35:21What are we doing?
35:22What's the point in having these goddamn games?
35:25I'm going to check real quick,
35:26but I'm pretty sure I saw a report that Joe Flacco was going to play.
35:30I'll take the Bengals with Flacco.
35:32All right.
35:33No, no, no, no, no.
35:34I'm going to go.
35:36I think the Browns are going to shadour them.
35:39Listen, shadour's stats don't look the same,
35:41but he brings the energy to their team,
35:43and I think Miles Garrett not only breaks the record by second Flacco
35:48three times, I think that the Browns are going to win this game,
35:52and I think they're going to win this game by 10.
35:54I just feel it.
35:55I know one thing about Cincinnati.
35:57They don't play defense in Cincinnati.
35:59None.
36:00Absolutely zero.
36:01I'm going with the Cleveland Browns in this one.
36:04All right.
36:04I'm just checking real quick.
36:06I think that it's Joe Flacco.
36:08I'm pretty sure it's Joe Flacco
36:10because I don't want to give you false information here,
36:13but I saw everyone talking about the fact that Joe Flacco played on the Browns
36:18against the Bengals week one,
36:20and then in week 18 he's going to play on the Bengals against the Browns.
36:24It's the Browns.
36:25Yes.
36:25Yes.
36:26I'm going to assume it's Joe Flacco.
36:28I'm going to take the Browns.
36:29I'm going with the Browns.
36:31And, Coach, are you taking them regardless of who's at quarterback?
36:34I'm taking the Bengals.
36:36I'm taking the Bengals.
36:37You know, I'm disappointed to hear that, but, yeah, I'm taking the Bengals.
36:43Okay, Coach, I'll come back to you.
36:44The Colts at the Texans.
36:46The Texans minus 10.
36:48Well, who's playing quarterback for Indianapolis this week?
36:50Riley Leonard.
36:52I'm taking the Texans.
36:55Okay, Dayton.
36:56Yeah, I'll take the Texans too, I guess.
37:00Easiest pick of the day.
37:02I'm taking the Texans defense, offense, special team.
37:06They just better.
37:06I'm sorry.
37:07We watched the Colts just flutter down in.
37:10Oh, man, Rivers wasn't enough.
37:12I'm going with the Texans.
37:14All right, Fred, the Titans at the Jags.
37:16The Jags minus 12 and a half.
37:19I don't pick the Titans for anything.
37:21I wouldn't pick the Titans to win a soccer match right now.
37:24No, no, no, no, no.
37:25I'm going with the opposite.
37:26I will never pick the Titans right now.
37:29They the stinkiest team in the NFL.
37:31And, Dan, Trevor Lawrence still continuing to play really well.
37:34Trevor Lawrence has been awesome.
37:34The Jags are playing for something.
37:36They're playing for the AFC South title.
37:38And if the Jaguars win and the Patriots lose, the Jaguars can get the two seed.
37:44So, they're finishing the season strong.
37:46I'm going to take the Jaguars.
37:47Coach?
37:48Yeah.
37:49I will say this.
37:50Tennessee has played better the last couple weeks.
37:52They dominated the shorthanded Chiefs.
37:55They played well offensively at times last week.
37:58But I'm going to go with the Jaguars.
38:00I'm glad you brought up Trevor Lawrence.
38:02What a job he's doing.
38:04And he almost single-handedly won that game last week against the Colts.
38:08He's scrambling.
38:10He's audibling.
38:11He's having a hell of a year, man.
38:13And I'm excited about Jaguar football.
38:17Aren't you guys jacked up about the Jags?
38:19They're really good.
38:20They're really good.
38:21I like you.
38:22Yeah, I really am.
38:23And, I mean, Coach, you know this better than anybody.
38:25It's like we heard about Trevor Lawrence for so long.
38:28And then when he was at Clemson, it was like he's going to be the next franchise guy.
38:31And we've kind of been waiting to see that version of him.
38:33And now we're seeing it week after week.
38:35And that's what's exciting to me as someone who loves college football.
38:37It's like finally we're seeing this Trevor Lawrence.
38:40Yeah, and you can see why Clemson was such a good team when they had Lawrence and ETN.
38:45But this defense of the Jaguars is formidable.
38:48And they got a hell of a kicker.
38:49I mean, this guy can make kicks from Ocala.
38:55All right, Dan.
38:56The Packers at the Vikings.
38:57The Vikings minus six and a half.
39:00Uh, the Packers.
39:02I'm going to take the Vikings.
39:04I mean, the Vikings are playing good football right now.
39:05The Packers are going to rest everyone.
39:07They're going to treat this as a bye week.
39:08They have a lot of injuries.
39:09So, I'll take the Vikings.
39:12Fred?
39:12Oh, you know, I played there at the Vikings.
39:15And I think, I hate to ever agree with Catfish on this one, man.
39:19But if they're going to rest the players that they're going to rest, I think the Vikings
39:23are just going to keep playing.
39:24And that defense, my God, that defense smothers people.
39:27I'm going to go with the Minnesota Vikings.
39:29Skull!
39:30Coach?
39:32You know, the Vikings only passed for about 40 yards last week.
39:35It was one of the worst football games I ever watched from an offensive standpoint.
39:40I mean, Detroit couldn't pick up one blitz.
39:43I couldn't believe it.
39:45And then, the Vikings couldn't do anything on offense until they ran a jet sweep to Addison.
39:51I can't believe the Packers are going to get their ass kicked like they did against Baltimore,
39:57not follow up with a much, much better effort.
40:02I think Minnesota's in trouble.
40:04I'm going with Green Bay here.
40:06All right, Fred.
40:07I know that we said this off the top of the show, but we're going to remind you again,
40:10the Dallas Cowboys are eliminated from the playoff.
40:15Just for the record's sake, the Cowboys at the Giants, the Cowboys minus four and a half.
40:20Well, the thing about it is, I can say this.
40:23The skinny Dak Prescott, George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb going against the New York Giants.
40:29As much as I love me some Jackson Dart, I'm going to go with the Cowboys on this one.
40:33I know they eliminated, but they will finish the season strong.
40:37And I'm telling you this now, before we even get to next year, nobody's going to want to play the Cowboys next year.
40:43I'm going with the Cowboys right now.
40:45Dan?
40:46Yeah, Cowboys.
40:47Give me the Cowboys.
40:48Fred's team.
40:49He's going to, next week when he looks at the playoff schedule, he's going to be like, where the fuck are the Cowboys?
40:53And as somebody who is a Washington guy, for him to love the Cowboys as much is bizarre.
41:00I don't love the Cowboys.
41:02I just respect what they got going on down there.
41:05And everybody hated on Jerry Jones when he traded Michael Parsons.
41:09Like, it was the end of the world.
41:11I think they're in a better place from there.
41:13They got two first-round draft picks.
41:14They're going to be a team to be reckoned with.
41:17Coach, what do you think?
41:18I'm going to go with the Giants.
41:20I really like what I saw last week against my old Raiders.
41:23I thought Jackson Dart, he had a different look about him.
41:27You know, he wasn't wearing the jewelry.
41:29He just seemed focused.
41:30He was getting out of bounds.
41:32And he looked great.
41:33I thought it was the best overall performance by Jackson Dart.
41:37It's going to be cold.
41:39The last time these two teams met, remember, it was like 49 to 48 or something.
41:44Brandon Aubrey kicked that 60-yard field goal at the buzzer.
41:48Russell Wilson threw for like 5,000 yards.
41:51I really like the Giants going 2-0 to finish the season.
41:57I'm going with the Giants and the points.
41:59Coach, you don't believe that.
42:00The New York Giants are breakdancers.
42:02They're not real.
42:03Come on now.
42:04You don't believe that, Coach.
42:06I'm not sold on the Cowboys at all.
42:08I mean, if it's a seven-on-seven tournament.
42:11What didn't sell you on them?
42:12The fact that they aren't in the playoffs and lost like every game in December.
42:16I thought they almost could have lost to the Commanders
42:18if they don't convert a fourth down call last week.
42:21I mean, my friend Bill, the running back, took off and ran 80 yards untouched.
42:26I don't have any confidence in a Cowboy defense.
42:30None.
42:31Okay, Dan.
42:32The Jets at the Bills.
42:34The Bills minus seven.
42:36I mean, the Bills are arresting everyone, but the Jets are so bad.
42:38Give me the Bills.
42:40Fred?
42:40The Jets are unwatchable TV.
42:43Who is on their team?
42:46Listen, I don't want them on my screen.
42:48I don't want them even playing.
42:49I'm going with the Bills.
42:50Bills win.
42:51I don't care if they play their third screen.
42:52They win that game.
42:54Coach?
42:55I'm going to go with the Bills.
42:56I've never seen a Jet team play worse.
43:00I mean, what Trevor Lawrence did to the Jets and what Drake May did to the Jets,
43:04Mitch Trubisky can do to the Jets.
43:06Guys are wide open and they're not executing at all on either side of the ball.
43:13All right, Coach.
43:13So we talked a lot about resting players the next game.
43:16The Chargers at the Broncos.
43:17Was the line moved from seven and a half to 12 and a half?
43:20Because Jim Harbaugh announced that Justin Herbert will not be playing this game.
43:24What do you think about that?
43:26Well, obviously, they want to get him ready for the playoffs.
43:29He's been hit a lot.
43:30He's been hit more than any quarterback in NFL history, if you ask me.
43:34I mean, it's up to 150 times he's been hit.
43:37So I don't blame him against this defense.
43:40I'm going to take Denver.
43:42I think Denver wants this number one overall seed.
43:46I think they've...
43:47The one thing we haven't said about Denver, Casey, is they have $135 million of dead cap space.
43:55They're still paying Russell Wilson.
43:57I mean, the coaching job that the Denver Broncos have done, developing players, rise within,
44:05guys that are coming off the third, fourth, fifth round, players are developing.
44:09They're kicking ass.
44:10They play hard.
44:11I'm going with Denver to cover and take it all.
44:14I don't like the fact Trey Lance has got to see this defense.
44:18Dan, what do you think?
44:18Yeah, give me the Broncos.
44:20I mean, the Chargers don't want to win.
44:22They want to rest everyone.
44:23So give me the Broncos.
44:25Yeah, this is a gimme right there.
44:27I'm going with the Mile High City.
44:28It's Denver all day.
44:29If you're not going to play your quarterback, you don't stand a chance against this defense.
44:33I've seen it firsthand.
44:34Yeah, I'm going with the Denver Broncos on this one.
44:36Let's ride.
44:38Okay, Fred, the Cardinals at the Rams.
44:40The Rams minus seven and a half.
44:44Are the Rams playing Matthew Stafford?
44:46Do anybody know?
44:47Catfish, do you know?
44:48I don't know.
44:48I mean, so their seeding is weird where I believe they would like to get the fifth seed,
44:55obviously, because then you get to play the NFC South winner.
45:01So it comes down to they have to win, and then the Seahawks also have to win.
45:06So I guess we'll find out.
45:08This is kind of one of those coin flip ones where if the 49ers win on Saturday night,
45:14the Rams will be set in the sixth seed.
45:17They probably will sit everyone.
45:18If the Seahawks win, now they might have something to play for, and they want to win that game
45:23so they can go and play against the Panthers or the Bucs.
45:27I hate week 18.
45:29I hate it.
45:29I hate it with all my heart.
45:31It's too many ifs.
45:32It's too many what's.
45:33I'm going to go with the Rams on this one.
45:35I just feel like after losing to the Falcons the way that they did, Matthew Stafford is going
45:39to want to get out there.
45:40He's going to want to get the ball moving up and down the field.
45:42I'm going to go with the L.A. Rams.
45:44Coach, what do you think?
45:45Yeah, after watching Arizona against Cincinnati last week, I would never take Arizona.
45:50I'm taking the Rams.
45:51If it's Garoppolo, that's fine with me.
45:53The Rams have a much better team, and they got a much better culture going on out there.
45:58I'm going with the Rams.
46:00And Dan?
46:00Yeah, I'm going to take the Rams because it's correlated to the Seahawks game.
46:03Like I said, if we all took the Seahawks, we should take the Rams because I think,
46:07I believe that if you can have a chance to play for the fifth seed and play that,
46:13you know, instead of having to go to Philadelphia, you can go to Carolina or Tampa Bay, you're
46:17going to want to take that shot.
46:18So I'll take the Rams.
46:20Yeah, a lot of playoff math going on.
46:22But one game that there is no playoff math that matters, Dan, the Chiefs at the Raiders,
46:26the Chiefs minus five and a half.
46:28Give me the Chiefs.
46:29The Raiders shouldn't even be playing football.
46:31That's not even third three.
46:33The fighting grudens.
46:35I mean, they quit.
46:36They quit.
46:36Max Crosby shooting jumpers.
46:38Yeah.
46:39Coach, do you agree?
46:41Did you see that jumper, though?
46:42Yeah.
46:42I mean, I was like a 30-foot jump shot baseline and swished.
46:46He's a pretty good athlete.
46:48He looks healthy.
46:49Yeah, I'm speechless.
46:52I do like the way the Kansas City Chiefs played Denver on national TV.
46:57They played their ass off.
46:59And with that being said, I'm going to stay with the Chiefs in this game.
47:04I hate to admit it, but Kansas City will find a way to win.
47:07The Raiders obviously want that number one pick.
47:10That's very important to the team.
47:13Right.
47:13Nothing here, nothing there.
47:15I don't want to see the Raiders play anywhere.
47:18That's Coach Gruden right there.
47:20I don't want to see them play anywhere.
47:21I'm going with the Chiefs.
47:23This is the easiest pick of the thing.
47:24The Raiders stink.
47:26All right, Coach, and to finish it out, we have the Dolphins at the Patriots.
47:31The Patriots minus an 11-and-a-half, and Drake May has got the Patriots back.
47:36They're so back.
47:38So are you taking the 11-and-a-half?
47:39I'm all in on the Patriots.
47:42You know, Casey, I always used to tell our players that second-year players show the
47:47most improvement.
47:48And the improvement that I've seen from Caleb Williams, it's awesome.
47:53They get acclimated to the league.
47:55They get a feel for defenses, how hard it is, what they can and can't get away with.
48:01Drake May and Caleb Williams in new offenses, the job that they have done is unbelievable.
48:09And I think it's going to be a – it could be a Bears-Patriots rematch in the Super Bowl.
48:1540 years.
48:15You remember when?
48:1640 years.
48:16You remember those years ago?
48:18I mean, that's how strong I feel about the Patriots.
48:21God dang, they look good.
48:22I mean, this offense can do so many different things.
48:26They can throw it to the tight end.
48:28They can run it with different backs.
48:30They can get under the center, in the shotgun, no backs.
48:33They audible.
48:34It's a beautiful system that they're running.
48:37And defensively, they're playing shorthanded.
48:40But they're getting healthy.
48:42I think Milton Williams, Spillane, some of the guys they missed the last couple weeks,
48:48man, if they get these guys fresh, I love the Patriots in this game.
48:53I think they're going to win and cover.
48:56Yeah.
48:57I'm going to take them, too.
48:58Yeah, they're playing for the one seed.
49:00I know the Broncos have to lose, but they're still playing for something.
49:04Mm-hmm.
49:04Most definitely.
49:05I'll go with New England, too.
49:06I feel like Drake May is everything we thought Trevor Lawrence was going to be when coming
49:10out of college.
49:11One thing about Drake May is he gets better each and every game.
49:15And one thing I know about athletes is once that confidence starts to brewing, nothing
49:19can stop you.
49:20I think New England is one of those unstoppable forces.
49:23I'm going with New England on this one.
49:26Okay.
49:26So, the final week of the regular season, hot takes, man.
49:30Week 18.
49:31How hot are we going for this take?
49:32I'm just going to say this right now.
49:34The Bears will be playing in the divisional round so that they're going to win a playoff
49:37game.
49:37And Fred Smoot is going to look like a clown.
49:39He's going to say, oh, well, they're not going to win the divisional round.
49:43He's just going to keep moving those goalposts.
49:46Moving those goalposts.
49:47No, no, I am not.
49:49I'm going to give you my hot take.
49:52Listen, my family is in Chicago.
49:54I love Chicago.
49:55I love everything about Chicago.
49:57I have bit the knee in Chicago.
49:59But I'm going to tell you the truth.
50:01The truth is this.
50:02Y'all got two more weeks of fun.
50:04Two more weeks.
50:05Enjoy yourself.
50:06You've been saying that for a month and a half.
50:08No, what I'm saying is you will not be playing in the NFC Championship.
50:12Nothing will be coming through Chicago.
50:13He just moved the goalposts.
50:15He just moved them.
50:16No, get ready to watch the Chicago Bulls play basketball.
50:20Will the Bears win a playoff game, Fred?
50:23One.
50:23One game.
50:24Okay.
50:24One.
50:25One.
50:26Okay.
50:27One.
50:28And this all goes back to Jaden.
50:30Because if the Bears go to the NFC Championship game,
50:34the one thing that he has, he's not going to be able to say anymore.
50:37Can I ask you this, Big Cat?
50:40On the field, with Seattle Seahawks, do you pick the Chicago Bears?
50:45On the field, with the Los Angeles Rams, do you pick the Chicago Bears?
50:49On the field, with the 49ers, do you pick the Chicago Bears?
50:53They were one play away.
50:55We're talking about playoff, baby.
50:57We're talking about a whole other level of football, which your team hasn't seen in years.
51:02These teams have been in and out of the playoffs the last five years.
51:06They know the route.
51:07They know where they're going.
51:08They know the vision.
51:09You don't.
51:10Okay.
51:11Coach, I don't think you and I even need to be here.
51:13We could go get a glass of wine and let these two argue until next week about this.
51:17I had a couple quick hot takes.
51:19Do you mind if I give you two quickies?
51:21Yeah.
51:21The number one quick hot take is I don't know why the hell we have 17 games.
51:26I don't know why we're talking about football week 17.
51:30Half the players aren't even playing.
51:32Half of the games don't mean shit.
51:34With that being said, some of these games, just cancel them.
51:38If the Chargers don't want to play their guys, stay home, just cancel it.
51:42I mean, hell, the Cowboys, Giants, what the hell?
51:45Well, let's just cancel some of these week 17 games.
51:49But my real hot take is this.
51:51I'm going to be heading down to New Orleans.
51:55I'm going to sit right on Bourbon Street.
51:57The game's in Atlanta.
51:59The game's in Atlanta.
52:02I'm going to sit there with two beers in my hands.
52:06Two of them.
52:07And as soon as the Saints beat the Falcons,
52:11I'm going to drink them both at the same time and walk down Bourbon Street
52:15and get two more Bourbon Street beers.
52:16But Coach, it's in Atlanta.
52:18Let's drink them both.
52:18The game's in Atlanta.
52:21Coach, you've got to go to Atlanta.
52:23You've got to go to Georgia, dude.
52:25And we're going to get help from the Saints.
52:27And I'm going to drink all the beer in New Orleans.
52:30In the wrong city.
52:31That's so perfect.
52:32So you're not going to the game.
52:33You're not going to the game.
52:34I'm going to watch the game in New Orleans with my friends.
52:37All of my friends are in New Orleans.
52:39Don't you get it smooth?
52:41Your ex-wife's in Atlanta.
52:43You can have it, man.
52:47You've got to go to Bourbon Street and get the buy one, get three free drinks.
52:52I know a couple places that nobody knows on Bourbon Street.
52:58You know what?
52:59I bet I do.
53:00We'll talk about this off camera because I know all the secrets of Bourbon Street.
53:03But that's very funny.
53:04Okay, so the survivor pool picks, it's still Dan and Smoot.
53:08You guys are still alive.
53:09So, Fred, you can't take the Falcons, the Ravens, the Seahawks, the Dolphins,
53:14the Broncos, or the 49ers.
53:15Dan, you can't take the Bills, the Texans, the Bears, the Chargers, the Rams,
53:19or the Jags.
53:20Broncos.
53:22You such a hater.
53:25Low-hanging fruit.
53:26I'm not shocked that you stooped that low.
53:29You should have missed it.
53:29They're sitting all their starters in the Chargers.
53:31I'm taking the Broncos.
53:33I'm going to take the Seahawks.
53:36Can you take the Seahawks?
53:37You can't take the Seahawks.
53:37You can't take the Seahawks.
53:38I can't take the Seahawks.
53:40All right.
53:40I can't take the Seahawks.
53:41Take a game.
53:42You know you're going to win.
53:44I am.
53:44Give me a minute to think about this.
53:47You want your missed game?
53:48No, no, no.
53:49No, this is for Jerry.
53:50I'm going to take the Ravens over Pittsburgh.
53:53Okay, I like that.
53:55Okay.
53:56All right.
53:56So, we'll see.
53:57I know that, right, so Jerry does have the two wins already.
54:01He's not getting anything.
54:02He's not getting anything from us.
54:04And he's not here to defend himself.
54:06So, technically, he rules.
54:08All right.
54:08So, that's the final season of the regular season.
54:10We will be back for the playoffs.
54:12Anything else, guys?
54:14No.
54:15Can't wait.
54:15I cannot wait to see the tears come down Big Cat's face when the Chicago Bears let him down.
54:23We've seen this so much.
54:24We're talking about a team that's only won one championship.
54:28And the only reason they did that, because they had a man from Mississippi by the name of Walter Sweetness Payton.
54:33And that's over with.
54:34Keep, he's going to keep.
54:35He's an ultimate hitter.
54:37Yep.
54:37Yeah, well, we'll see what happens in 2026.
54:39Happy New Year, everybody.
54:40And we'll see you next week.
