00:05Police said around 9 a.m. the victim, Alistair George, 28, and two other men, Kendall Lewis, 45,
00:12and Sean Rajman, 69, were at Upper Serenal Road in Belmont when they were approached by a man who opened fire.
00:19George was struck multiple times to his chest and head and was killed on the spot.
00:24Lewis sustained a gunshot to his chest while Rajman was shot in the leg.
00:28Belmont Police responded and took the two wounded men to the Port of Spain General Hospital where they remain warded.
00:35Classes at the nearby school ended early to allow the students to leave the area safely.
00:41The Ministry of Education has confirmed that all students and staff of St. Francois Girls College
00:47are safe following the shooting incident a few streets away from the school.
00:51In response to the incident, the Ministry has mobilized its Student Support Services Division
00:55alongside the TDPS Community Police Unit and the Victim and Support Unit
01:00to provide counselling and psychosocial support to those affected.
01:07The Ministry has praised the swift response of the school's administration, staff, and law enforcement
01:13and says it will continue to work closely with police as investigations continue.
