The government is expecting the reopening of the UWI Debe Campus for the new academic year.

This after the educational facility, which Legal Affairs and Land Affairs Minister Saddam Hosein says was near completion, fell into a dilapidated state under the former PNM Administration.

Hosein states that the Facilities Condition Assessment, which commenced last year, was concluded and in December the government engaged the Palo Seco Agricultural Enterprises Limited.

It was for the purpose of undertaking the works needed on the campus which was catered for in the 2025-2026 Budget.
