00:26said the long-standing issue of Tobago's land titles was discussed.
00:31We feel very optimistic with the discussion with the Chief Secretary and the Technical Officers of the Tobago House of Assembly.
00:38This is actually one of those meetings that we believe that we'll get the issue of land in Tobago addressed for a very long time.
00:48We have discussed various issues regarding the process, public education and resources.
00:53We feel very hopeful, myself and the Chief, with respect to getting this done.
00:59Minister Hussein said filling the post of Assistant Registrar General in Tobago was also placed on the table.
01:06That position has been in fact vacant for some time.
01:10We have had discussions with the Registrar General's Department and very soon we will have someone filling a very senior position within that department
01:18in order again for service delivery to the good people of Tobago.
01:22We also have issues with respect to the Registrar General's Office that we have addressed.
01:27Several commendations came in because of the service delivery now, where persons can get 35 copies of these done within a day.
01:34You can register debts and births on the CAB and be issued with your birth certificates and birth certificates.
01:39According to the Office of the Chief Secretary, these talks represent a proactive step towards improved efficiency, stronger governance and better service for the people of Tobago.
