00:00The upcoming A Quiet Place prequel is arriving a bit later than expected.
00:06Paramount Pictures announced a number of dating decisions on Tuesday,
00:10including a new release date for John Krasinski's A Quiet Place Day 1.
00:15The film was scheduled to hit theaters on September 22, 2023.
00:19However, it's now set to drop March 8, 2024.
00:24The prequel follows A Quiet Place Part 2's release in May of 2021
00:28after being delayed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
00:32The movie is based off of an original idea from Krasinski.
00:35Also announced was If, directed by Krasinski and starring Ryan Reynolds,
00:40moving back six months to a May 24, 2024 opening.
00:44The formerly untitled film also stars Krasinski, Phoebe Waller-Bridge,
00:48Fiona Shaw, Alan S. Kim, and Steve Carell, among others.
00:53The film focuses on a man who can communicate with people's imaginary friends
00:57and prevents them from turning evil.
00:59Also part of the scheduling changes is The Tiger's Apprentice,
01:03which includes Henry Golding, Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, Michelle Yeoh,
01:07and Bowen Yang for its voice cast.
01:09The film is delaying its release by a month to January 19, 2024.
