00:00In the meantime, the eight overseas Filipino workers, or OFWs, who work at the plastic manufacturing company that was ravaged by fire in Namyangju, South Korea, are now in a safe condition.
00:13According to the Department of Migrant Workers, or DMW, our embassy and labor attaché there personally looked into the situation of our fellow Filipinos.
00:23They were also immediately provided with relief and financial assistance, as well as the facilitation of their passport applications after their passports were damaged in the fire.
00:34According to DMW Secretary Hans-Leo Kak-Dak, although they are now in a safe condition, their work is temporarily affected because the company's operations are currently suspended.
00:46The DMW also thanked the South Korean government for their immediate response and close monitoring of the situation.
