00:00Let's move over to your grade.
00:017, 1, 3, 5, 7, 2, 4, 6, 10.
00:03I see a lot of people seem to have one letter that they're giving with.
00:07And I think I have an idea of where you're going.
00:08But your thoughts of how you evaluate quarterbacks and what you look at.
00:13I'm guessing you're in an F range.
00:14I'm in an F range.
00:15Yeah, I'm guessing you're in an F range.
00:16I'm not in that range.
00:17I'm squarely.
00:18I'm zeroed in on it.
00:19I mean, it is bullseye right now.
00:21I've never been more confident.
00:23I mean, if we're honest, that's the only answer here.
00:26It was an F.
00:27You had four first-half interceptions.
00:30F.
00:30F.
00:31Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:32F feels strong.
00:33I see a couple of Zs and Ps for pathetic here on the text line.
00:37But what bothered you the most?
00:40Like, as somebody who obviously has the history at playing the position,
00:47what was it that you watched that bothered you the most about CJ
00:50and his effort yesterday?
00:52To me, I think it's because it's the moment in time when I firmly believe
00:57that he's not the guy and it's time to move on.
00:58Like, that for me is – because this isn't about turnovers, guys.
01:02This is about maturity.
01:08This isn't about installing an offense in the first year.
01:11This is about the inability to process and communicate.
01:13This is not about one problem in a vacuum.
01:19This is big picture.
01:20Like, I mean, sirens should be going off everywhere of, man.
01:26I mean, this is – this is – this is really, really bad.
01:35And the odds are it's not going to get much better.
01:38And even if it does, there's still a big moment problem.
01:41There's still a take control of the offense and take ownership in your role.
01:46There's still a problem with that.
01:47So, it's – I think for me, personally, it's just – it's the lowest grade CJ's ever got
01:53because of the box score, because of the performance.
01:55But for me, the reality, being a Texans fan, is this is the first time that I've thought,
01:59yeah, he's just not here.
02:02Yeah.
02:03When you – generally, when you potentially tear somebody's knee up on a – on a misfire
02:09that's wide open, now, fairly, I don't know if – I don't know if Cade Stover would have
02:16caught it because he dropped one earlier.
02:19He potentially on a – on a misfire, I probably can put you in the F range.
02:25That – that right there, that Cade Stover throw, you knew it was – it felt like it was
02:31going to be bad right off the – right off the – right off the jump, his first throw.
02:35The jock, too.
02:36Yeah, right off the jump.
02:37Young jock.
02:38It was – I mean, it was so – it was so off to Hutch.
02:42It was – it was like, whoa, what's going on?
02:44What's with the hands or whatever?
02:45But, yeah, it was a – it was a performance where nothing else was to be given than an F.
02:54And, like, that was it for me.
02:56It was just – he just – I mean, he was so off.
03:00Just so off.
03:01Like, throughout, he was high.
03:03Like, even the – even the pick off of Hutch's hands.
03:06And Hutch will tell you, I got two hands on it.
03:09I should have caught it.
03:10But even that one was – was not where it needed to be.
03:15Not where you would want it.
03:16As a quarterback, every one of those plays are completely inexcusable.
03:26As a quarterback, when you're throwing a slant, especially from a cut split, the one thing you cannot do, the one thing you cannot do is lead them uphill and throw the ball high.
03:40It's one thing you can't do.
03:42He did it.
03:42When you're throwing the ball to the flats, and he did it multiple times, the injury and the interception, you can't throw it behind them.
03:52You just can't do it, especially a ball placement specialist, right?
03:56When you're – when you're on a – into unblocked defenders, that defender was never going to be accounted for.
04:03The tight end was going to slip and go to the flats.
04:04That guy wasn't a surprise.
04:06You can't float into that guy.
04:08And just because the tight end slipped and fell does not mean that that's the next move, what he ended up doing.
04:16No, no.
04:17I mean, that's the more – like, to be straight up honest, like, that's the more, to me, concerning of, like, that's not – he's not even playing ball.
04:26Like, he's not – he's so shook that he's doing things that are super uncharacteristic for any NFL court.
04:37Like, it's rookie-type stuff.
04:39This will be deeper – I'm glad you brought that – said that word.
04:41This will be a deeper conversation we're going to have later on as the weeks – the days come.
04:46But, like, how do you – like, how do you get around what we saw when he first arrived here?
04:53Because all of those things that you've been saying about why you're out, that's just not something that we – I mean, we didn't see that.
04:59Like, two years – two football seasons ago, like, all of that he had in handle.
05:06And now, like, it is, like – I mean, in two seasons.
05:12Did he, though?
05:13Or was he in an offense that he had no control of?
05:17Was he a rookie so everything was kept simple stupid so you can – so he could handle it?
05:21Was he a first-year guy where nobody knew his tendencies and what he could and couldn't do?
05:28Were the expectations so low from a control of the offense that, you know, any positive was good?
05:35Was the organization so dysfunctional before that any level of – was going to be magnified times 10?
05:42Or was he – I mean, he was good.
05:43I'm not saying anything –
05:44I was going to say, man, like you said, man, it was convincing all of the things.
05:48Like, whether he didn't have control or not, man, he made – he made the opposite of what he's doing.
05:54We watched him go toe-to-toe.
05:55The more he's had to think, the more we've been led to think that he's got more control, the worse he is.
06:02The last two years he's taken a step back.
06:05But this is – this is a way – this is way back.
06:08Oh, yeah.
06:09Yeah, this is way, way back.
