00:00When the super-rich want to escape the rat race, there's a hidden world that only the top 1% can access.
00:10You do need the means for it.
00:13They can go up to 300,000 euros per week.
00:15Idyllic brakes located in the most breathtaking locations.
00:19Wow, what a view.
00:20Whether it's multi-million pound Caribbean estates.
00:23Wow.
00:24Oh my God, this is beautiful.
00:26With the services to match.
00:28We have Escalade's Don's East Speedboat, luxury catamarans, a shuttle by helicopter.
00:35If we don't have it, I will get it for you.
00:40Or going back to basics at a retreat so exclusive, it's invite only.
00:45What we give the customers is primitive luxury.
00:48These secret places are just for them.
00:51Very rare to have a prop to the private beach.
00:53I've never seen anyone do it quite as well as this.
00:55It's just magical.
00:58One of the most sought-after destinations for the ultimate dream escape is to the Caribbean.
01:15With its sun-soaked islands, crystal-clear turquoise sea, and miles of sandy beaches.
01:24Perhaps the most exclusive of these islands is St. Lucia.
01:27With its rugged rainforests and dramatic twin peaks, it's one of the most jaw-dropping.
01:35And at just 27 miles long, it's also one of the smallest, making it popular among the rich and famous, looking for a private escape.
01:46On St. Lucia's coastline sits La Belle Hélène, a private villa in a prime position for views out to the sea.
01:58The design draws on French colonial influences, reflecting the island's past while incorporating modern facilities.
02:07La Belle Hélène is the most luxurious and biggest villa in St. Lucia.
02:13It is a 12,000-square-foot estate, and you have seven bedrooms inside the main house and then three bungalows nearby the pool.
02:21It's in between two of the most majestic mountains in the Caribbean called the Pitons, and it's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
02:28The Pitons are St. Lucia's most prized landmarks, and part of what gives the property its value.
02:35To stay for a full week at La Belle Hélène, you're averaging around US$300,000 per week.
02:40To command that £220,000 price tag, it has recently undergone a £4 million renovation, adding a host of new facilities.
02:50From a pickleball court, basketball court, soccer field, it also has St. Lucia's deepest pool,
02:56as well as a floating jetty, so you can arrive not only by ground, but also by private catamaran as well.
03:10Arriving today are brothers Ben and James, whose family own this espounding property.
03:20So guys, that's La Belle Hélène there on the right.
03:24Yeah, literally bang between the Pitons.
03:25Wow, crazy.
03:26What have you?
03:27It looks so good.
03:28Yeah, wow.
03:29Really like it.
03:35The brothers have invited some friends to see the results of its recent refurbishment,
03:39and give it a test run before the property reopens for bookings.
03:45With the addition of the villa's new private dock, the site has already begun to attract high-profile visitors.
03:51Guys, do you see that white boy right there?
03:55Yeah.
03:56So that's private for the property, so we've had the likes of Bezos, I think Kim and Kanye a few years back before we renovated as well.
04:03Zuckerberg as well, right?
04:03Zuckerberg, yeah, all the big names sort of dock right here, and now they're going to have access to the jetty.
04:09Oh, wow.
04:10Oh, wow.
04:15And once those super yachts have docked, a team of chauffeurs are there to help them explore the island, led by Keith.
04:24We have an array of luxury vehicles, Escalade's, BMW X7s, X5s, sedans.
04:30We have Don Z speedboat, luxury catamarans.
04:35We do also work with our local helicopter provider to provide a shuttle by helicopter.
04:42If we don't have it, I will get it for you.
04:46Inside the villa, waiting for guests to arrive are a team of staff.
04:50You have your private butlers, we have a curated chef, the current executive chef, previously cooked for the royal family of Dubai, and it also comes from a seven-star Michelin background.
05:03I would like the one bouquet on the left and the other one on the right, please.
05:08We want them to feel welcome, we want them to feel relaxed, we want them to feel comfortable, and we want them to feel at home.
05:15Make sure it's centered.
05:17Perfect, thank you.
05:18That's our main goal here, when the guest comes in, they will feel like they're home away from home.
05:25The team are doing their final preparations to the property, ready to welcome Ben and James and their guests.
05:33Hello.
05:34Hello.
05:35How are you?
05:35Thank you very much.
05:37As the group step ashore, they're welcomed with Dom Perignon, priced at around 200 pounds a bottle, and chilled towels for the tropical heat.
05:46Cheers, everyone.
05:46Cheers.
05:46Yeah, I mean, the place just looks brand new.
05:54It looks amazing.
05:55Kind of half the time of our lives here.
05:59Just off from the main hallway are the living rooms and dining area.
06:03And hanging above the main stairwell is an 18th-century chandelier, valued at nearly a quarter of a million pounds.
06:11It's better than us.
06:13Every time I walk in, it gets better.
06:16It's like, wow.
06:17This is the first time Ben's girlfriend, Janine, has seen the villa since the refurb.
06:22Here we are.
06:24Here we are.
06:25Wow.
06:25Oh, my God.
06:26This is beautiful.
06:27Come together like crazy.
06:31The primary suite now has 16-foot vaulted ceilings, an 11,000-pound hand-knotted silk rug, and a king-sized bed with monogrammed linen.
06:41Look at the flowers, the paintings, the mirrors are up as well now.
06:46And should we look at the bathroom?
06:48Yeah, let's check it out.
06:49Look at that hair.
06:51Hey, look at that.
06:52Look at that.
06:53Wow.
06:53Wow.
06:54Oh, my God.
06:56It also includes its own private spa.
06:59I want to step into it.
07:01Do you think it's hot?
07:02You have to try.
07:03Yeah, I should, right?
07:04Yeah.
07:05The bathroom features restored gold-plated fixtures, with taps alone costing more than 7,000 pounds each.
07:12And you have a few as well.
07:15Look at that.
07:16It's just like, wow, you feel like a princess being in there.
07:21I just love it.
07:26The refurbishment may have impressed the guests, but even this island getaway might not be secluded enough for those seeking the luxury of total isolation.
07:355,000 miles away, in the frozen depths of the Arctic, hidden in the forests of Finnish Lapland.
07:50Lies a retreat so exclusive, guests have to be personally invited by the owner, but still must pay for the privilege.
08:02Here, the northern lights illuminate the skies.
08:14And the nearest settlement is over an hour away by snowmobile.
08:19Or three, if you travel by huskies.
08:24Octala is an exclusive lodge.
08:29It's design inspired by the architecture of the indigenous Sami people.
08:34And it's in these 700 hectares of private forest that guests can truly switch off.
08:44I use a metaphor.
08:46Doctal is like a super yacht, but sailing under the northern lights.
08:51You have the same comfort of luxury and still the same freedom with all the toys.
08:58To maintain the feeling of isolation, there are just 13 bedrooms across three lodges.
09:08Each with their own en suite.
09:12Staff remain on hand around the clock.
09:16I always try to fulfill their wishes and dreams and requests.
09:21It's quite common that they would like to have some very specific champagne.
09:25Yes, we can do that even if we don't have it in.
09:29We'll order it. No problem.
09:31Although prices are not listed, a stay here is rumoured to cost up to £100,000 a night.
09:38Anyone can come to Octala, but you do need the means for it.
09:44And it's not just about cost.
09:46Guests especially vetted before being allowed to stay,
09:49with the property's location kept a closely guarded secret,
09:53shared only with those who were chosen.
09:56Octala isn't on the map.
09:58We want to keep the Octala as exclusive as possible
10:02in order to be able to provide this transforming feeling for your body and mind.
10:09For many, the winter months are the main draw.
10:16But some ultra-wealthy visitors prefer to come in summer,
10:20when 24 hours of daylight provide space to explore this wilderness.
10:31Guests arriving today have travelled over 400 miles from their home in the south of Finland.
10:36Hello. Thank you so much.
10:40Nice to meet you.
10:41Nora and Henry are looking for the chance to reset at the retreat.
10:45Hello.
10:46Hello.
10:47Hello.
10:49Wow, what a view.
10:50Look at this.
10:51The couple are welcomed in a traditional way.
10:54Shoes are left at the door, replaced with handmade woolen socks.
10:58Thank you so much.
11:03Wow.
11:04Yeah, my God.
11:05Look at this.
11:06There's like nothing.
11:08Yeah.
11:09So quiet and peaceful.
11:11This is such an amazing place, the calmness.
11:15If I'm not talking, there's no sounds.
11:18There's like, there's no one.
11:20Only like the pure nature.
11:27Wow.
11:28Beautiful.
11:30Look at this.
11:34It's amazing.
11:37I just want to see my nervous system really calming down,
11:40and just enjoying the peace and the calmness.
11:49Recalibrating in nature is at the heart of what the lodge offers.
11:54And for those looking to balance luxury with conscience,
11:57it promotes itself as one of the world's few carbon negative retreats.
12:04We use a geothermal heating system.
12:06We have cleanest water possible coming from our natural springs.
12:11Our supermarket is our backyard.
12:14We get our fresh berries, mushrooms, fish, meat, everything.
12:20It's super organic, the food what we eat here.
12:26Turning those ingredients foraged from the surrounding forest
12:30into traditional local dishes is Hanna,
12:33a chef with over 30 years' experience.
12:37Guests that come here,
12:40they have seen all of those Michelin star restaurants.
12:44So they really want to try Finnish and Lapis dishes and our ingredients.
12:53So I'm making small appetizers for the guests.
12:57For the guests, this we call Skagen.
13:01Prawns, a little bit of lemon zest and onion and dill as well.
13:06So this is our caviar.
13:09Really, really good.
13:11Some ingredients are more unexpected than others.
13:13Oh, this is reindeer.
13:15Yeah.
13:16This is our speciality.
13:22Everything that they desire, I try to fulfill all of their dreams.
13:29That's my job.
13:31This evening, the new guests are sharing a communal meal,
13:35which nurtures the sense of family at the heart of Octola.
13:39And if you think of the wine instead of thinking of you,
13:44if it's not a selfish testing,
13:48that if you have in mind that sharing is adding more,
13:51well, it will be a success.
13:54French wine producer Fred is a returning guest.
14:01I came here first time last winter.
14:05I have experienced something unforgettable for the rest of my life.
14:12So the main course is whitefish from Lake Inari from up north,
14:17and it is served with celery puree, broccolini and burnt blank sauce.
14:22Enjoy.
14:29If you are lucky enough to be welcome,
14:32it's just like a family.
14:34Every experience you have here is a part of your legacy.
14:39So good, huh?
14:40Yes.
14:42Excellent.
14:53Located between the Pitons and Saint Lucia,
14:55La Belle Hélène with its private sea axis,
14:58newly installed £100,000 paddle ball court,
15:02and the Caribbean's longest and deepest private pool,
15:07offers guests willing to spend £220,000 per week
15:11a chance to escape their busy lives.
15:15But the owners who made their fortune in the insurance industry
15:19aren't stopping there.
15:23Ready?
15:24Let's go.
15:28This morning, brothers Ben and James,
15:31whose family own the property,
15:33are taking their friends to see their latest project.
15:35on recently acquired adjoining land stands Bow House,
15:45a decaying building with links to Saint Lucia's social history.
15:50Here we go, guys.
15:52We are here.
15:58All right, ready, guys?
16:00Come check it out.
16:01This is crazy.
16:05This is crazy.
16:07The property was originally built by the late Lord Glen Connor,
16:10a British peer, landowner and socialite,
16:13who was close friends with Princess Margaret
16:16and came from a family of industrialists and merchant traders.
16:20Yeah, so this is Lord Glen Connor's old estate.
16:21So where we're standing here is literally where his elephant Bupa used to roam.
16:26Yes, Bow House was also home to his pet elephant, Bupa.
16:31I think that was our first question, right?
16:33Can we get another one?
16:34Can we get an elephant?
16:35Sadly, the answer was no.
16:37That really added to the sort of charm and legacy of the whole building
16:38and the whole estate, really.
16:40Guys, if you look there as well, it's got the old logo of
16:42Lord Glen Connor as well.
16:44That's a bit of history right there.
16:45You've got to keep that.
16:46Yeah, I think we have to keep that.
16:48But Bow House wasn't just a place for Bupa to roam.
16:51Aside from being a bedroom for his elephant,
16:53he would use this as a sort of place to party.
16:55So he'd have Princess Margaret, all sorts of celebrities, royalty,
16:58out here every Wednesday and just have crazy island parties.
17:01So we should try on one of that as well and bring something back every Wednesday.
17:05Those parties may have to wait.
17:09Today, Bow House is in disrepair and the building must be stabilised.
17:14The family plan to spend three and a half million pounds on renovating the site
17:19as a restaurant and wellness retreat with 12 additional villas.
17:23Well, we were originally going to knock this down and just make it kind of modern,
17:27but then Ben and I were set on keeping it and just redoing it and renovating it.
17:31So it's obviously the floor plan and then you've got some AI images we've created.
17:36Wow.
17:38I think this one's my favourite, you know.
17:41Yeah.
17:43The bare bones are here. Everything is here.
17:46It's about adding that kind of modern luxury to it,
17:49while keeping the traditional kind of Taj Mahal style.
17:52Yeah, which is effectively what we think we've done with Le Bel Helene.
17:55We've kept that tradition and modernised it and we want to do the same here.
17:58So obviously you've got the beach bar vibe, which is going to be down there.
18:03The pool will be in front of the property.
18:05And then obviously up here will be the restaurant and the bar.
18:08The idea will be to connect the two properties together with an access road down the waterfront.
18:12And really the idea will be to give guests from the super yachts access to between the pitons.
18:17With these ambitious plans in place, the estate would eventually cover nine acres of prime land.
18:29Back at La Belle Helene, the visiting group celebrates with a traditional Saint Lucian party, complete with steel band and fire dancers.
18:38For the owners, it marks the beginning of the next chapter in the villa's story.
18:52I mean the reaction has just been incredible really. Couldn't have asked for more. The privacy, the intimacy is just, it really ties it all together and makes it such a special experience.
19:10I feel like you can really relax and feel very off. I think that makes it so much better than anywhere else.
19:19I was just so happy to see everyone's faces and the laughter and smiles and yeah, we had a really good time.
19:26The Caribbean's tropical shores might feel like the ultimate retreat, but for those seeking some sunshine closer to home, there is the Mediterranean.
19:44In the waters off the coast of Spain, there is an island that has built a reputation as much for its high-end villas as its nightlife.
19:56Ibiza. Ibiza oozes wealth and exclusivity with its super clubs, super yachts and super rich.
20:05It regularly entices celebrities looking for a sun-soaked escape.
20:13And with villas on the island worth upwards of £20 million, for those wealthy visitors willing to pay a premium for privacy and space.
20:21Alex and his property rental company, Black Book Ibiza, have got things covered.
20:30I'm the owner of Black Book Ibiza and we are a company that focuses on luxury and ultra-luxury real estate.
20:38Professional sports players, actors, famous designers, we often deal with that calibre of clientele.
20:43Today, CEO Alex has some of these high-profile guests arriving across the island.
20:50Most of my life is this basically, driving to villas for viewing, sales viewings, villa inspections, check-ins, check-outs, which I love.
20:59I mean, it's a beautiful thing about my job, driving on this incredible island, seeing incredible properties to make sure my clients have the best possible experiences.
21:06Those discerning guests are willing to pay top dollar for a week of exclusivity.
21:13At the very, very high end, a week in peak season, we can go up to as much as £300,000.
21:17And at that price point, you're obviously getting everything included.
21:20You're getting all your staff from private chef to butler to waiter to security to driver.
21:26We've got town villas, of course, but the bigger, more interesting villas are generally up on a mountain, tucked away in a forest, offering a bit more privacy to clients.
21:38One of the most exclusive escapes he offers is Villa Rica.
21:42Located in the hills above Cala Rondal Bay, on a 3,500 square foot plot, the property has been designed in the island's traditional white Ipichenko style, intended to maximise light and a sense of openness.
21:59Villa Rica is offered to clients for almost £42,000 a week.
22:14The villa includes five ensuite bedrooms and open plan living and dining spaces.
22:21Outside, the owners have invested in an infinity pool, positioned to blend with the sea views, as well as a fountain jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath.
22:37The rental price also covers a full team of staff, including a butler, chef, housekeeper, gardener and nighttime security.
22:46Today, Alex is checking on preparations before his latest guests arrive.
22:52We've got the welcome drinks and snacks out.
22:55Just going to start laying the tables for their arrival, making them feel really at home and welcome from the second they get through the door.
23:03Today's guests are here for a birthday celebration.
23:06And underneath the pool is the villa's underground nightclub.
23:10Offering an alternative to Ibiza's superclubs, it comes complete with porthole windows looking into the pool.
23:23So you can have guests diving and swimming and you can see everything that's going on underwater.
23:27It's a nice little addition that most villas don't actually offer.
23:29It also comes complete with Technics CDJ decks and a private DJ, of course.
23:36Okay, guys, it's all looking amazing.
23:41Client's due to be here in the next five, ten minutes.
23:44So let's get the champagne on the go.
23:46Let's get it ready.
23:47Thank you very much to work teams.
23:49With the space ready, Alex leaves before the party begins.
23:53He's discovered a new villa and is off to meet the owner in the hope that she will sign up to his books.
24:02While Ibiza's wealthy visitors might thrive on the island's electric energy and infamous nightlife,
24:10in the remote wilderness of Finland, guests are paying for a form of luxury with a slower pace.
24:16Total isolation.
24:18And as the long summer days extend into the evenings, there is a chance to try something very unique.
24:26Forest Yoga, led by instructor Sinni.
24:29Doing yoga is so special here because of the surroundings.
24:34It's just beautiful nature, it's pure nature, it's pure air as well to breathe.
24:39So as you start to inhale, lift your arms up.
24:46And with your exhale, bring them down.
24:49You can feel the warmth in the hands.
24:52Maybe one more time.
24:54Finland boasts some of the world's purest air, as officially recognised by the World Health Organisation.
25:01They just need to look at the scenery, take a few deep breaths, and you can already see the kind of weight coming off the shoulders.
25:10And yeah, it changes you.
25:12So inhale to lift up.
25:14Exhale to melt your arms all the way down.
25:18And due to Octola's remote location in the Arctic Circle, performing sun salutations in the summer months takes on a different meaning.
25:26Well, it's 10 o'clock at night right now and the sun is still pretty high.
25:31So one thing that we do offer that is unique and super special is the midnight sun yoga.
25:37Obviously you can't find that in many places in the world and it is truly magical.
25:43Thank you so much for practising with me today.
25:56The most luxurious escapes in the world cater to all needs.
26:05Whether it's renting a 10-bedroom estate on a tropical island or a luxury villa in the Mediterranean sun.
26:13But some want to escape the grid entirely and are willing to pay whatever it takes to do so.
26:20In the depths of Lapland, specially invited guests at the Octola retreat can pay up to £100,000 a night to switch off from their demanding lives and go back to basics by stepping into nature.
26:38All right.
26:39Ah, beautiful.
26:40Yeah, welcome to the pond.
26:42Today, head guide Santu has brought two guests, wine suppliers Arno and Fred, to one of the many private lakes.
26:50Well, the kind of people who come to Octola, they are rich with material possessions, but time is maybe not one of those things that they have a lot.
26:57I'm going to rig us up with some lures.
26:59And today it's sunny weather, so we want to be using bright coloured lures, I would say.
27:04To me, luxury is out here in the wild in the services that I provide for them.
27:11Do either of you have experience before in fishing with this kind of gear?
27:15Right hand goes here under, left hand goes on top.
27:18Swing your rod tip back, then you just release.
27:23For wealthy guests, the opportunity to enjoy life's simpler things is a price worth paying.
27:29And then, start retrieving.
27:31As studies show, engaging in blue space activities like fishing, lowers cortisol, reduces the heart rate and promotes a calmer mental state.
27:41Perfect test.
27:42And then, real fast, real fast.
27:44The clients and myself, we lead a very different life and something that gets them a little bit maybe out of their comfort zone and into mine.
27:51There, it's easy to make the connection.
27:54You feel so, so relaxed, so bonding with nature.
27:57You know, to bond with nature, to come back to your roots, but we don't really have time.
28:02So, for me, it's, you know, once a year.
28:05It's amazing.
28:06I love to do that.
28:07And to really escape the normality of everyday life.
28:10Come on baby.
28:11Guests have the rewarding experience of catching the dinner they'll eat later that day.
28:16Wait, wait, wait.
28:17Okay.
28:18Keep the line tight.
28:19Keep the line tight.
28:20Boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop.
28:22Easy, easy, easy.
28:23Down, down, down.
28:24Yes.
28:25There we go.
28:28Yeah.
28:29Yes man.
28:30Yes, that's cool.
28:31There we go.
28:32Just want to stay here as long as I can.
28:34Fishing, tracking, you know, enjoying life.
28:38Superb.
28:39All right.
28:41Thank you sirs.
28:42Very well done.
28:44Here, 94% of guests return.
28:47Many citing the benefits of stillness, clean air and routine stripped back to the basics.
28:57They're also given a window into the area's history.
29:00This afternoon, the guests are enjoying some local Sami culture, known as the Joik, traditional
29:13Finnish storytelling passed down through generations.
29:17The experiences that the guests are getting here, they are very Finnish.
29:28They're traditional.
29:33Outside, Santu uses the traditional Finnish method of lowi malohi to prepare the fish they caught earlier over open flames.
29:42What we give the customers here is primitive luxury.
29:46And with this I mean experiencing the things like our ancestors used to do thousands of years ago.
29:52My goal as a guide is to give the guests an experience that lasts in their memory for a lifetime.
30:13These kind of things get etched into the guests mind and they can look back at them and feel that connection.
30:23This is what we want to give here in Oktola.
30:26It's really good.
30:34Of course, no trip to Finland would be complete without experiencing its most famous tradition.
30:43Sauna, or sauna to be correct, is one of the most important aspects of Finnish culture.
30:48It's almost holy to us.
30:54Very nice after fishing.
30:56It's great, no?
30:58I love it.
30:59It's amazing.
31:00Yeah, it's great.
31:01It's a place of tranquility.
31:02It's a place of equality.
31:04Usually in Finland we go to sauna naked.
31:06Everybody is there equal.
31:08To experience the full benefit of the sauna, guests are invited to beat themselves with birch leaves to draw the blood closer to the surface.
31:21Very nice.
31:22Smells silver, don't?
31:23Yeah.
31:24Just need a beer and it will be perfect.
31:28Before plunging into icy water to cool down.
31:41That's so good!
31:43This transition from hot to cold has many health benefits.
31:47Fantastic!
31:48Including improved circulation and boosts to the immune system.
31:53The wilderness of Lapland may be the perfect antidote for those wanting to switch off.
32:06But not every escape requires a flight overseas.
32:13For some of Britain's wealthiest travellers, the most exclusive getaways can now be found closer to home.
32:19Cornwall, with its picturesque towns and harbours, open countryside and popular surf beaches, is one of the UK's best loved holiday destinations.
32:42But it's the secret, more secluded Cornish escape that offers incredible British luxury.
32:47Set on the cliffs above Lou Bay, a mire has views and beaches to rival the Caribbean, Mediterranean and even the Finnish wilderness.
32:59And with a summer time stay starting at £13,000 a week, it's only a select few who are willing to pay for that privilege.
33:07We have got many celebrity and high-profile guests who book on holiday with us, so just having the reassurance that they are going to have somewhere private to enjoy quality time with their family, with their loved ones, with their friends, is really key.
33:23The house is presented as a luxurious home away from home, and following a recent £200,000 refurbishment, provides a relaxed beach house style with high-end finishes.
33:36It's got gorgeous facilities at the property, gorgeous dining area outside, wood-fired pizza oven. In terms of the interiors of the property, it's all very open plan, very spacious.
33:49But it's not just the facilities that guests are paying for.
33:52The high-net-worth individuals come to us because they know we will provide them with that more-than experience. It's very much a concierge-type service, which is what we're all about.
34:02And the house has one other standout feature.
34:05Undoubtedly, every bit of feedback that we get will be referencing the views.
34:11From its location on the cliffs, the property has a panorama of the sea.
34:17And wherever guests are in the villa, there's no escaping it.
34:22One of the great things about the design of this kitchen is that you've got the hob with a view.
34:29So whoever's designated chef, if indeed you're not taking a private one, you have the ability to rustle up dinner for the family whilst admiring that setting.
34:40From here, you feel on the water, as opposed to next to the water, I would say.
34:46And just an amazing spot, really.
34:50And what I like about this space is it branches off into the bar, cinema room, cosy, snug.
34:55But this is definitely where most evenings will be spent.
35:00Just taking that in, really.
35:09Spread through the house are five bedrooms, which include en-suites with rainfall showers,
35:14and freestanding bathtubs costing upwards of £9,000.
35:21The primary bedroom opens onto a glass balcony and a hot tub, reportedly installed at a cost of £14,000.
35:30There are shared living areas for groups alongside tucked away corners, such as a study, complete with wood-burning log fire and telescope.
35:40Outside terraces, a fire pit and a purpose-built outdoor kitchen give multiple options for dining and entertaining.
35:56There's just so much space to make the most of what obviously is one of the main luxury features of the property.
36:08These little pathways wind right through the subtropical gardens down to the private beach.
36:12So, whether you want to wake up and have a swim or end the day with one, just the most idyllic way to do it.
36:21Very rare to have a property with a private beach.
36:25For some guests, that privacy is the key attraction.
36:28Today, Amanda and her daughter Grace are taking some time out of their busy lives to reconnect with some mother and daughter time.
36:46It's a break from reality and it's really nice just to spend time together.
36:51Yeah, escape from day-to-day life as well.
36:54Out of the ordinary.
36:55Yeah.
36:56It's lovely.
36:58Oh, look.
36:59Look at the hot tub.
37:01I know.
37:02Wow.
37:03Everywhere you go around the property, you get loads of different aspects of the coastline.
37:08It's, yeah, it's amazing.
37:11With the shore right on their doorstep, guests can partake in beach-based activities,
37:16including a foraging session with Emma, a professional forager whose clients include nearby restaurants.
37:23I'm an expert forager and I've been foraging for at least 20 years, if not more.
37:29Yeah, good nettle seeds.
37:31Along here?
37:32Yeah.
37:33Today, Emma is working with local chef Cam, who will use whatever they gather to prepare the family's evening meal.
37:39We've got some Alexanders here.
37:41Oh, nice.
37:42The coast is great for foraging, and Emma has expert knowledge of what is safe.
37:48So, this is Alexanders. It's in the carrot family.
37:51Yeah.
37:52And you can tell because it's got an umble.
37:54I think when it comes to foraging, there's such a sense of adventure and a real playfulness about it.
37:59I think it really takes you back to childhood.
38:01You can eat every bit of it.
38:02Right now, it's really woody, so it's just the seeds and you've got that lovely peppercorn flavour.
38:07Mm.
38:08But when it's younger, you can dig up the roots and eat them like parsnips.
38:12It's quite peppery, isn't it?
38:13Yeah, it is.
38:14Peppery, almost aniseedy a little bit.
38:15Yeah.
38:16I love seeing people's expressions when they pop something into their mouth for the first time and then see their eyes light up.
38:22And they're just so amazed at something that was so tiny has incredible flavour.
38:26There's some blackberries down here as well, look.
38:28Oh, lovely.
38:29Nice bit of fruit to add to some scallops.
38:32That sounds amazing.
38:33Yeah, it's delicious.
38:34Mm.
38:35With the tide out, a range of unexpected ingredients can be found on the beach.
38:40Oh, this is something you have to try.
38:43Including local Cornish seaweed.
38:46There's a good amount of pepperdulse here.
38:49This is Osmundia pinotifida.
38:51It is quite small at this time of the year, but you still get a load of flavour though that comes through.
38:58Mm.
39:00Truffly.
39:01We've got brilliant seaweeds here because we've got a really nice rocky shore.
39:05So tons of amazing flavours.
39:07Not all just salty.
39:08There's a real variety of flavours going on.
39:11This is called Polysiphonia lanosa.
39:14And this tastes amazing.
39:15So have a taste of that.
39:21Tastes like mussels.
39:22Yeah, it does.
39:23It's got such a good shellfish flavour.
39:24It has got very good shellfish flavour.
39:26With the ingredients carefully selected, Cam will curate a menu for the guests,
39:31which connects the location to the meal on their table.
39:34It doesn't get any fresher.
39:35We're picking it straight off the ground.
39:37We're taking it back to the property and we're turning it into a meal.
39:40Bye-bye.
39:41.
39:46For those seeking luxury under the Mediterranean sun, Ibiza, has long been the go-to destination.
40:04With a reputation for excess, whether it's in the clubs or the casas.
40:08With a range of over 500 properties across the island, owner and CEO Alex unlocks the
40:18most spectacular villas for a clientele who expect nothing less than perfection.
40:26When clients are spending 100,000 upwards they're really looking for lots of space,
40:31lots of privacy and just real attention to detail every turn.
40:37With a demand for well-being focus retreats increasing, Alex is off to visit a potential
40:42addition to the Black Book portfolio, Villa Glow.
40:53Spanning 10 acres, the villa is owned by a local artist who is aimed to balance modern
40:58amenities with natural surroundings.
41:00When we're looking for properties that really stand out and make us want to bring them on
41:05we want to have unique selling points, so we really need to seek out those ones that
41:09will match the high needs of our clients.
41:13Alex has brought Operations Director, Alina, along to meet the owner, Chiara.
41:18Hello.
41:19Look at this guy.
41:21Hello.
41:22Hi Chiara, how are you?
41:23Lovely to finally meet you.
41:25Thank you so much for inviting us to Villa.
41:28Chiara has been instrumental in the design of the property and its decor.
41:33So yeah, straight away, it's such a beautiful, unique feeling in here.
41:36We're already seeing the materials, the tones.
41:39Yes, look, this is clay and the rest of the walls are limestone.
41:43We try to keep it really simple, in fact.
41:46Yeah.
41:47Less is more.
41:48The property boasts many double bedrooms, each designed with its own character.
41:57So this bedroom's incredible.
41:59Nothing great, the green theme we've got throughout.
42:02For this bedroom, which is all grey and green.
42:05Chiara has also gone all out to balance creature comforts with the room's natural aesthetics.
42:11And we have the TVs behind mirrors.
42:13The TVs behind the mirrors?
42:14Yes.
42:15That's incredible, Chiara.
42:16Genius idea.
42:17Outside, the pool has been built as a natural swimming pond, in keeping with the setting.
42:24Through the plants, we take away the nutrients of the water so it doesn't become green.
42:32It's a challenge to keep it clean because there's no chemical at all.
42:37I've never seen anyone do it quite as well as this, Chiara.
42:39And it just flows so beautifully from this stepping stone to the long pool, which the
42:44sun's setting beautifully at the end there.
42:46Yeah, the light's just magical.
42:49As night falls, lighting positioned around the grounds makes it clear where Villa Glow got
42:55its name.
42:56Everywhere we turn, there's another light popping on and another beautiful space that's
42:59coming in view.
43:00Lights placed around the Villa illuminate its various outdoor spaces.
43:05For Alex, the visit is an opportunity to assess whether it meets the expectations of his high
43:11net worth clients.
43:12I mean, Alina, I think we can safely say we love the property.
43:17It's something that we don't have at any other of the houses in our portfolio.
43:21And I think it will resonate so beautifully with our clients.
43:25We'd love to work with you.
43:26We'd love to add your Villa to our portfolio if you're happy to work with us.
43:29Of course.
43:30Amazing.
43:31Thank you very much.
43:32We look forward to working with you and bringing lots of clients and bookings to you.
43:37Thank you, Alex.
43:38Guests wanting to escape to Ibiza now have an extra luxury villa to choose from.
43:49But 850 miles away, back on the Cornish coast, those looking for the convenience of a British
43:57homestay without compromising on luxury, can stay at a mire.
44:05For £13,000 a week in high season, guests have the luxury of sea views and private access to the beach.
44:19Which is where, earlier today, Cam sourced the ingredients he'll be using for this evening's
44:24home-grown Cornish meal.
44:26These are the Alexana seeds.
44:27We're going to crush them up just to bring out some more of that flavour.
44:30And we're then going to infuse them into some butter.
44:34And they are very peppery, sort of aniseed-y sort of flavour.
44:40I think it's really nice to sort of bring in flavours that they've never had before
44:43and really use the dynamics of the produce that surrounds the property they're staying in.
44:48So I'm basically going to shut the scallops. These are fresh off the boat.
44:51It's a very unique experience. We kind of work with the guests before they arrive
44:56and then we'll basically turn that into a meal in their properties overlooking the ocean
45:00where the food's been found or caught.
45:02The fresh Cornish scallops are cooked in the Alexander-infused butter, giving them a peppery taste,
45:15before being topped off with fresh blackberries and a few sprigs of freshly picked seaweed.
45:21Yum!
45:22For guests here, the draw is the emphasis on local sourcing and the expertise of the chef preparing it.
45:29Enjoy. Thank you.
45:30Lovely.
45:31That was very well. It looks delicious.
45:32Yeah, it looks fantastic.
45:34Amazing. Let me look.
45:41Mmm.
45:43Delicious.
45:44That's lovely. That's really, really nice.
45:47You can tell how fresh it is.
45:49I really, really enjoyed it. All of the flavours, especially the fact that it's local as well.
45:54Can't believe that everything we have eaten is on the doorstep. It's phenomenal.
46:03As the evening draws in, Amanda and Grace continue to bond and enjoy that rare and special quality time
46:10that they sought out on home shores.
46:13We'll see you next time.
46:14We'll see you next time.
46:15Bye.
46:16Bye.
46:17Bye.
46:18Bye.
46:19Bye.
46:20Bye.
46:21Bye.
46:22Bye.
46:43Bye.
46:44Bye.
