White House releases names of board members tasked with temporary governance of Gaza

The White House has released the names of some of members of various boards who will play a role in guiding Gaza through the next steps of the ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, brokered by Trump in October.

00:00The White House has released the names of some of the leaders who will play a role in overseeing the next steps in Gaza.
00:07Ali Shaath, a former Palestinian Authority official from the enclave, will run day-to-day affairs in Gaza in a technocratic committee.
00:15His committee will be under the oversight of a so-called Board of Peace, whose members have not yet been announced.
00:22The White House, however, announced members of an executive board, which it says will work to carry out the vision of the Board of Peace.
00:29Its members include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner,
00:37former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Apollo Global Management CEO Mark Rowan, World Bank President Ajay Banga,
00:46and Trump's Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel.
00:49Former Bulgarian politician and UN Mideast envoy Nikolai Mladenov will serve as the representative of that body.
00:56The White House also announced the Gaza Executive Board, in which Witkoff, Kushner, Blair, Rowan, and Mladenov will also sit in.
01:05The board will also expand to seat Turkish Foreign Minister Haqqan Fidan, Qatari diplomats, Egypt's intelligence chief,
