Gaza peace board to have heads from 'every major country'

US President Donald Trump said at a dinner for the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and other guests at the White House on Nov 18 that many heads of state from "every major country" will be on the Gaza Board of Peace.  Trump also hailed the progress made in the formation of the International Stabilisation Force since the signing of the peace document to cement ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in Gaza last month. 00:00U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday said many heads of state from every major country

00:08will be selected to sit on the Gaza Board of Peace.

00:12Briefing guests at a black-tie dinner at the White House, including the Crown Prince of

00:16Saudi Arabia, who is in the United States for an official visit, Trump said a lot of

00:21progress had been made since the signing of the peace document that cements the Gaza ceasefire

00:26between Hamas and Israel last month.

00:28A lot of progress has been made with respect to Gaza and just about everything else we

00:33touch.

00:34Just yesterday, the United Nations Security Council formally adopted my peace plan and officially

00:40endorsed the Board of Peace.

00:42This is a board like no other.

00:44It will have the heads of major countries.

00:47I think all of the major countries.

00:49I hope, Your Highness, will be on the board.

00:51You'll accept, I hope.

00:53But the Board of Peace will be something that's never even been thought of before.

00:56And it's covering Gaza, but it'll end up covering large portions of the world.

01:01And I was honored to be chosen the chair of that Board of Peace.

01:06It'll end up being quite a large board because it'll be the heads of every major country.

01:11And so many of the other things that happened to end the war in Gaza.

01:16Gaza, while it looks a little bit messy, it has for many, many years, I will tell you, many

01:22decades, but it's getting very close to being perfected.

01:27And people are shocked.

01:28And even the great experts that have gone around criticizing badly every country and

01:33every president and everything, they're all saying that what's taking place in the

01:37Middle East is a miracle.

01:38On Monday, the United Nations Security Council adopted the U.S.-drafted resolution, endorsing

01:45the Trump plan to end the war in Gaza and authorizing an international stabilization force

01:50for the Palestinian enclave.

01:53The force is formed to ensure the process of demilitarizing Gaza, disarming Hamas, and

01:59destroying military infrastructure.

02:01Trump said Hamas had done a lot of work since the truce by recovering the remains of the

02:06deceased hostages they seized in Israel during their October 7th attack in 2023.

02:12He said there are still two more bodies to be delivered back to families of the victims.

02:17We want peace for the Israelis.

02:18We want peace for the Palestinians.

02:20We want them to coexist peacefully in the region.

02:22During the bilateral meeting between Saudi Arabia and the U.S., the two leaders also spoke

02:28about Saudi's possible participation in the Abraham Accords to normalize relations with

02:33Israel.

02:33We want to be part of the Abraham Accords, but we want also to be sure that we secure

02:39a clear path of two-state solution.

02:43And today we have a healthy discussion with Mr. President that we're going to walk on that

02:46to be sure that we can prepare the right situation as soon as possible to have that.

02:51I think we're, you know, I don't want to use the word commitment, but we've had a very

02:55good talk on the Abraham Accords.

02:57We talked about one state, two states.

02:59You know, we talked about a lot of things in a short period of time.
