00:10Victoria Road applied to open 24 hours but the request was rejected at a
00:15licensing hearing. West Yorkshire Police and Leeds City Council said the area
00:20already suffers high levels of alcohol related crime, disorder and noise.
00:24Officials noted the premises sits within a cumulative impact area saturated
00:29with alcohol outlets. The operator said he wanted only a few extra hours and was
00:35not focused solely on alcohol sales. Councilors unanimously refused the
00:40license variation after considering all evidence presented locally.
