Police are giving a timely warning this summer holiday season of the consequences of drunk, disorderly and violent behaviour on aeroplanes. It comes as a Harrogate man was jailed after fighting on a plane as it was taxiing towards Leeds Bradford Airport runway.

00:18Nathan Cooper pleaded guilty to a fray and being drunk in an aircraft and was sentenced to 15
00:24months imprisonment. The incident took place on a flight to Chania in Crete in July last year.
00:30Cooper started fighting with another passenger and on police attendance the flight was still
00:35ongoing. During his arrest Cooper punched one officer and bit another. A mostly drunk bottle
00:41of vodka was found at his seat.
