00:00As bail hearing continues at the Sandigan Bayan for the 289.5 million road dyke project in Oriental Mindoro,
00:07the defense questioned the inspection that was conducted on the said project,
00:12claiming that the contractor, SunWest Incorporated, was not made aware.
00:17Two inspections were conducted, one in September, ordered by DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon,
00:23and a separate validation in December.
00:26DPWH Mimaropa OIC Regional Director Editha Babaran, who served as a witness,
00:33testified that a person claiming to be a representative of the contractor had introduced themselves to her.
00:39The hearing also noted that all flood control projects nationwide, including repair works,
00:44have been halted with the order of DPWH Secretary Dizon.
00:48Officials from DPWH Mimaropa, who are also co-accused with former ACO Bicol Representative Zaldico,
00:57were present at the proceedings.
01:00Meanwhile, another witness is expected to testify next Tuesday.
