00:00The Department of Public Works and Highways, DPWH,

00:04led the inspection of the Davao City Bypass Construction Project on January 27,

00:10together with several officials from the Embassy of Japan.

00:14With the DPWH,

00:16Japan Ambassador Kazuya Endo and Senior Undersecretary Emil Sadain of the DPWH,

00:24together with other officials from Japan and the DPWH,

00:29the project will improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion in Davao City and nearby areas.

00:38The project includes the 2.3-kilometer Road Mountain Tunnel,

00:43which will become the longest tunnel in the Philippines.

00:47The project is also supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, or JICA,

00:53and is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Build Better More Program.

00:59Once completed,

01:00the project will increase productivity and create new opportunities for tourism and business in Davao.
