00:00:00Oh, look at that!
00:00:02Oh, look at that!
00:00:03Absolutely phenomenal!
00:00:05Really awesome!
00:00:07Welcome to Match of the Dead.
00:00:30On the weekend, the nation remembers those who lost their lives while serving their country.
00:00:54Football paid its respects.
00:01:00.
00:01:05.
00:01:12.
00:01:22.
00:01:56Premier League games coming up on tonight's match of the day.
00:01:59Slightly later than usual, but Alan Shearer and Theo Walcott are well worth staying up for.
00:02:04Or so they say.
00:02:05Leaders Arsenal had won five in a row in the league, the last four without conceding.
00:02:10They've made the trip to Sunderland, who are unbeaten at home this season.
00:02:14Guy Mowbrie was at the Stadium of Light.
00:02:17It's the biggest test yet of Sunderland's so far sound Premier League credentials,
00:02:22as Arsenal come here seeking an 11-strength win across all competitions.
00:02:26A run they last managed seven years ago.
00:02:29Granit Xhaka was in that Arsenal team, but now leads Sunderland against his old club,
00:02:34fresh from scoring his first goal for his new team on Monday.
00:02:37And it's an unchanged line-up from the 1-1 draw with Everton.
00:02:41There's one change for the Arsenal side that won at Burnley a week ago,
00:02:44with Mikel Moreno deputising up front for the injured Victor Jokeres,
00:02:48having scored twice doing it, away to Slavia Prague on Tuesday.
00:02:52Martin Zubimendi missed that game through suspension, but he's back in today.
00:03:00Arsenal's first visit to Wearside for just over nine years.
00:03:05They won 4-1 last time.
00:03:07They haven't been beaten in any of their last five here.
00:03:10Marino went for it, Ballard went with him, and Marino has been hurt.
00:03:22There was a clash of heads there, and Greg Cawson, the ref, will have to stop the game.
00:03:27Another clash of heads, Ballard won it cleanly.
00:03:32His arm went into the right-hand side of Marino's cheek there.
00:03:37Nothing wrong with the challenge.
00:03:39The arm's got to go up for balance.
00:03:44Regis Labriz has called it pretty simply in his pre-match words,
00:03:49we have to do a masterclass, no choice.
00:03:52Reis.
00:03:59Ballard heads out.
00:04:00Lefeuille, time to bring it down, but he's given it away to Eza now.
00:04:03And Eza's cleared the crossbar.
00:04:07Sunderland can't give Arsenal presence.
00:04:10They will make the most of one before long.
00:04:13Left Siddiqui wrong-footed.
00:04:15I would think, given that opportunity again,
00:04:18Eza would opt for something a bit more powerful.
00:04:20Eza holds off Xhaka, but then Kuhn gets his foot to the ball.
00:04:28Timber against Lefeuille.
00:04:29Lefeuille on the floor.
00:04:31And Isidore trying to break round the back.
00:04:34Fire's wide, but it was a, well, if not a half chance,
00:04:38a third of a chance, perhaps.
00:04:42Isidore never really had the angle,
00:04:44but he certainly has the confidence.
00:04:48Timber.
00:04:49Zaka has started to get more and more involved.
00:04:56Eza takes a barge from Xhaka and complains about it,
00:05:00as did Arteta.
00:05:02And there'll be more complaining now,
00:05:03because the free-kick's gone against his team.
00:05:06Not only that, Zubi Mendy is the first player to get a booking.
00:05:09He came clattering into Isidore.
00:05:18Roofs to play it up towards Ballard.
00:05:23Ballard's there again.
00:05:25And Ballard shoots into the roof of the net.
00:05:31And he's got this pace jumping.
00:05:36Arsenal's conceded a goal for the first time in nine games.
00:05:39And it's one of their own who scored it.
00:05:44Dan Ballard started out as an Arsenal junior.
00:05:47Didn't make the breakthrough.
00:05:49He has here tonight.
00:05:50Sunderland one, Arsenal nil.
00:05:53Regis Lebris' game plan is working.
00:05:56Get into Arsenal faces.
00:05:58Rough them up a bit and upset them.
00:06:00They're really upset now.
00:06:03One thing for sure.
00:06:04This Arsenal team has steel and they won't lie down.
00:06:07Tross up.
00:06:14Saka's calling for it.
00:06:16Tross up's ignoring his captain.
00:06:20Zubi Mendy, he finds Saka.
00:06:22And Saka plays it across the face.
00:06:25But that was promising for Arsenal.
00:06:27It hasn't happened too often at all today.
00:06:31But on that occasion, they were playing it nicely through
00:06:34and finding the spaces in the penalty area.
00:06:37Lefe, Rice is on him.
00:06:43And Rice wins the ball.
00:06:45There's it.
00:06:46Mourinho, Tross up's arriving.
00:06:47Here's Saka, first on the scene.
00:06:49And Saka squeezes it in.
00:06:52Arsenal level.
00:06:55It's been coming since the start of the second half.
00:07:01Enzo Lefe, not the first to be guilty of dallying in possession
00:07:06in his own half.
00:07:08But he's the first to be made to pay for it.
00:07:10Great work by Declan Rice.
00:07:11We expect that from him.
00:07:13And we expect this from Bakayo Saka.
00:07:16Sunderland one, Arsenal one.
00:07:20Rice.
00:07:21Tross up.
00:07:28And Fiori trying to take Trey Hume away.
00:07:30Nice ball in for Zuby Mendy.
00:07:34Chance after Arsenal.
00:07:35Chance coming now.
00:07:36Through the legs of Bertrand Traore.
00:07:40Zuby Mendy perfectly aware of his whereabouts there.
00:07:43Knew he had to take it first time.
00:07:44Rice.
00:07:52Saka.
00:07:53Roofs punches but straight to Zuby Mendy.
00:07:56Here's Eze now.
00:08:00The bars only just stopped shaking from Zuby Mendy's effort.
00:08:04Not decisive, Robin Roofs.
00:08:06Really good effort from Zuby Mendy.
00:08:08Arsenal getting closer and closer all the time.
00:08:14Tross up.
00:08:20Space opens up for Tross up now.
00:08:23Oh, that is fantastic.
00:08:27What a goal by Leandro Tross up to give Arsenal the lead.
00:08:31Just managed to move the ball sufficiently far away from Noah Siddiqui to set himself up.
00:08:42But he still had an awful lot to do from that point.
00:08:45It has still got to be a perfect shot to get past Robin Roofs from that range.
00:08:51It is perfect.
00:08:53And it's Sunderland one, Arsenal two.
00:08:58Robbie.
00:09:00Calafiore.
00:09:01Had a fly kick at it.
00:09:02Missed it.
00:09:03Took Hume to the floor.
00:09:06And it gives Sunderland a free kick.
00:09:11It's Hume.
00:09:12It's a really good delivery.
00:09:15Oh, a dingrup.
00:09:17Gets the ball.
00:09:18Mukieli was in his way.
00:09:19A fraction of a second too long.
00:09:22And now it's out.
00:09:23Where's it going to be?
00:09:23It's Sunderland's throwing.
00:09:27Ballard.
00:09:27He didn't help it on.
00:09:28Oh, it nearly came to Robbie.
00:09:29It has now.
00:09:30Oh, and Raya's made the save.
00:09:32With assistance from Marino and now with assistance from the flag.
00:09:37It was actually helped on by William Saliba.
00:09:40Spooned by Raya who had a second grab at it.
00:09:43It looked at that point as though Robbie would score.
00:09:45But that's a really good save by Raya.
00:09:48Mukieli.
00:09:51Putting away to Rice.
00:09:52But it bounced off him to Xhaka.
00:09:54Hume.
00:09:55It's over Robbie.
00:09:56Arriving is Ranildo.
00:09:57And Raya gets to the ball just before Brian Proppi.
00:10:00Brilliant goalkeeping.
00:10:02I think that might have been given as a foul anyway.
00:10:06And it's Ranildo.
00:10:07Went hurtling into the back of William Saliba.
00:10:11Siddiqui.
00:10:14Siddiqui.
00:10:16Xhaka.
00:10:21Only about 15 players in between him and the goal.
00:10:23Hume.
00:10:27Valar trying to help it on to Robbie.
00:10:29And Robbie's hooked in home.
00:10:39His first Sunderland goal.
00:10:41And it looks as though it's rescued of a point against the Premier League leaders.
00:10:49Arsenal have issues with it.
00:10:52It will of course be checked.
00:10:54Didn't look as though there was a foul from Valar.
00:10:57Didn't look as though there was a foul from Broppi.
00:11:00It's a super finish from Brian Proppi.
00:11:05It's 2-2 at the Stadium of Light.
00:11:11That's an awkward cross.
00:11:20Marino's effort is smothered.
00:11:23Dan Ballard started the day.
00:11:25I think he might have just ended it.
00:11:27What a save this is.
00:11:29From the Sunderland centre-back.
00:11:32That sums him up.
00:11:33That sums them up.
00:11:36In any moment they just need a foul, a long throw, a direct ball.
00:11:39To create that chaos, you have to defend the action as well.
00:11:42We lose the timing of that and we can see the goal.
00:11:45Very disappointed because even at the end, in the last minute, we have again a massive chance with Ricky and Miguel to win it.
00:11:52It didn't mean to win, so we have to accept it.
00:11:56Difficult game, difficult environment to play.
00:11:59I feel like we've done extremely well, especially in the second half to come back and to put in the performance we've put in.
00:12:03But yeah, we've gone into the international break, top of the league, and we'll keep a bit of perspective.
00:12:09Did the block at the end mean as much, if not more, than the goal you scored?
00:12:13The stage of the game, I mean, if we conceded there, it would have been a huge blow.
00:12:17So it probably meant more in the end, but there's no feeling like scoring a goal.
00:12:22It was a tough game, as expected, because we knew before that we faced probably one of the best teams in Europe.
00:12:30I think now we have this faith, this belief that until the final whistle, anything is possible.
00:12:39And Sunderland have shown all season that anything is possible.
00:12:44They could have gone second if they'd won this game.
00:12:46They're unbeaten at home.
00:12:48What was so impressive about this performance against Arsenal, Alan?
00:12:51Well, particularly Dan Ballard.
00:12:53I think he epitomised everything that Sunderland have done so well, particularly at home this season,
00:12:58with his aggression, with him and his teammates stopping Arsenal playing, particularly in that first half.
00:13:05And they are really, really tough to play against.
00:13:08And there were so many examples of that today, with him and other players putting their body on the line,
00:13:15you know, for their team and for the atmosphere.
00:13:19And I said, he sort of summed everything up.
00:13:22We're going to talk about this after, but look how difficult it is to get through,
00:13:27how many players they've got behind the ball.
00:13:29And then I think that's really good defending.
00:13:31As I said, we'll talk more in a minute about that.
00:13:33But that is really, really tough, aggressive defending.
00:13:37And then he more than plays his part with this.
00:13:39I mean, he makes it difficult to clear.
00:13:41But have a look at the touch and the finish.
00:13:43Goodness me.
00:13:43Any forward would be proud of that finish.
00:13:47Then when they're piling the pressure on, he makes it really difficult there.
00:13:51The flick on in for Brian Brobby, who then finishes off with a great finish.
00:13:56But it starts with him being aggressive in the box and not letting the Arsenal players defend the way they want to.
00:14:01And then they get the reward.
00:14:03And then Arsenal come back at them and they're straight down the other end.
00:14:07And I said, putting your body on the line for your team.
00:14:09That's exactly what I mean.
00:14:12And that's why it means so much to him as the defender to stop in that.
00:14:17And you can see the reaction from all the fans from behind the goal.
00:14:22And Arsenal will not have many tougher games than that this season, I promise you.
00:14:26And you can see, he started his career at the Arsenal Academy.
00:14:30And what a performance.
00:14:31Him and Sunderland put in today.
00:14:32I thought they thoroughly deserved the point.
00:14:34Yeah, Dan Ballard, player of the match.
00:14:36But you mentioned that challenge on Mourinho.
00:14:39They looked at it, VAR looked at it and decided there was nothing to see there.
00:14:43What was your view on it, Theo?
00:14:46Well, my view, I look at it a little bit differently, to be honest.
00:14:48And it's not clear and obvious.
00:14:50However, it's early in the game.
00:14:52It's seven minutes in the game.
00:14:53And Don Ballard, of course, wants to put his mark on the game, should we just call it.
00:14:58And Mikel Arteta spoke about being disruptive.
00:15:01And he's definitely, from my opinion, right, he's disruptive.
00:15:03And there's a slight movement from the elbow to Mourinho's cheekbone.
00:15:08Me and Al, I definitely probably don't agree on it.
00:15:10However, I do feel like his elbow's in quite a high condition, should we just call it.
00:15:14And it was very disruptive.
00:15:15And it did set the balance.
00:15:16I think, as a defender, if he allows that forward to get across him, Mourinho, his manager, goes absolutely berserk at him.
00:15:24That's his space.
00:15:25And he cannot allow any forward to get across him.
00:15:28So he then settles himself.
00:15:30And then he goes for the header.
00:15:32He can't jump without doing that for a header.
00:15:34And I don't think there's anything deliberate there at all.
00:15:36I think it's more brilliant defending than anything else.
00:15:39And you would have done that if you were challenging for the ball as a striker.
00:15:41Well, I just wouldn't allow anyone to sort of get in me, or in and around me, or in front of me.
00:15:46And that's his job as a defender.
00:15:47He cannot allow the forward to get in front of him.
00:15:50And he didn't.
00:15:50Theo, as Alan was saying earlier, Sunderland's game plan worked perfectly, particularly in the first half.
00:15:56But what changed for us on the second half?
00:15:58What changed?
00:15:59Mikel Arteta got into the dressing room first of all, first before the players.
00:16:02And the intensity was the biggest challenge that they had to face, because they were up against a very tough Sunderland team who hadn't been beaten at home this year.
00:16:11And the numbers they committed forward as well at times, because Saka was finding it hard in the first half to get involved in the game.
00:16:17But this is what I'm talking about, the bravery of committing bodies forward.
00:16:20And Declan Rice always starts to press, and if you give Arsenal an opportunity, they're going to punish you.
00:16:26Simple as that.
00:16:27And you can't afford to do that, because Sunderland worked tremendously hard.
00:16:29You know, Al spoke a couple of weeks ago about the full-backs committing forward and putting in positions where you don't really expect.
00:16:36But this is what we're talking about, the difference, the bravery, the committing the bodies forward, like I said before.
00:16:39And this is where I felt at times, Arsenal were always going to cause problems and make chances out of nothing.
00:16:47I'd say a little bit of a snapshot here, but this was the danger.
00:16:50This is the warning signs that Sunderland had to be aware of.
00:16:52Zubermendi, I felt, was absolutely brilliant in the second half.
00:16:56Just a bit unlucky here, of course.
00:16:58But this is the luck that Arsenal probably get in this season, because they don't give up.
00:17:03They don't give you many opportunities.
00:17:04And Lionel Trossard, for me, is a player that is probably at times, you know, has been questioned.
00:17:11But you can just see here, Siddiqui points to Hulme to say, look, you take him.
00:17:16But I don't understand why you would then step and give that opportunity, that space to Trossard, particularly coming on the inside.
00:17:21And you can see how disappointed he is.
00:17:22It's a fantastic finish.
00:17:24Not taking a finish away.
00:17:25But look, Lionel Trossard has come up with very, very important goals right now for Arsenal Football Club.
00:17:29And I think it's a really good point in the end, to be honest.
00:17:32When I look at it, it's a balanced game.
00:17:33I think Sunderland probably deserves something out of the game, but Arsenal as well.
00:17:36Alan, they'll be looking at Manchester City-Liverpool tomorrow on Match of the Day.
00:17:40What difference does that Arsenal result make to that game?
00:17:43No, I agree with Theo.
00:17:45I think in the grand scheme of things, the way it was today and how tough it is for teams going to Sunderland,
00:17:51I think a point is a decent result.
00:17:53And they'll be hoping that those two draw tomorrow.
00:17:57Now, Manchester United are unbeaten in their last four in the Premier League.
00:18:01Ruben Amorim's joint best run since taking over.
00:18:04They travel to Spurs and Steve Wilson watched this one.
00:18:07Spurs in the top six of the Premier League, unbeaten in the Champions League, a trophy in the cabinet.
00:18:15And yet, and yet, home is where the hurt is for Tottenham, who've won just three of their last 19 league games here.
00:18:23Spurs fans are still buzzing about Nicky van der Benz's midweek wonder goal in Europe.
00:18:28He scored twice as many as Richarlison this season.
00:18:30No Europe for United, of course.
00:18:32They lost four times to Tottenham last term, including Europa League final.
00:18:37A start from Masraoui.
00:18:38Szefko drops to the bench.
00:18:42The Europa League final they served up in Bilbao was really a save-our-season match for both.
00:18:47But the manager who won it lost his job.
00:18:50The manager who lost it didn't.
00:18:53Richarlison took it away from his countrymen.
00:18:55Javi Simon skipping forward with real purpose here.
00:18:58That's unlucky.
00:18:59It's a slip, but it's taken up by Colomuani.
00:19:02Blocked by De Ligt.
00:19:04Casemiro.
00:19:06And Bruno Fernandes and United have a counter-attack here of some promise.
00:19:11Cunha getting through Romero.
00:19:16Taken up by Bruno Fernandes.
00:19:18And Bermot in behind Pedro Porro.
00:19:21Well, he had every right to think that somebody would be there, but they weren't.
00:19:24The flag has gone up anyway as it happens.
00:19:28Four forward for United.
00:19:29Spurs desperately trying to get bodies back.
00:19:31That is super close.
00:19:33If that ended up in the back of the net,
00:19:36it would have been a long old VAR check.
00:19:41Nice little dummy by Brian and Bermot.
00:19:46Bruno Fernandes in behind.
00:19:47Looking for Matthias Cunha.
00:19:49And Bermot heads for the area.
00:19:50Bruno Fernandes there too.
00:19:52And a momentary position of interest is not quite snuffed out.
00:19:56Cunha's back heel.
00:19:57Door goes across.
00:19:58And Bermot's header.
00:19:59Jed Spence with Amart.
00:20:02Masraoui.
00:20:06Amart's cross.
00:20:08And in!
00:20:08Brian and Bermot scores for Manchester United.
00:20:15Again, he is in a rich vein of form.
00:20:20Scored to downfield.
00:20:22Scored two at home to Brighton.
00:20:24And scores at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
00:20:27Brian and Bermot.
00:20:28And that is far too easy.
00:20:32And Bermot just standing there.
00:20:33And no one gets close.
00:20:35It's a very poor goal to concede.
00:20:38Manchester United won't care.
00:20:40And are in front.
00:20:41It looks like Tottenham have actually gone to a back three with Johnson as a right wing back and Spence as a left wing back.
00:20:53Johnson.
00:20:53Pedro Porro's ball in.
00:20:56It's a glance to Jalpa Linha.
00:20:58Never quite had it under control.
00:21:01Blocked by Masraoui.
00:21:03Spurs will have a throw in.
00:21:05Here's Jed Spence.
00:21:13Olderbet.
00:21:15That's a better ball in.
00:21:17It's a really good save by Lammans.
00:21:20It's Tottenham's first attempt on target in the game.
00:21:24And Christian Romero is denied.
00:21:27Good stop by Senna Lammans because it's a very close port as this.
00:21:33Simons.
00:21:38Mathias Cunha.
00:21:40Simons has won that well.
00:21:42He's being fouled by Mathias Cunha.
00:21:44It's a free kick.
00:21:45Must have been quite close to a yellow card that actually for Mathias Cunha.
00:21:49But I think he's got away with it.
00:21:55Pedro Porro for Spence.
00:21:58Looking for Romero in the crowd.
00:22:00It's Jalpa Linha.
00:22:01Lammans there again.
00:22:05Well, the early impressions of Senna Lammans in her Manchester United jersey have been pretty good.
00:22:10That's another smart save.
00:22:12Might have seen that late.
00:22:13It's going right through the legs of Harry Maguire.
00:22:18Xavi Simons is being withdrawn and that is not a popular decision with the Tottenham fans.
00:22:25Not at all.
00:22:27Mathias Tell comes on.
00:22:30Xavi Simons makes way.
00:22:33Bruno Fernandes.
00:22:34Odebeck.
00:22:39Odebeck.
00:22:46Udogi.
00:22:48And Tell let's in.
00:22:53Tottenham Hotspur a level with seven minutes to go.
00:22:57Mathias Tell with a goal for Spurs.
00:23:03I'm pretty certain there's a deflection on this which helped it pass Lammans.
00:23:09Tell with a neat turn.
00:23:11And it's flicked off the toe actually of De Ligt and into the roof of the net.
00:23:17The bit of luck that Tottenham badly required.
00:23:20And it's one all in a game which frankly neither side really deserves to win.
00:23:25Manchester United.
00:23:31And the image on Mason Mountie from Manchester United.
00:23:33And the little ball into Benjamin.
00:23:35Szaszko.
00:23:36And a great sliding.
00:23:38Van der Ven.
00:23:39Intervention.
00:23:40Keach Tottenham level.
00:23:43Szaszko is injured here.
00:23:45Well, this is what happened van de van brilliant
00:23:49They're not going to be able to replace it. They've made five substitutions Manchester United
00:23:54unless
00:23:56Cesko
00:23:58Can recover, but it doesn't look like they're going to take that risk
00:24:03He's not going to come back
00:24:06So it's one each Manchester United are a man short
00:24:11It's gonna be a minimum of six added minutes spence with the cross to lick behind Tottenham corner
00:24:26In goes the corner kick glanced away on the back
00:24:29And in off Richarlison's head
00:24:37That is some turnaround been almost no point
00:24:42in this game that you could have imagined Tottenham would win it
00:24:46But here we are in the 92nd minute and they're in front
00:24:51Richarlison with what is very likely to be the winning goal
00:24:56Well, Odderbert's effort is excellent and Richarlison, I think, meant it
00:25:02Tottenham 2
00:25:04Manchester United 1
00:25:07Well, their unbeaten sequence would seem to be coming to an end
00:25:12Verma
00:25:18It's deflected and Manchester United will have a corner
00:25:21And Lammans, the goalkeeper, is coming forward
00:25:29In goes the United corner kick
00:25:32And De Ligt puts it in the net
00:25:35It's two each
00:25:39Well, it's another terrible goal to concede from Tottenham's point of view
00:25:43But Manchester United have got themselves on level terms
00:25:47Mati Stiligt, goodness me
00:25:52Luke Shaw did a good job for him just blocking Bentancur
00:25:55Which meant that De Ligt from close quarters had no one in attendance
00:26:01And it's 2-2
00:26:04Amerim is prowling
00:26:07Manchester United's 10 men remember
00:26:09And that is the final whistle
00:26:13Almost impossibly high drama at the end
00:26:16Very low quality before it
00:26:18But it finishes two each
00:26:21I think if you look at the game it was there
00:26:24The three points was there to take
00:26:25And you can felt the environment
00:26:27We were comfortable in the game
00:26:29I think we can be
00:26:31So much better and to understand what's happening in the game
00:26:34But we fight in every adversity
00:26:37We lost Terry Maguire
00:26:38We lost Kazimir with Payne
00:26:41We lost Sesko
00:26:42We suffered two goals
00:26:43And we managed to draw the game
00:26:45And that is a good sign
00:26:46Of course
00:26:47Of course it's not that I'm going away from here
00:26:49And not be disappointed when you're leading 2-1 with one minute to go
00:26:54And you don't win
00:26:55That will always be the case
00:26:57To stay in the game
00:26:59Do the right thing
00:27:00Keep pushing
00:27:01Because in games like this where two teams are neutralising a little bit
00:27:06You don't create so much
00:27:08You know that's natural
00:27:10But how the boys kept fighting
00:27:12Kept doing the right thing
00:27:13I was thinking was hugely impressive
00:27:14I will stay positive
00:27:16Because the reaction in the second half was very very good
00:27:18We showed a great mentality
00:27:21So yeah I'm very happy to
00:27:22To score this goal and help my team
00:27:24And I think we need to stay positive on this game
00:27:28They did improve as the game went on Tottenham
00:27:30Did Thomas Frank get his substitutions right?
00:27:33Well I don't think the Tottenham fans felt he got the substitutions right
00:27:36When he made them to be honest
00:27:37But what he did do was
00:27:40He created a
00:27:41They were getting too predictable
00:27:42I felt Tottenham in the first half
00:27:44And you can see here
00:27:45First half compared to the second half
00:27:46Where all the players on the right hand side
00:27:48Were actually Manchester United were very strong
00:27:51And the big part for that was Odubar
00:27:53Odubar was
00:27:54Absolutely outstanding when he came on
00:27:55A player that
00:27:57Who has to be able to take risks and play with that freedom
00:27:59But and the energy
00:28:00And that's what you have to do as a substitution
00:28:02You need to be able to commit bodies
00:28:04But what I like about him
00:28:05He likes to put the ball in when you have space
00:28:07He likes to change his game
00:28:08And this is what I'm talking about
00:28:09Not being predictable
00:28:10When you give players
00:28:11Who are ball carriers in this amount of space
00:28:14Manchester United start dropping
00:28:15And Doggy was fantastic as well
00:28:17All three substitutes who came on
00:28:18Actually contributed
00:28:19And tell
00:28:21Just watch the finish
00:28:22The spin
00:28:23Gets a bit of luck with the deflection
00:28:24However it's the hard work that counts
00:28:27Odubar again outside on the
00:28:29Isolating Ahmad
00:28:32Who I felt defensively struggle
00:28:33When Maserari actually went off the field
00:28:36I felt Odubar probably got hit into the game a lot more
00:28:39And that created the corner
00:28:40And Odubar comes out
00:28:42Of course more space
00:28:43And just has to guide it in Richarlison
00:28:45But it's fantastic
00:28:45And it just shows
00:28:47Trust the manager's process
00:28:48I think that's one thing
00:28:49As fans when you watch games
00:28:51You're always frustrated in the moment
00:28:52However look
00:28:53They're there for a reason
00:28:54Thomas Frank's a good manager
00:28:56He knows exactly what he's doing
00:28:57And he's made the right decision there
00:28:58Having said that
00:28:59On the flip side
00:29:00Not all of Manchester United's substitutions
00:29:02Worked perfectly
00:29:03Certainly one in particular Alan
00:29:05Yeah
00:29:05Sheshko struggled again
00:29:06I mean he's only scored twice
00:29:08In his 12 appearances
00:29:11And he came on today
00:29:12With just over half an hour to go
00:29:14And had two really really good chances
00:29:16And should have scored to be honest
00:29:19They worked it really well
00:29:20Man United's
00:29:20For him to get in there
00:29:22With a one and two touch
00:29:23And that's a good ball in behind
00:29:25Now he's either got to get his shot away early
00:29:28Or he's got to push that ball forward quicker
00:29:30He's not going to get that amount of time
00:29:32In the Premier League to work it
00:29:34And try and get it back onto his right foot
00:29:36This one's the bigger puzzle for me
00:29:38I know he's struggling for confidence
00:29:40But any centre forward knows
00:29:43You cannot allow the forward
00:29:44The centre half to come back at you
00:29:47You've got to get across Van de Ven
00:29:49So if Van de Ven's going to tackle him
00:29:50He makes sure he fouls them
00:29:52And I just
00:29:54And you should also by that time
00:29:56Have a picture in your head
00:29:57Of where the keeper is
00:29:58And what you are wanting to do
00:30:00And I don't think he has a clue what he wants to do
00:30:03Because I don't think he even knows Van de Ven is there
00:30:06And chasing him
00:30:07So now he should be looking at the keeper
00:30:10Thinking what am I going to do
00:30:11Where am I going to go
00:30:12And he wants to work it again
00:30:14He's got to come across again
00:30:15He's trying to work it onto his right foot
00:30:17But as I said he has to get across
00:30:19Or take it onto his left foot to finish
00:30:21There's not once he knows that Van de Ven is actually tracking him
00:30:24And chasing him
00:30:26And preparing to put a tackle in
00:30:28He's got to get his shot away
00:30:29I know as I said he's struggling with confidence
00:30:32But it's a big must do better
00:30:34And no one likes to see him coming off injured
00:30:36And we hope his knee is okay
00:30:38But there are two chances that you'd expect at that level
00:30:42That someone has to put away
00:30:43Thomas Frank was saying
00:30:44Obviously you're going to be disappointed
00:30:46When you concede that late on in a game
00:30:48When you've been leading 2-1
00:30:50But their home record Tottenham is so poor
00:30:53And has been since before Thomas Frank as well
00:30:56When you look at the results
00:30:58Since the start of 2025
00:31:00They are bottom of that particular team
00:31:03Well I think what they have to get used to now
00:31:04Under Thomas Frank
00:31:05Is that teams are going to come to their stadium
00:31:08And they're going to sit and defend
00:31:10And then they've got to try and find and work their way out
00:31:12Whereas when Tottenham are going away from home
00:31:14Teams will attack them
00:31:15And that suits them better
00:31:16As for Manchester United
00:31:18Injuries are going to be a problem continuing for them
00:31:21And there were more in today's game Theo
00:31:23Yeah no of course
00:31:24But look the international break always comes at a good time
00:31:26For certain clubs but certainly right now
00:31:28It's coming at a good time for United
00:31:29Now last weekend's win against Newcastle
00:31:33Was West Ham's first since Nuno Espirito Santo took over
00:31:36And their first at home this season
00:31:38Burnley with the visitors this time
00:31:41Looking for back-to-back away wins
00:31:42Your commentator Jonathan Pearce
00:31:45Despite last weekend's win over Newcastle
00:31:49Once again West Ham fans have stayed to protest against the club hierarchy
00:31:53With a petition calling for David Sullivan and Karen Brady to step down
00:31:57Reportedly signed by more than 16,000
00:31:59And the West Ham fan advisory board
00:32:01Passing a vote of no confidence in the board
00:32:04There were definite signs of improvement last week
00:32:06For Nuno Espirito Santo's side
00:32:08They were looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since February
00:32:11And unsurprisingly they're unchanged
00:32:13Jared Bowen places 250th game for the club
00:32:16Burnley make one change from the home defeat by Arsenal
00:32:18And revert to a back four
00:32:20By bringing in Loom Chona and rotating Laurent to the bench
00:32:23And Burnley have won just two of the last 11 top right away games against West Ham
00:32:29So the Omens favour the home side
00:32:32But you never know with West Ham
00:32:35Walker
00:32:36Goes long
00:32:38Look for a Quilinchy Hartman
00:32:40It's a good ball in the middle
00:32:41Really well played that Burnley
00:32:43Just too far ahead of Jan Fleming
00:32:46From 15 yards inside their own half
00:32:49They were inside the West Ham six-yard box
00:32:52With two touches
00:32:53Scott Parker
00:32:56Five years as a player here
00:32:58Between his Newcastle and Tottenham days
00:33:00Won the Footballer of the Year award while he was here
00:33:03And the England Player of the Year award as well
00:33:04Had 129 games for West Ham
00:33:07Hartman
00:33:09Long up to Fleming who did well
00:33:16Chona
00:33:17Little Chukwu
00:33:20Nice cross in
00:33:22Lovely header
00:33:23Burnley are ahead
00:33:24West Ham have seven defenders
00:33:27Back in the box
00:33:28And yet it was far too easy for Jan Fleming to head home his fourth of the season
00:33:34Big question was Fleming onside
00:33:36As he heads back
00:33:38Chona
00:33:39Then rolls it wide to Uga Chukwu
00:33:42This is a measured lovely bending cross
00:33:44Straight onto his forehead
00:33:46Good centre forwards header
00:33:48They're checking though for offside
00:33:50And my first thoughts are he looked offside in the builder
00:33:53The goal is given
00:33:56Burnley are ahead
00:33:57West Ham's confidence very brittle
00:34:01Burnley have been the better side
00:34:04Bowen
00:34:06Bowen
00:34:06Tricking his way through
00:34:08And sneaking a shot at goal
00:34:10That nearly crept in
00:34:11Deflected wide from Jarrod Bowen
00:34:14Promising link up between Wilson and him
00:34:17For Burnley they hold on here until half time
00:34:20Oh there's a header on goal
00:34:23Think it was Kilman up from the back that was blocked
00:34:27And they're looking for back to back away wins of course
00:34:32Having triumphed at Wolves 3-2
00:34:34But they're under pressure here now
00:34:37Coming to the end of the first half
00:34:38Opportunity to get the cross in here now
00:34:41Through Jufe
00:34:42Right footed towards that back post area
00:34:43Pressure from Kilman
00:34:44Walker gets it away
00:34:46Walker was shouting at
00:34:52Florentino there
00:34:55Who allowed the cross to come in
00:34:56They want to take it very quickly
00:34:57Somerville
00:34:58It's in
00:34:59Wilson
00:35:00Burnley licked to a flag that hasn't come yet
00:35:05At West Ham at level
00:35:06And that is what he does
00:35:08He poaches goals
00:35:10Penalty box
00:35:12Predator
00:35:12Callum Wilson only a second since joining the club
00:35:15How many of his 143 club career goals has he snuffled up like that
00:35:22Gambling that the ball might come to it
00:35:24Cullen
00:35:27Point for Burnley
00:35:30We'll give them 11 from 11 games
00:35:32It's a really good return
00:35:33For a promoted side
00:35:35They want more though
00:35:36Juventus
00:35:37Juventus
00:35:38Anthony with the cross
00:35:40Looking for Fleming
00:35:40We've already seen what he can do in the air with his headed goal
00:35:44And he outlet the defence
00:35:47This time can't allow crosses to come in like this
00:35:50But only on the attack
00:35:53Looking here for Breuer
00:35:55He's there again
00:36:00Amando Breuer
00:36:01Into the penalty
00:36:01Strong
00:36:02So too though
00:36:03Was Juan Bissaka
00:36:04Anthony has stayed down for Burnley
00:36:09West Ham counter
00:36:15And here's Somerville
00:36:17Nice legend with the defender
00:36:19Glen for the near post angle
00:36:21This is an opportunity
00:36:23He chose the wrong option really I think
00:36:25Bowen wanted it in the middle
00:36:27That's
00:36:27Too tight an angle to beat the goalkeeper
00:36:30Fernandes
00:36:34And a good game for West Ham
00:36:36Purposeful
00:36:37Somerville
00:36:38In their brightest spot perhaps
00:36:41Fernandes into the middle
00:36:42Swatched away by Twanzaby
00:36:44For a corner
00:36:45The London Stadium roars
00:36:47The Burnley fans away to the right hand side
00:36:50Hope their team can cling on
00:36:53Somerville with the corner kick
00:36:58Comes out of Biketa
00:37:02Placed and it's in
00:37:03Socek
00:37:03West Ham had the lead
00:37:05Burnley stood
00:37:08Looked
00:37:09Lifted arms
00:37:09Looking for upside
00:37:11It's a similar goal to West Ham's first in many ways
00:37:1414 minutes to go
00:37:16A precious moment for West Ham
00:37:18The goalkeeper does not cover himself with distinction there
00:37:22Pushed out by Dubravka
00:37:24Straight onto the body of Socek
00:37:27The protests have gone on
00:37:29But on the pitch it smiles now
00:37:31Florentino
00:37:35Cullen doesn't deserve to be on the losing side
00:37:40Hannibal Mayberry
00:37:41Walker
00:37:47Low cross in
00:37:49Came off Areola
00:37:50Managed to block it
00:37:51It was very nearly forced in by Florentino's touch
00:37:56Areola spread himself well to make a really important save
00:38:01Lively ending to the game
00:38:04Fernandes
00:38:09Hungry for the ball
00:38:10Good sign that
00:38:11To Debo
00:38:13To Igor
00:38:14Socek
00:38:17Ron Bissaka's out wide
00:38:22Goes for goal
00:38:23Keeper spilt it
00:38:24It's in
00:38:25Bowen steps for it
00:38:27So too for West Ham United
00:38:30Did Carl Walker-Peters
00:38:32And he's celebrating
00:38:33As if he got the final touch
00:38:35And when the final whistle comes
00:38:37West Ham will have won it
00:38:38A third goal
00:38:40To put the game beyond Burnley
00:38:42And once again
00:38:44They'll have to look at the keeper
00:38:45Martin Dubravka
00:38:46Walker-Peters got there
00:38:51Just ahead of his team-mate
00:38:52Bowen
00:38:52To nudge home his first
00:38:54For the club
00:38:543-1
00:38:57For West Ham
00:38:58For the second week
00:39:00Running here
00:39:00Played out wide
00:39:08Need to get it into Broje in the box
00:39:12Surely
00:39:13Brun Larsson there
00:39:14Socek's gone down for West Ham
00:39:16Hobbling a little bit
00:39:18Hannibal's gone for goal
00:39:19Areola spilt it
00:39:20And it's forced in by Cullen
00:39:23And the former West Ham United youngster
00:39:26Has breathed new life into the game
00:39:28But I don't think they'll have enough time
00:39:30Well I don't think anyone can see
00:39:33A 3-2 score like
00:39:34Early on in the game
00:39:37That last glass
00:39:40Dramatic goal for Burnley
00:39:41Means nothing in the end
00:39:42For West Ham
00:39:43It's back-to-back wins
00:39:44For the first time since February
00:39:46All smiles now
00:39:47Have they turned the corner
00:39:49It was a big game
00:39:51We knew the magnitude of it
00:39:53And going behind wasn't ideal
00:39:54But we showed last week
00:39:55We got good character
00:39:56Once we have gone behind
00:39:57We started sticking together
00:39:59As a group more
00:40:00We know we have to dig in
00:40:02Work harder for each other
00:40:03And become a team
00:40:04And I feel like we've done that
00:40:05Last week
00:40:06And we've built on it again
00:40:06This week
00:40:07Unfortunately
00:40:08Again we react
00:40:09To the goal that we can see
00:40:10The reaction was good
00:40:12But this is not
00:40:13The way that we wanted
00:40:14But again
00:40:15I think we prove
00:40:16That we want to change things
00:40:17We want to be strong characters
00:40:20In the pitch
00:40:21And the boys
00:40:21I think slowly
00:40:22Are giving these small steps
00:40:24Towards what I think
00:40:25Should be a team
00:40:27Do you blame individuals?
00:40:29The goalkeeper is obviously
00:40:29Going to come under scrutiny
00:40:30Or do you just take it as a team?
00:40:32Well definitely
00:40:33There's individuals
00:40:33Keeper definitely not
00:40:34But there's definitely individuals
00:40:36And I think as a group as well
00:40:37In terms of when we score the goal
00:40:38There's definitely areas
00:40:40Where we just
00:40:41We turn the game into
00:40:42Exactly what West Ham
00:40:43Want it to be
00:40:43They want it to be end-to-end
00:40:45They want it to be a basketball match
00:40:46And we turn it into that
00:40:47When for 30 odd minutes
00:40:49We've just literally
00:40:49Controlled every bit of them
00:40:51Nunnified them in every way
00:40:52And got our nose in front
00:40:53And we fell away from that
00:40:55Now that's
00:40:55Players on the pitch
00:40:57And understanding that
00:40:58Which we need to improve
00:40:59That wasn't pretty today
00:41:00By any means
00:41:01But it's something to go for
00:41:02Tell you what
00:41:03It wasn't pretty
00:41:03I tried the Sochek goal celebration
00:41:05Last Friday night
00:41:06Coming up at the pub
00:41:07At 11 o'clock
00:41:08It ended very ugly
00:41:09I can tell you
00:41:10Don't try it
00:41:11Nah I have my own
00:41:12But yeah
00:41:13If he keeps coming on
00:41:14Knicking goals like that
00:41:15For us
00:41:16It's a massive help
00:41:16And if you're watching
00:41:19Having been at the pub
00:41:20Please don't try that celebration
00:41:21At home
00:41:22We need to say that
00:41:23Just to make sure
00:41:24Everybody stays safe
00:41:25Look it was a game
00:41:26That took a little while
00:41:27To catch fire
00:41:28And struggled to
00:41:29At times
00:41:30Alan
00:41:30Apart from one player
00:41:32In particular
00:41:33Mateus Fernandes
00:41:34Yeah I thought he was
00:41:35Outstanding
00:41:36And the stats will
00:41:37Tell you
00:41:38He was without doubt
00:41:39I thought the best player
00:41:40On the park
00:41:40You're right
00:41:42The standard
00:41:43Wasn't great
00:41:44At times today
00:41:44But he was the standout
00:41:46For the vast majority
00:41:47Of the game
00:41:47He was the one
00:41:48That was at least
00:41:50Trying to drive
00:41:50His team forward
00:41:51Whatever he did
00:41:52I thought he did
00:41:53Very well
00:41:53Whether that was
00:41:54Attack and
00:41:54Playing balls in behind
00:41:55Doing his bit
00:41:57Defensively
00:41:57Which of course
00:41:58He has to do
00:41:59I thought he did that
00:42:00Really really well
00:42:01And I thought he set
00:42:02A great example
00:42:03Of what the West Ham
00:42:05Fans want
00:42:06Did really well
00:42:07In forward positions
00:42:09Where that was
00:42:09Little give
00:42:10Go
00:42:10Little balls
00:42:11Around the corner
00:42:12This one here
00:42:12When he just gives
00:42:13And then follows
00:42:14The pass in behind
00:42:15And it's not a bad
00:42:16Ball in either
00:42:18So yeah
00:42:18He was the excellent
00:42:20Player
00:42:20But then
00:42:20They didn't really
00:42:22Have that much
00:42:22Of a threat
00:42:23But I thought
00:42:24Suchek
00:42:24When he came on
00:42:25It was better
00:42:27Because it gives them
00:42:29Something different
00:42:30It gives them a threat
00:42:31In that box
00:42:32When balls are coming in
00:42:33Alright
00:42:34They got a little bit
00:42:35Of a warning here
00:42:36Fernandes again
00:42:37Driving forward
00:42:38Nothing comes of it
00:42:41Other than
00:42:41I say
00:42:42A corner
00:42:42And that's what
00:42:43Exactly what they want
00:42:44And they actually
00:42:44Score from the corner
00:42:46But it's him again
00:42:47That's driving his team
00:42:48Forward
00:42:48I mean
00:42:49Dubravka won't want
00:42:51To watch this again
00:42:52Because it's an absolute
00:42:53Howler from him
00:42:54But
00:42:54They didn't really
00:42:55Have that threat
00:42:56You know
00:42:56With Callum Wilson
00:42:58I know
00:42:58But Suchek
00:42:59Certainly changed that
00:43:00There
00:43:00Ball goes into him
00:43:01Gets his goal
00:43:02Gets the
00:43:03Assist as well
00:43:04With that much space
00:43:05To run into
00:43:06I don't care who you are
00:43:07You're going to put
00:43:08The team under pressure
00:43:08And that's what happened
00:43:09And then
00:43:09Walker Peters
00:43:11And Bowen
00:43:11Fighting over the board
00:43:12Doesn't matter who
00:43:13Puts it in
00:43:14It's just
00:43:15Someone has to
00:43:16And Walker Peters
00:43:17Did that
00:43:17And that is a huge win
00:43:19For West Ham
00:43:20Back to back wins
00:43:20You can see what it means
00:43:21To Nuno
00:43:22The club say about
00:43:23Two to three thousand
00:43:23Fans were protesting
00:43:24Before the game
00:43:25About the board
00:43:26In terms of what's
00:43:28Happening on the pitch
00:43:29Nuno said
00:43:30Small steps
00:43:31Can you start to see
00:43:32The progress
00:43:33I mean they've come
00:43:33From behind to win
00:43:34Two weeks running now
00:43:35Yeah that's right
00:43:36I think that would be
00:43:36The real positive
00:43:37Going one nil behind
00:43:39Last week to Newcastle
00:43:40Coming back
00:43:41Getting the points
00:43:41Doing exactly the same
00:43:42Thing today
00:43:43So I think in terms of
00:43:44He thinks
00:43:45At least I've got a squad
00:43:46That's reacting to me
00:43:47Wants to work for me
00:43:48And fight for me
00:43:49So they've shown their attitude
00:43:50But I certainly understand
00:43:52Their fans
00:43:52And they're doing
00:43:54The protests
00:43:55Absolutely
00:43:55Because at times
00:43:56West Ham haven't been good enough
00:43:57It's been a while
00:43:58Now there are five games
00:44:00In a bumper
00:44:01Sunday match of the day
00:44:03He finishes yet another
00:44:07It secures the points
00:44:09For the champions
00:44:10Villa's swinging to the lead
00:44:13That was very sweet indeed
00:44:16It's a chance
00:44:17Oh
00:44:18Oh that's brilliant
00:44:21That was pinpoint stuff
00:44:23That is a bangin'
00:44:27You won't see a better header
00:44:29This weekend
00:44:30Fabulous strike from Welbeck
00:44:33And you can follow
00:44:38All those games
00:44:39On 5 Live
00:44:40And BBC Sounds

00:45:04The goals from
00:45:04Every Premier League match
00:45:06Everton and Fulham
00:45:09Were separated
00:45:10By just a single point
00:45:11Coming into their game
00:45:12With both sides
00:45:13Struggling to score
00:45:14This season
00:45:14Commentary comes
00:45:15From Connor McNamara
00:45:17This is the first home game
00:45:21Here since Everton
00:45:22Everton lost at their new stadium
00:45:23For the very first time
00:45:25Against Spurs
00:45:26Two weeks ago
00:45:27You have to go back
00:45:28To 2011
00:45:29For the last time
00:45:30Everton lost
00:45:31Back-to-back home games
00:45:33Under David Moyes
00:45:34There is one change
00:45:36There is one change
00:45:36From the draw
00:45:37At Sunderland
00:45:37Last time out
00:45:38Tim Iribunum
00:45:40Comes into the midfield
00:45:41James Garner
00:45:42Moves back to right-back
00:45:43And Jake O'Brien
00:45:45Who had started
00:45:45Every Premier League game
00:45:47This season before today
00:45:48Drops to the bench
00:45:49Fulham also make
00:45:51One change
00:45:51From their much-needed
00:45:52Win against Wolves
00:45:53Last weekend
00:45:54Sasha Lukic
00:45:55Comes in to replace
00:45:56Josh King
00:45:57Alex Iwobi
00:45:58Starts against
00:45:59His old club
00:45:59Iwobi scored
00:46:01Against Everton
00:46:02In this game
00:46:03Last season
00:46:03Last time Everton
00:46:06Beat Fulham
00:46:07In a Premier League
00:46:08Home game
00:46:08Marco Silva
00:46:09Was the Everton
00:46:10Manager
00:46:10That was all the way
00:46:11Back in 2018
00:46:12Barry
00:46:13Nicely done
00:46:15Chessing it down
00:46:16For Dewsbury Hall
00:46:17Sasha Lukic
00:46:18Leaves in
00:46:18And gives away
00:46:19The free kick
00:46:20And Sasha Lukic
00:46:22Who has committed
00:46:23More fouls this season
00:46:24Than any other player
00:46:26In the Premier League
00:46:26And he picks up
00:46:28An early yellow card
00:46:29Here today
00:46:30Body language
00:46:31Would suggest
00:46:32James Garner
00:46:32Might even fancy this
00:46:33Oh he does
00:46:34And it was on target too
00:46:36Best save
00:46:38In the early stages
00:46:38For Bert Leno
00:46:39Tell you what
00:46:41That's really well struck
00:46:42Isn't it
00:46:42Moving away
00:46:43From the goalkeeper
00:46:44Too hot for Bert Leno
00:46:45To handle
00:46:46Once a blue
00:46:48Always a blue
00:46:49Wayne Rooney
00:46:51Sitting
00:46:52Behind Peter Reid
00:46:54He's got very impressive headwear
00:46:57Michael Keane beaten by Raul Jimenez
00:47:03This is Alex Iwobi
00:47:04Jimenez
00:47:05Shot on target
00:47:06But comfortable for Pickford
00:47:08Some distribution by Jordan Pickford
00:47:14The pick out Jack Grealish
00:47:15Against Kenny Tete
00:47:19Finds Junesbury Hall
00:47:23Picking by Andy Segei
00:47:27And it must be
00:47:28Tino Barry
00:47:29But the flag is up
00:47:30Everton are offside
00:47:32Really nice build up
00:47:35You have to say
00:47:35Ujai
00:47:37Who was in front of
00:47:39Bassey
00:47:39As the pass was played in
00:47:40The on-field call
00:47:42Is confirmed
00:47:43Everton were offside
00:47:45Jeansbury Hall
00:47:49And the foul
00:47:53For Cesar Lukic
00:47:54Who's already on the yellow card
00:47:56From Ember
00:47:57And the
00:47:58Everton fans are
00:47:59Doing their best
00:48:00To remind referee
00:48:02Andy Madley
00:48:02Of that fact
00:48:03Cesar Lukic
00:48:04Fortunate
00:48:05Not to have seen a
00:48:07Second yellow there
00:48:08Simply on the tightrope now
00:48:10This is Grealish
00:48:12Sells the dummy to Wilson
00:48:16Now he delivers
00:48:17Just too high for Tarkovsky
00:48:20In jive
00:48:21Garner
00:48:22Michael Keane
00:48:24Saved by Leno
00:48:26Tarkovsky
00:48:26But the flag is up again
00:48:29For the second time
00:48:31In this first half
00:48:32An Everton goal
00:48:34Is ruled out
00:48:35For offside
00:48:36James Tarkovsky
00:48:39Who initially
00:48:40Was in an offside position
00:48:41There as Grealish
00:48:42Sent it in
00:48:43And the same player
00:48:45Was to
00:48:46Kick the ball
00:48:47Into the back of the net
00:48:48But
00:48:48The assistant
00:48:50Pinging the offside
00:48:51For the earlier
00:48:52Encroachment
00:48:53Behind the Fulham defence
00:48:55Grealish
00:48:56Blocked
00:48:59By Wilson
00:49:00Irobutam though
00:49:02Is kept it alive
00:49:03For Everton
00:49:04This is Mikelenko
00:49:05Leno backpedalling
00:49:06And it's Tarkovsky
00:49:08And Irobutam
00:49:09Couldn't follow up
00:49:10But Idrissa Gay does
00:49:12And after two goals
00:49:15Disallowed in this first half
00:49:17Everton
00:49:18Finally take the lead
00:49:20It's stoppage time
00:49:22Ahead of the break
00:49:23It's his second
00:49:25Premier League goal of the season
00:49:27Scored in the Merseyside derby
00:49:29In September
00:49:29As persistence
00:49:31Pays here for Everton
00:49:33They kept plucking away
00:49:34Tarkovsky
00:49:35Off the crossbar
00:49:36Irobutam misfiring
00:49:37But it was sure
00:49:39And it was true
00:49:40From Idrissa Gay
00:49:42Everton 1
00:49:44Fulham 0
00:49:45Bassey
00:49:48Picks out
00:49:50Josh King
00:49:51Wilson
00:49:55Looking for the angle
00:49:58Harry Wilson
00:49:59Oh it takes a deflection
00:50:00And it was looping over
00:50:01Pickford
00:50:02And that's one of the more
00:50:03Nervous moments
00:50:04For the England
00:50:05International keeper
00:50:06Today
00:50:07Early stages of the
00:50:09Second half
00:50:09Fulham have come out
00:50:10In a much more
00:50:11Determined mood
00:50:12It would seem
00:50:12Mikhelenko
00:50:17Injai's at the back
00:50:19Post
00:50:20Dewsbury
00:50:22Oh
00:50:22Everton get their
00:50:24Second
00:50:24But the flag is up
00:50:25Again
00:50:26For the third
00:50:28Time today
00:50:29And Everton goal
00:50:30Gets disallowed
00:50:32Nick Hopton
00:50:34The assistant
00:50:34Seem to be
00:50:35Mouthing the word
00:50:36Barry there
00:50:37As Injai
00:50:39Trying to pull it
00:50:40Back here
00:50:41At this moment
00:50:41There
00:50:42Tino Barry
00:50:43Is offside
00:50:44Of the ball
00:50:44Played towards him
00:50:45He's certainly
00:50:45In an active position
00:50:46Challenging for the ball
00:50:47Marcus Silva
00:50:50Made one
00:50:50Substitution
00:50:51At half time
00:50:52No further
00:50:53Two
00:50:54But his
00:50:54Team are not
00:50:55Firing all cylinders
00:50:56Today
00:50:57King
00:51:00Bernice
00:51:03First chance
00:51:03For him
00:51:04Since coming on
00:51:05Good save
00:51:05From Pickford
00:51:06That's exactly
00:51:09The sort of impact
00:51:10That Marcus Silva
00:51:11Was hoping for
00:51:12Bringing on
00:51:12Rodrigo Bernice
00:51:13Immediately played
00:51:15Into a shooting
00:51:16Position
00:51:16Good stop
00:51:18From Pickford
00:51:19Good reaction
00:51:20First chance
00:51:26From Beto
00:51:26Since coming on
00:51:27Bassey in hot pursuit
00:51:29Rule
00:51:32Well blocked
00:51:33Well blocked again by
00:51:36Sessio
00:51:36Appealing with the last
00:51:38Touch came off
00:51:39Merlin Road
00:51:39The on-field decision
00:51:41Here is corner
00:51:42Fulham
00:51:44Conceded a late
00:51:4590th minute winning goal
00:51:47When they lost to Newcastle
00:51:47When they lost to Newcastle
00:51:48The most recent
00:51:49The most recent
00:51:49Premier League away game
00:51:50Michael
00:51:51Southerby hoping
00:51:52They don't concede
00:51:53Late here
00:51:53Keenan
00:51:54Dewsbury Hall
00:51:55Sends it in
00:51:55Michael Keane
00:51:56And it's in
00:51:57That's the second goal
00:52:00That Everton
00:52:02That Everton
00:52:02So desperately craved
00:52:03And after three
00:52:07Disallowed goals
00:52:08Today
00:52:09Everton now have
00:52:10Two on the scoreboard
00:52:12That stand
00:52:12On his 350th
00:52:15League appearance
00:52:16And his career
00:52:17Michael Keane
00:52:20Makes it
00:52:20Everton two
00:52:21Fulham nil
00:52:22Off his shoulder
00:52:24Michael Keane
00:52:27Gives Everton
00:52:28Some breathing space
00:52:29I thought we played
00:52:31Well enough today
00:52:32To win the game
00:52:33But Fulham
00:52:34We're always a threat
00:52:34I think all the teams
00:52:35In the Premier League
00:52:36At the moment
00:52:36Offer some form of threat
00:52:37And you never know
00:52:39How things are going to go
00:52:40But I thought today
00:52:40We warranted it
00:52:42We got a couple
00:52:42Other goals ruled out
00:52:44So
00:52:44Gave us great highs
00:52:46But ultimately
00:52:47We didn't get in from them
00:52:48To be fair
00:52:48I knew it hit my shoulder
00:52:49I think I've had it at first
00:52:50But I knew it hit my shoulder
00:52:51I knew it wasn't my arm
00:52:52So I knew it was safe
00:52:53But
00:52:53Yeah
00:52:54Obviously
00:52:55Disallowed
00:52:55But five goals
00:52:56Shows the pressure
00:52:57We were putting on
00:52:57I know a lot of them
00:52:58Were set players
00:52:59Getting the ball in the box
00:52:59But
00:53:00I think that was part of the plan
00:53:01To put pressure on
00:53:02Especially at home
00:53:03Get the fans behind us
00:53:04And I thought we did that well today
00:53:05We played 20 minutes
00:53:06The first and 20 minutes
00:53:07Of the second half
00:53:08Nothing more
00:53:08We played the game
00:53:10That we should
00:53:10We played with the
00:53:11The resilience on the ball
00:53:13And off the ball
00:53:13That this type of games
00:53:15You should play
00:53:15All the other moments
00:53:16Of the game
00:53:17Was not good enough at all
00:53:19Unfortunately
00:53:19Rodrigo felt something again
00:53:21And to protect himself
00:53:22And ourselves
00:53:23He was not in conditions
00:53:24To keep on the game
00:53:25And of course
00:53:26Changed completely the plan again
00:53:27We went with a different
00:53:29Profile of a number nine
00:53:31And was more difficult
00:53:32After that for us
00:53:33I was actually very pleased
00:53:34With Tiano Barry today
00:53:35I thought that he
00:53:36Had won his better games
00:53:38And he was a bit unlucky
00:53:40Not to get the goal
00:53:41Which was ruled out
00:53:41But I thought he'd done
00:53:42A great job for the team today
00:53:44And his work
00:53:45His pressing
00:53:45Was really positive for us
00:53:47We will talk about Tiano Barry
00:53:50In just a second
00:53:51But overall from Everton
00:53:52They come away with
00:53:53The 2-0 win
00:53:54Where do you think
00:53:55They were most effective?
00:53:56They were most effective
00:53:57I felt
00:53:58Most of the time
00:53:58When you talk about teams
00:53:59You look at the spine
00:54:00Of a team
00:54:00But for me
00:54:01It was more the midfield three
00:54:02With a heartbeat
00:54:03To everything that was good
00:54:04About Everton today
00:54:05In a game that needed
00:54:07A lot of energy
00:54:08And balance
00:54:09And desire
00:54:09And that's all the Everton fans
00:54:11Really want in a team
00:54:12But it just again
00:54:14Has always
00:54:15Been at Everton at heart
00:54:17But what I really like
00:54:18Of Drewsby Hall
00:54:18He's getting the minutes
00:54:19He's getting the time
00:54:20And he's the willing runner
00:54:21Out of the three
00:54:21Who's always willing to be
00:54:23To be able to create
00:54:25These chances out of nothing
00:54:26Technically on the ball as well
00:54:29Fantastic
00:54:29This is what I'm talking about
00:54:31He's the player that likes
00:54:32To carry the ball
00:54:33Ball carries
00:54:34Wins three kicks
00:54:35And we know how important
00:54:35Three kicks are this season
00:54:36Particularly
00:54:37I think he's playing
00:54:38With a lot more confidence as well
00:54:39This is the goal
00:54:41That actually leads to
00:54:42Being offside
00:54:43Where Ndai
00:54:43But you can just see
00:54:45The creating
00:54:46Is coming from the midfield
00:54:47Three
00:54:47Barry's a bit unlucky
00:54:48And Ndai was offside there
00:54:50This if you want to call it
00:54:54Assist is interesting
00:54:55But look
00:54:56I love the fact
00:54:57They commit the bodies
00:54:58And just couldn't quite
00:54:59Sort his feet out
00:55:00But his mate there
00:55:01To back him up
00:55:02To get his goal
00:55:02It does count as an assist
00:55:04It does count as an assist
00:55:05Which actually surprises me
00:55:06Because you don't have to do much
00:55:07These days
00:55:08But look
00:55:09I really think
00:55:10Again this was another
00:55:11Offside goal
00:55:12Where it just shows
00:55:13They're being in the right positions
00:55:14At the right time
00:55:15Where you're going to be able
00:55:16To get the goals
00:55:16And Drewsby Hall
00:55:17We know about his quality
00:55:18Set-piece is really important
00:55:19It comes off Michael Keane's shoulder
00:55:21But look
00:55:21I think he's been
00:55:22An absolutely fantastic signing for him
00:55:24I think he's deserved
00:55:25To be in this role
00:55:26And he's playing with a lot more confidence
00:55:27Than he ever has done
00:55:28David Moyes wanted to give his support
00:55:30To Tieno Barry
00:55:31And so too did the Everton fans
00:55:33And in fact he posted
00:55:34On Instagram
00:55:35Talking about the difficult start
00:55:37To the season without scoring
00:55:38But he really appreciated
00:55:40The ovation that he got
00:55:41When he came off
00:55:42He says that he's
00:55:43He feels that it's shown
00:55:45That he's on the right path
00:55:46Are you seeing that
00:55:47In his performances
00:55:49Theo?
00:55:50I was today
00:55:50I think all the Everton fans
00:55:52Ask his energy
00:55:53And hunger
00:55:54And willingness not to give up
00:55:56He scored 11 goals in La Liga
00:55:58And that's the thing
00:55:59That you're going to be judging
00:56:00Of course
00:56:00However
00:56:01He'd be disappointed in that one
00:56:03But he's in the right position
00:56:04He's a player today
00:56:06I just felt he wouldn't give up
00:56:07He didn't
00:56:07You could shy away from things
00:56:09And just the luck's not on his side
00:56:10At this moment in time
00:56:11But look
00:56:12I think it's important
00:56:13When you come from a different culture
00:56:14A different league
00:56:14Is to settle in quickly
00:56:15And I think the fans
00:56:16Everton will really play a big part in that
00:56:18So I think that's a big ask for them
00:56:20But look
00:56:20Fantastic today for them
00:56:21And a real concern for Fulham
00:56:23That they can't score
00:56:24Three own goals
00:56:25Is their top scorer
00:56:27There you go then
00:56:29Well they need to
00:56:30Maybe sign those players
00:56:31But look
00:56:31Yeah it's not good enough for Fulham
00:56:33Because they're a team
00:56:34That might get dragged into it
00:56:35Yeah
00:56:35Now Chelsea were aiming for
00:56:38A return to the top four
00:56:39As they hosted managerless
00:56:40And winless Wolves
00:56:42In their first game
00:56:43Since their sacking of Vito Pereira
00:56:45Commentary comes from Mark Scott
00:56:47The Wolves' hump for a new manager
00:56:51Might be over soon
00:56:52With Borough boss Rob Edwards
00:56:53In talks about taking over
00:56:55Meanwhile Chelsea's search for consistency
00:56:57Goes on
00:56:58After only managing a draw
00:57:00At Carabag in midweek
00:57:01But Enzo Mareska's not having chat
00:57:03About his regular mass rotation
00:57:05Being the reason behind it
00:57:07There is just one change
00:57:08From the win at Spurs
00:57:09As Liam DeLapp comes in
00:57:11For Rhys James
00:57:11Under-21's coach
00:57:13James Collins has picked
00:57:14The Wolves' side tonight
00:57:15And their fans will no doubt
00:57:16Be delighted to see
00:57:17Andre and Jao Gomez return
00:57:19With Chatua and Hwang
00:57:21Also coming in
00:57:22It's certainly been eventful
00:57:25Recently between these two
00:57:2625 goals scored
00:57:28In the last four meetings
00:57:30In all competitions
00:57:31The latest of which
00:57:33A 4-3 Chelsea win
00:57:35At Molyneux
00:57:36In the League Cup last week
00:57:37Stran Larsson
00:57:40Just about got that right
00:57:41Goal cards lost out
00:57:43Could be trouble here
00:57:44Garnacho
00:57:45But there is trouble
00:57:46For Santiago Bueno
00:57:49Cucurea won it back
00:57:51Really well
00:57:51Garnacho was direct
00:57:52And Santiago Bueno
00:57:54Has to give away
00:57:55The free kick
00:57:56In a useful area
00:57:57Enzo Fernandes
00:58:00Who's gone for goal
00:58:01And Johnston
00:58:02Has to tip it away
00:58:03Really good try this
00:58:08From Enzo Fernandes
00:58:09And a smart stop
00:58:11From the Wolves' keeper
00:58:12Wayne Rooney said on his
00:58:14BBC podcast this week
00:58:15Chelsea's senior players
00:58:17Should question
00:58:18Should question
00:58:18And to Mureska's rotation policy
00:58:20Mureska's reply was that
00:58:22It's impossible to play
00:58:23The same players all the time
00:58:25Given what a marathon
00:58:26The season is
00:58:27No one complains about it
00:58:28No one complains about it
00:58:28When they're winning
00:58:29For Farnett
00:58:32Chau Pedro
00:58:33Chau Pedro trying to tickle it round
00:58:34For Dilap
00:58:35He's given away
00:58:37In a bad area
00:58:38Enzo Fernandes
00:58:39Good ball
00:58:39Garnacho
00:58:40Well saved by Johnston
00:58:42But should Alejandro Garnacho
00:58:45Have even given him
00:58:46The chance to make the save
00:58:47Comfortable save
00:58:49For Sam Johnston
00:58:50And I think he should have
00:58:52Found the net here
00:58:53Malocusto
00:58:59Pulled off on that pass
00:59:01And Kukurea
00:59:02Accused by the Wolves
00:59:03Players and fans
00:59:05Of a foul
00:59:05But Andrew Kitchin
00:59:07Wasn't having it
00:59:08Garnacho
00:59:12Wolves will be fuming
00:59:14If this leads to anything
00:59:15And Johnston's punch
00:59:17Not the most convincing
00:59:18Fernandes
00:59:18And Johnston
00:59:20Reacts to send it behind
00:59:21But Wolves feel
00:59:22It should be a
00:59:23Free kick for them
00:59:24Rather than a corner kick
00:59:25For Chelsea
00:59:26First piece of work
00:59:28From Johnston
00:59:29Wasn't the most convincing
00:59:30Bit better
00:59:30On the follow-up
00:59:31When Fernandes let fly
00:59:33Enzo Fernandes
00:59:35With a corner kick
00:59:36And a tricky one
00:59:38To deal with
00:59:38Which is off the line
00:59:39Johnston didn't get
00:59:43Close to it
00:59:44He felt it was being fouled
00:59:45But it needed
00:59:46Dealing with
00:59:46From on the goal line
00:59:48Chelsea have scored
00:59:55In all of their last
00:59:5615 games
00:59:57In all competitions
00:59:58The last time
00:59:59That they drew a blank
00:59:59A goalless draw
01:00:01With Palace
01:00:01Here on the opening weekend
01:00:02Have looked a bit short
01:00:04Of ideas
01:00:05Up top tonight
01:00:06A goalless draw
01:00:08Garnaccio
01:00:08Just delayed by
01:00:14Chachua
01:00:15Now it's
01:00:16Cucuraya
01:00:17Back for
01:00:17Alejandro Garnaccio
01:00:18That's nice
01:00:19So is that
01:00:20Gusto
01:00:21Malo Gusto's
01:00:25First ever
01:00:26Senior goal
01:00:28Gives Chelsea
01:00:29The lead
01:00:30What a moment
01:00:32For him
01:00:32And what a surprise
01:00:34It is
01:00:35To see that
01:00:36Malo Gusto's
01:00:37The man
01:00:37To find a way
01:00:39Through the
01:00:40Wolves back line
01:00:41Credit to
01:00:42Alejandro Garnaccio
01:00:43Is twisting and turning
01:00:46And curling ball in
01:00:48Which was begging
01:00:49To be put away
01:00:50Not the man
01:00:52That they thought
01:00:53Would be the one
01:00:54To make it happen
01:00:55But Malo Gusto
01:00:57Has made it
01:00:58Chelsea won
01:00:59Wolves nil
01:01:00Belgaard
01:01:05Having a go
01:01:07I think Sanchez
01:01:09Was always confident
01:01:10It was drifting over the top
01:01:12And that goes down
01:01:13As Wolves
01:01:14First shot
01:01:15In the game
01:01:16Even if it was
01:01:17A fair way
01:01:18Off target
01:01:19Neto
01:01:27Jean-Petro
01:01:29Into Fernandez
01:01:34Moises Caicedo
01:01:43Esteval
01:01:46Stamford Bridge
01:01:48On its feet
01:01:48What's the Brazilian
01:01:50Got here
01:01:51It's got a
01:01:51Low ball in
01:01:52And he's teed up
01:01:54Jao Pedro
01:01:55For Chelsea's
01:01:56Second
01:01:57Immediate impact
01:02:00From Esteval
01:02:01To set up
01:02:03Chao Pedro
01:02:04To put daylight
01:02:05Between Chelsea
01:02:07And Wolves
01:02:07The boys
01:02:09From Brazil
01:02:10To the business
01:02:11For Chelsea
01:02:12Esteval
01:02:13Who's been on the pitch
01:02:15For barely two minutes
01:02:17Esteval's cut back
01:02:19Getting a touch
01:02:20Of Krejci
01:02:21And then
01:02:21Bang
01:02:22From Chao Pedro
01:02:23Who didn't even
01:02:25Think about it
01:02:25Instincts took over
01:02:27And that's what Chelsea
01:02:28Have lacked today
01:02:29There's been too much
01:02:30Thinking
01:02:31But Chao Pedro
01:02:32Trusted his gut there
01:02:34And Chelsea now
01:02:35Are looking good
01:02:36For the win
01:02:37He's looking for
01:02:41Strand Larsson
01:02:41That run ahead of
01:02:43Chalabar
01:02:44And now quickly
01:02:44On for Garnaccio
01:02:45Santiago Bueno
01:02:47Outpaced by Garnaccio
01:02:49And Garnaccio's
01:02:50Crossed Neto
01:02:52Game over now
01:02:54The former Wolves man
01:02:57Rubber stamps
01:02:58The win for Chelsea
01:02:59And again
01:03:02There's credit
01:03:04Very quickly
01:03:04For the man
01:03:05Who was the provider
01:03:07Alejandro Garnaccio
01:03:09This time
01:03:10The one to
01:03:10Tee up a teammate
01:03:11Two really good
01:03:14Assists tonight
01:03:15From Alejandro Garnaccio
01:03:16The first lap
01:03:17Beautiful cross
01:03:18For Gusto
01:03:19The second
01:03:20An excellent run
01:03:21And measured cross
01:03:23Which again
01:03:24Put it on a plate
01:03:26For another in blue
01:03:27Pedro Neto
01:03:29The beneficiary
01:03:29This time around
01:03:30And Chelsea
01:03:32Coasting
01:03:33To the win now
01:03:34They can put their feet up
01:03:40With the points
01:03:41In the bag
01:03:42Chelsea 3
01:03:44Wolves 0
01:03:45No team's ever stayed up
01:03:49In the Premier League
01:03:50After taking just two points
01:03:52From their opening ten games
01:03:53It's going to be two
01:03:55From eleven
01:03:57For Wolves this season
01:03:58Caicedo's robbed that
01:04:02Estevão now
01:04:03Garnaccio in plenty of room
01:04:05Garnaccio was waiting
01:04:07Garnaccio was waiting
01:04:07Garnaccio spilled
01:04:09And then Mark Guillaume
01:04:10Who's just come on
01:04:11Couldn't convert the rebound
01:04:13All started with Caicedo
01:04:18Nicking possession
01:04:19Estevão to Garnaccio
01:04:20Garnaccio
01:04:20Whose effort was deflected
01:04:22That's why Johnston made
01:04:23A bit of a meal of it
01:04:24But Mark Guillaume
01:04:26Unable to take advantage
01:04:28Off the post and out
01:04:30Now Munetzi
01:04:39Surging through the middle
01:04:40And nearly
01:04:42Getting them on the board
01:04:43Tonight
01:04:44Munetzi
01:04:46On to it
01:04:47But half a yard
01:04:48Wide at the post
01:04:49That was almost another
01:04:51Of the silly goals
01:04:52That Chelsea have conceded
01:04:54Recently
01:04:54In the words of
01:04:55Enzo Maresca
01:04:56There's sometimes
01:04:59A bit of negativity
01:05:00Around the way
01:05:01Things are going
01:05:02But right now
01:05:02Things are looking good
01:05:03No?
01:05:04It's more
01:05:05Noise from outside
01:05:08Inside
01:05:08We are convinced
01:05:10That we go in
01:05:11The right direction
01:05:12But at the same time
01:05:14We can do many things better
01:05:16When we look at the squad
01:05:17Do you think there's enough
01:05:18Out there to still stay
01:05:19In the Premier League?
01:05:19Yeah I do
01:05:20I really do
01:05:21Our season won't be decided
01:05:22On Chelsea away
01:05:23Like today what I've seen
01:05:25But they've shown
01:05:26They can show spirit
01:05:27They've shown
01:05:27They can show
01:05:28Drive determination
01:05:29And then if we can add
01:05:30A little bit of quality
01:05:31To it then
01:05:31Who knows?
01:05:33Alejandro Garnaccio
01:05:34Scored for you in the week
01:05:35And two really
01:05:36Really good assists
01:05:37Tonight as well
01:05:38Yeah it was very good
01:05:39It was very good
01:05:40But not only on the ball
01:05:41It was also very good
01:05:42Off the ball
01:05:43The way it was pressing
01:05:44And this is what we need
01:05:45From our wingers
01:05:46It was really straightforward
01:05:48For Chelsea
01:05:49Against a team
01:05:50Who are without a manager
01:05:51Without a win
01:05:52So far in the Premier League
01:05:53This season
01:05:53But Enzo Moresca
01:05:55Singled out Alejandro Garnaccio
01:05:56What did you make of him Alan?
01:05:58Yeah I was really impressed
01:05:59With him
01:05:59Scored him midweek
01:06:00As he said
01:06:00And I think it was
01:06:01His best game today
01:06:02I thought he caused problems
01:06:03All evening
01:06:04Down that
01:06:05Down the left hand side
01:06:07And whoever was
01:06:08Coming up against him
01:06:10He had
01:06:11He had more pace
01:06:12Than we went
01:06:12Passed him with ease
01:06:14And he was a real threat
01:06:15And putting balls
01:06:16Good balls
01:06:17Into the box
01:06:19For his forwards
01:06:20And of course
01:06:20They benefited from that
01:06:22I thought he looked
01:06:23Really really comfortable
01:06:24You can see there
01:06:25What he wants to do
01:06:26And I think the goalkeeper
01:06:28Should do better there
01:06:29But at least he's
01:06:30Going past the defender
01:06:31And at least he's
01:06:32Getting balls into the box
01:06:33Which is what he did
01:06:34Really really well here
01:06:35It's a really clever ball in
01:06:38Gusto's first goal
01:06:40It was like
01:06:40Put on a plate
01:06:41But this one for me
01:06:42Going past Buena
01:06:43Look
01:06:44He's just not
01:06:45Going to catch him
01:06:46And sometimes
01:06:46The most difficult pass
01:06:47When someone is free
01:06:49In the middle
01:06:49And there's no one around you
01:06:50But not on that occasion
01:06:52Into Neto
01:06:52For an absolute tap in
01:06:54How you like them
01:06:55As any forward
01:06:55And I thought he was
01:06:56A real threat all evening
01:06:57Theo Wolves
01:06:58Don't have a manager
01:06:59Yet
01:07:00But Rob Edwards'
01:07:01Contract at Middlesbrough
01:07:02Has been suspended
01:07:03Because he wanted
01:07:04Permission to talk to Wolves
01:07:05The clubs have agreed
01:07:07Have come to an agreement
01:07:08It's now about
01:07:09Agreeing personal terms
01:07:10For Rob Edwards
01:07:11Do you feel that this is a side
01:07:13That can stay up
01:07:15Given that no side
01:07:16With two points
01:07:17At this stage of the season
01:07:18Has ever survived
01:07:19In the Premier League
01:07:20I think it's going to be
01:07:21Too difficult
01:07:21Very difficult
01:07:22As well
01:07:22When a new manager comes in
01:07:24New ideas
01:07:24Players can always find that
01:07:26Quite difficult to adapt
01:07:27But look
01:07:28I think it's a big ask
01:07:29For Wolves to now stay
01:07:30In this league
01:07:30I think it's too much
01:07:31For them now
01:07:31So would it then be
01:07:32A surprising move
01:07:33For Rob Edwards
01:07:34Well I get
01:07:35His connection with Wolves
01:07:37And where he is
01:07:38And has a house
01:07:39In the particular area
01:07:41But I think Middlesbrough
01:07:42Gave him a great opportunity
01:07:43And I think it's very
01:07:45Very harsh on them
01:07:46And I think it's a huge risk
01:07:47From his point of view
01:07:48Because I don't see them
01:07:49Staying up at all
01:07:50I don't see enough ability
01:07:51In that squad
01:07:52And I don't see it being
01:07:53Very inviting for any player
01:07:55To go there in January either
01:07:56So it's a big gamble
01:07:57Let's take a look then
01:07:59At the Premier League table
01:08:01Arsenal are still
01:08:02Six points clear
01:08:03At the top
01:08:04Chelsea have climbed to second
01:08:05And just two points
01:08:07Separate them
01:08:08And eighth place
01:08:08Manchester United
01:08:10Everton are up
01:08:11Three places
01:08:12They're into 11th
01:08:13Fulham remain 15th
01:08:14West Ham stay
01:08:16In the bottom three
01:08:16Only behind Burnley
01:08:17On goal difference
01:08:18Winners Wolves
01:08:19Stay bottom
01:08:21Thank you very much
01:08:23To Alan Shearer
01:08:24And Theo Walcott
01:08:25For your company
01:08:26This evening
01:08:26So Arsenal
01:08:27Drop points
01:08:28At Sunderland
01:08:28Who are unbeaten
01:08:30At home
01:08:30Their house party
01:08:31Continues
01:08:32Thanks to Mr Broby
01:08:57We'll see you next up
01:09:01But if you can see us
01:09:02Again
01:09:02At the 1st
01:09:03Bang
01:09:03Who are unbeaten
01:09:04Is a bad
