00:00The job that you have at the bottom, I seem to be much higher on.
00:05I can maybe figure out the difference, but I'm curious,
00:10why is the Las Vegas Raiders job seen as arguably the worst
00:14from people that you've spoke to?
00:16All right, here's the way that I've ranked them
00:18based on the information I've been given.
00:19And the criteria happen to be these, like, in order, okay?
00:26Overall roster talent, quarterback situation,
00:29ownership, front office, and salary cap.
00:32Salary cap's way down the line because you could always manipulate it.
00:34But those are the factors when you evaluate how good of a job is.
00:38Now, it's funny.
00:39You and I debated that giant roster, right, to start the season.
00:42I just hated their schedule.
00:44I know you liked them over the six and a half.
00:45I understood that fact.
00:46If they could have just not choked so much,
00:47they probably would have been over it.
00:48But, hey, they removed Brian Dable in season.
00:51Here's why a lot of coaches I've spoken to like this a little bit more
00:54than the Baltimore one.
00:55I know that's going to shock some people.
00:56But Jackson Dart, he's got everything he wants.
00:59Size, athleticism, toughness.
01:01Very coachable, as I'm told.
01:04Lots of talent in the front seven.
01:06Really, extremely talented.
01:08Abdul Carter came on after a very slow start, some immaturity issues.
01:12He came on.
01:13Thibodeau's a good player, though.
01:14He ended the season with an injury.
01:16And you know how good Brian Burns is.
01:18Very good talent at linebacker.
01:20O'Kara K.'s a good player.
01:21Great talent with Dexter Lawrence and others in the front seven.
01:26Good safety talent.
01:28Issues that are on the offensive line.
01:29It continues to be a problem for them.
01:31Receiver, they're going to get back.
01:33Neighbors from his ACL injury, but they need to fortify it.
01:36This is an interesting roster now.
01:38A couple coaches I spoke with, and they're aware of the Lamar Jackson situation
01:41this past season.
01:42How coachable was he?
01:44Why did he fall off?
01:45You know, he had all these injury reports listed as illness.
01:48What was the problem?
01:49Why did he drop off like this?
01:51Is he totally committed?
01:53You want to know about, does he want to be great again, Kevin?
01:55That, to me, is a problem.
01:58And coaches I've talked to have mentioned that.
02:00So I would have it, depending on who you speak with,
02:01the Giants won and the Ravens won A.
02:04Yeah, it's really, I mean, me personally, I think Baltimore,
02:08Jackson Dart, his wildest dreams, won't have the career that Lamar Jackson
02:12has already had.
02:14But, Cap, this is just what I'm curious about.
02:16I think the Raiders' job is a good job because I have 100% confidence
02:20in Fernando Mendoza.
02:22Do you think that opinion is not shared around the league?
02:25The problem is the roster, okay?
02:27We're assuming, now again, we're assuming that that's the way the Raiders
02:32and other clubs see this.
02:33The Raiders need a quarterback.
02:34He's by far the best quarterback available right now.
02:36But they've got to get through the process.
02:38But the problem is offensive line issues.
02:41Running back, Jenty did not turn out to be who they thought he was,
02:44though he closed the season better.
02:46They've got major problems on defense.
02:48Other than Max Crosby, who's a stud talent, he's a lead.
02:52Another lead talent.
02:54Really, overall, this is a bottom five roster.
02:57Now, the question is on Mendoza.
03:00Is he a franchise-type quarterback?
03:02We could say with all we want, this season was incredible.
03:05But you've got to go through the whole thing before you say he's a franchise-type
03:09quarterback.
03:09Just because you're taking number one, and we've seen some quarterbacks not do as well
03:13when taking the top five, we'll reserve judgment on that one.
03:17But the overall roster is not very good.
03:20The craziness of their front office and Tom Brady's involvement, who's kind of running,
03:23he's called a shadow GM by other people that I speak with around the league.
03:27So, Kevin, that's not a very good job right now.
03:29But you would have to think Mendoza's going to be a stud.
03:31So, Kevin, that's a very good job.
