00:00Revelation, Chapter 11

00:02I was given a measuring rod, like a staff, and was told,

00:10Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar and those who worship in it.

00:18But leave out the outer court.

00:21Do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles

00:25who will trample the holy city for forty-two months.

00:31I will give power to my two witnesses,

00:35and they will prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days,

00:41dressed in sackcloth.

00:44These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands

00:48standing before the God of the earth.

00:50If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes out of their mouths

00:56and devours their enemies.

00:59Anyone who wants to harm them must die in this way.

01:04They have the power to shut the sky,

01:07so that it does not rain during the days of their prophecy,

01:11and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood

01:15and to strike the earth with any plague as often as they wish.

01:20When they have finished their testimony,

01:23the beast coming up from the abyss will make war against them,

01:27overcome them, and kill them.

01:30Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city,

01:33which in a spiritual sense is called Sodom and Egypt,

01:37where also their Lord was crucified.

01:40People from every tribe, language, nation, and people

01:45will see their bodies for three and a half days,

01:49and they will not allow them to be buried.

01:52The inhabitants of the earth will rejoice

01:55and send gifts to one another,

01:57because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

02:02But after three and a half days,

02:05the breath of life from God entered them,

02:08and they stood on their feet,

02:10and great fear fell on those who saw them.

02:14A loud voice from heaven said to them,

02:17Come up here.

02:18And they went up to heaven in a cloud,

02:21and their enemies watched them.

02:23At that moment, there was a great earthquake,

02:30and a tenth of the city collapsed.

02:33About 7,000 people died in the earthquake,

02:36and the rest were terrified

02:38and gave glory to the God of heaven.

02:42The second woe has passed.

02:44Behold, the third woe comes quickly.

02:48The seventh angel sounded his trumpet.

02:53And loud voices in heaven said,

03:00The kingdoms of the world have become the kingdoms of our Lord

03:06and of his Christ, and he will reign forever.

03:11The 24 elders seated before God

03:14fell on their faces and worshipped God,

03:18saying,

03:19We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,

03:23who is and who was and who is to come,

03:28because you have taken your great power

03:31and have begun to reign.

03:34The nations were enraged,

03:37but your wrath has come.

03:40It is the time to judge the dead,

03:43to reward your servants,

03:45the prophets and saints,

03:48those who fear your name,

03:50both small and great,

03:52and to destroy those who destroy the earth.

03:58The temple of God was opened in heaven,

04:00and the ark of his covenant was seen in his temple.
