00:00Revelation chapter 9

00:02The fifth angel sounded his trumpet,

00:08and I saw a star fall from heaven to the earth.

00:16It was given the key to the abyss.

00:22He opened the abyss, and smoke rose like from a great furnace.

00:27The sun and the air were darkened by the smoke.

00:32From the smoke came locusts onto the earth,

00:36and they were given power like the scorpions of the earth.

00:41They were told not to harm the grass or any green thing,

00:45but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

00:50They were allowed to torment those people for five months, but not to kill them.

01:00Their pain was like the sting of a scorpion.

01:05During those days, people will seek death, but it will flee from them.

01:10They will wish to die, but death will reject them.

01:14The locusts looked like horses ready for battle.

01:18On their heads were something like golden crowns,

01:21and their faces looked like human faces.

01:24They had hair like women's hair, and teeth like lion's teeth.

01:29They wore armor like iron,

01:31and the noise of their wings was like the roar of many chariots rushing to battle.

01:36They had tails like scorpions with stingers,

01:46and they had power to harm people for five months.

01:51Over them was a king,

01:53the angel of the abyss,

01:55named Abaddon in Hebrew and Apollonian in Greek.

02:00The first woe has passed.

02:02Two more woes are yet to come.

02:07The sixth angel sounded his trumpet,

02:10and I heard a voice from the golden altar before God,

02:15saying to the angel with the trumpet,

02:18Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.

02:23They were released to kill a third of mankind.

02:27The number of the mounted army was two hundred million,

02:37and I heard their number.

02:39I saw the horses and riders

02:41wearing breastplates of fire, sapphire, and sulfur.

02:45The heads of the horses were like lions,

02:51and fire, smoke, and sulfur came out of their mouths.

02:55By these three plagues,

02:57a third of mankind was killed

02:59by the fire, smoke, and sulfur coming from their mouths.

03:03Their power was in their mouths and tails.

03:11The tails were like snakes with heads that could harm.

03:16The rest of mankind,

03:18who were not killed by these plagues,

03:21did not repent of the works of their hands,

03:24nor stop worshipping demons

03:26or images of gold, silver, bronze, stone, or wood,

03:30which cannot see, hear, or move.

03:34Nor did they repent of their murders,

03:36sorceries, sexual immorality, or thefts.

03:40Nor did they repent of their eyes.

03:48Nor did they repent of their doors,
