00:00Christmas is a magical time of year but it comes with a long list of jobs
00:12Timber might be winter but you shouldn't build a sweat doing anything like this
00:18especially if you live in an enormous chateau there's a lot more work involved
00:24than we ever imagined we're following intrepid owners I am slightly anxious
00:30of whether it's gonna stay up let's hope it's going to hold hold hold as they prepare for
00:36the festive season in France this is my day of fun we'll witness the highs we have Christmas
00:43the lows can't go forwards can't go backwards so now we've got to work out a way of getting
00:50out the joy and magic as they turn their castles into a winter wonderland Owen there you go Merry
01:09Christmas and this is Christmas and isn't it wonderful today okay never mind
01:20Santa fitting down the chimney what will a dining table make it through a front door
01:26well you gotta lift it right up I like your optimism how much brandy you're gonna put in
01:33no idea a potential recipe for disaster I've never had a raspberry and a mince pie well
01:38my nose is going to be like that tomorrow and a Christmas miracle in the making for another couple
01:44it's all about preparing stable for a new arrival but only if enough room can be made it's all a bit
01:53backwards and higgledy-piggledy because I've been making this up as I go along really
01:56in the winter wonderland of the dog dine in southwest France lies the historic 14th century chateau de vie vignes
02:13this once abandoned former monastery boasts 35 rooms and a medieval tower what about this one it's
02:26being brought back to life if I can't smell anything either by former Londoners Nick and Nicole who live
02:33here with son Noah Christmas is magical and I've been waiting for so long to just be able to go all out
02:41decorate it bring in foliage from the garden and yes just make it magical preparing for Christmas in
02:48a chateau is quite full-on it's become a full-time job really located two hours inland from Bordeaux the
02:59couple bought the derelict chateau in 2021 for 195 thousand pounds their Christmas parties are becoming
03:10legendary with the locals and last year they turned a neglected and empty wine cellar into a twinkling
03:26hideaway to enjoy a festive tipple we have our own wine cup Merry Christmas Merry Christmas most recently
03:36they've transformed a vast dining room but now need to furnish it in time for this year's sparkling
03:43festive party we're so excited that the dining room is going to be ready for Christmas well I mean
03:50it's a vision that we've had for so long and to see it come together with the table the fireplace
03:55yeah it's it's something quite special it's going to be magical we promise
03:59are we done today their Christmas wish is starting to come true with a special delivery
04:11oh wow oh my goodness wow this is absolutely stunning gorgeous true craftsmanship
04:21glad you like it I could tell by your expression it's amazing but will Dave's bespoke tabletop fit
04:28up the stone steps and in through the narrow front door I think it's just gonna go I think we'd be
04:35okay I like your optimism yeah you've got to be optimistic when you're dealing in big tables you've
04:39got to be very optimistic workman Andrew lends an extra pair of hands Dave's gonna make us look really
04:46weak when he just carries off one by himself I'm not making him a little weak

04:59yeah I would say that's about right one two three oh yeah yeah it's the four meter long tabletop that
05:07could prove the problem slow down you okay yeah you have to go a bit higher if you can watch the wall
05:15yeah it also weighs more than 30 stone what you're gonna do him now you've got to lift it right
05:22up yeah what can you stop it tipping it wait I've got it here don't worry
05:27watch it keep it low yeah
05:31right flattened get on his edge hold it there one second yeah
05:35I've got it got it right right flat that was hard work and I wasn't actually doing much of the lifting
05:48let's just get it right and see the tape measure
05:53it feels like we could not have found anything more beautiful to put in this room a bit of space
06:02but also the lights the character as well yeah it works well it's gonna see a lot of good times it's
06:08found a good home yeah good yeah I'm glad they now have a dining table fit for a festive feast
06:16but there's a long way to go before the room is looking ready for its first party guests
06:29deep in the occitanie region of southern france stands the enchanting 19th century chateau de piquin
06:37of the town surrounded by six and a half acres with a private lake inside there are 31 rooms
06:49it is now home to intellectual property manager jane and rory a plumber and actor
06:57it's going to be so new and unusual being here for christmas
07:01um and we'll be piping christmas music throughout the chateau and until everybody's sick to death of
07:08it but yeah it's just so nice i love christmas rory especially bring he brings he makes christmas
07:15he creates it from my armpits basically comes out but no you need someone to be super enthusiastic
07:23super into it and you are that person yes i'm i'm towing the christmas line for everyone
07:29situated an hour and a half from toulouse the animal loving couple bought the chateau in 2024
07:41for 470 000 pounds and moved in with dogs bonnie and bunty good coming and their two horses penny and harry
07:52good boy as this will be their first christmas here they're treating themselves to a special gift
08:02today it's all about preparing the stable for a new arrival yes because we've bought a horse
08:11oh i'm super excited because we've never been able to ride together because one of the horses is is
08:17retired so i've always had to ride on my own maybe we can go for a nice christmas day ride out together
08:24you never know yes that would be amazing not wanting any long faces from harry or penny this christmas
08:33rory is on a mission so it's all a bit backwards and higgledy-piggledy because i'm i've been making
08:38this up as i go along really he needs to cordon off a space in the stables before the new horse arrives
08:47if a horse leans against a fence that isn't strong enough then that fence is going to collapse
08:53so i'm just hoping that all of the posts that i've cemented into the ground
08:57are strong enough to stop that from happening time will tell
09:00leaving rory to create a sturdy framework jane has a festive project to get to grips with
09:13i'm all in favor of christmas trees being outside and here we have one that's pretty well perfect
09:19for christmas so i just want to rip out all the weeds that aren't supposed to be there and then we're
09:25going to decorate it i'm getting all snaggled up but that's just the way of things
09:35maybe i need to cut it in half oh no it's coming there we go
09:43the couple have been living the chateau life for less than a year
09:46it was definitely a risky decision and i'm not someone who enjoys risk it was quite difficult
09:56for me psychologically to do something so bold 945. it really is exactly what we hoped life would be
10:07like when uh when we came out to france the mountains are just there for skiing when the
10:12weather's better we'll have two horses soon we can just go out horse riding we've fallen on our feet
10:18in terms of friends locally i think we've made a really good choice with the location the property
10:24seems to be living up to all of our expectations everything's gone about as well as we could have
10:30wished really it's going to be an unusual christmas because uh we're not going to be buying each other
10:38large gifts because um this is it that'll fit nicely it's quite a substantial stable
10:55i mean you could imagine three wise men and a and a manger and shepherds and all sorts could fit in
11:01there last one for now ah that's one one big job done it's absolutely amazing their stable is almost
11:14ready to welcome its new guest tomorrow but they still want to decorate a 25-foot fir tree and christmas
11:22is galloping ever closer coming up can this family create sweet treats in time for christmas
11:35i'm a dog and what could go terribly wrong now and make a massive hole in my
11:40chair and will it be a nightmare before christmas for nicole christmas will be ruined
11:52christmas in a chateau provides the ideal opportunity to celebrate on a supersized scale
12:02whether it's the party's throne
12:06or spectacular decorations to dazzle we pulled off an absolute smasher i'm so
12:12chuffed all over france the festive season is being celebrated
12:17that includes terry and ashley who share their chateau life in normandy with terry's mother tracy
12:30and nephew jonathan
12:40you're getting in the front yeah today there's a special family christmas outing planned
12:46we're off into wellness on today to go and see a chocolate factory and it's just the one of the
12:52older amazing things about france like all the local artisans like this it's amazing
12:56so what are you looking forward to today eating chocolate is that it not making chocolate well
13:05yeah making chocolate and then eating it yeah
13:14looks nice
13:15they've come to visit jacques a master chocolatier whose family business has been running for over 100
13:27years we've come through it's an old 16th century house above us and it's just absolutely beautiful
13:35like everything in france okay a picture of bananas okay jonathan is going to be jackie's christmas
13:45helper today hi-ho hi-ho so putting some florentine in florentine ce sont des amandes de l'orange
13:56du miel so it's almonds orange and honey this is the first time i've made from top so
14:09just the most attention i've seen him pay to something a single task in forever yeah he's
14:14absolutely loving it so it's really nice to see i think we found what he wants to be when he's older
14:18now so he doesn't want to be a chat line he wants to be a chocolatier yeah with the florentine mix in
14:25the oven apprentice jonathan is on ganache duty excuse me while jacques creates the surprise centers
14:40for a tray full of truffles you can put them in the fridge to like harden them and he's going to cover
14:47it in chocolate after 12 minutes in the oven the florentine are ready
14:54in fridu papier i made these
15:01so i'm on the last one now so i'll do this one and i'll be done to do things like this
15:09it's every kid's dream yeah to get the chance to to make little chocolate treats like this yeah it's fantastic
15:17a dusting of raw cacao to finish off the truffles
15:29yeah you'll be happy i'm a dog i think they're brilliant they're good aren't they
15:38not wanting to leave empty-handed there's just time to buy a christmas gift for nana
15:47it's just made it feel so much like christmas yeah just doing sync like this and seeing him he was in
16:05his element he genuinely absolutely i think he's found his his vocation in life he's going to be a
16:10chocolatier yeah i think you want to be one don't you yeah yeah terry ashley and certainly jonathan
16:19have had a taste of christmas they're ready for the real thing now
16:28five hours south at jane and rory's the stables need to be made ready for an extra guest this christmas
16:35and eager to add some festive cheer they've gone searching for decorations thankfully the previous
16:45occupants left a generous supply behind the previous owners left all their possessions
16:52when we bought the property and that included a vast stock of christmas decorations most of which
17:00are in the barn baubles oh yes we have combed to mr and mrs baubles oh they're nice
17:11oh it's stockings to hang up stockings brand new unused stockings how many are there well there's that
17:18one and that one oh and that one and that one oh my gosh you suddenly find boxes and boxes of things
17:29you never knew knew you'd never knew you never knew you never needed oh look at that oh my goodness
17:38that could be quite handy decorating the barn yeah and it flat packs
17:48meanwhile outside there's a 25 foot fir tree that is looking decidedly unmerry and bright
17:55i have never in my life tried to decorate a tree this big i mean it's a tree that's about as big as
18:02some town centers might have so they would normally decorate them with a cherry picker i imagine which
18:09i don't have i have a stepladder and a long bit of bamboo but i'm sure my results will be the same
18:15christmas isn't christmas without first untangling hundreds and hundreds of meters of fairy lights
18:25oh look see i'm untangling them and then there's just the pile that's getting tangled back up again
18:32oh dear six meters of lights untangled now to get them on the tree
18:39rory's patented light hanging hook
18:47to the christmas tree it's almost too hooky
18:59it's like extreme hooker duck at the fairground
19:02the tricky thing is knowing what they're going to look like when it's dark and whether it's it's
19:09going to look like there's big gaps in the lighting rory has taken on a yuletide challenge on a chateau
19:18size scale and with further bright ideas for the stables his work is not over yet
19:26you can actually hook this up there exciting in the dining room nick and his stepfather john
19:43are determined there will be light this christmas now that's perfect
19:49while nicole focuses on the seating arrangements i am upholstering a one of our dining room chairs so
19:57this is quite critical because it needs to be ready for christmas it's a really nice course here i
20:03attended every week and what we do is we take old pieces of furniture that we found family heirlooms and
20:10things they found in brocans and giving them a new lease of life
20:13i've already attached the fabric on the back and now i'm putting down hessian
20:21it is quite nerve-wracking doing this because you don't want the whole chair to fall apart as
20:25you have somebody sit down on it but um but it's also so much fun
20:31back at the chateau nick and john are trying to gauge the right height for nicole's huge lanterns
20:44yeah i think that's a good so we're sitting down i think that's a good height anyway
20:50we don't have to finish that until the boss comes back
20:53a second light to match it's a nice vertical hole you did there nice it's a first but things
21:05aren't going quite so smoothly for nicole i've just found out that i have held my staple gun in the wrong
21:13angle which means that the staples came out on the other side i just need to get these out now
21:19how do we get that one out and it is coming don't worry oh good
21:32coming to this class is definitely a respite from the heavy duty diy that nick and i are constantly
21:38doing so this feels like a bit of it's a bit of a haven for me
21:44i'm really hoping she likes how they look especially the height because again this isn't
21:53always the easiest to adjust and what could go terribly wrong now is that i cut through the fabric
21:58and make a massive hole in my chair christmas will be ruined
22:04it looks great i really really like that um so it's flowers from france colors from sweden
22:12only three more to go after this one really looking forward to having these beautiful chairs
22:18around our new dining room table and just yes enjoying christmas on beautiful chairs
22:26back home nicole's vision for the dining room is becoming clearer
22:31wow what do you think this looks phenomenal yeah i'm so pleased yes i mean the the whole scheme is
22:43just coming together is absolutely beautiful and i think i mean the color goes so well with the table
22:48doesn't it grand furniture and lanterns have brought the vast dining room to life
22:55but it still needs to be dressed and sparkling in time for the christmas party
23:01still to come raspberry some mince pie yeah unconventional ingredients cause uncertainty
23:11at this chateau i'm getting ye of little faith no no no stephanie i'm just watching in amazement
23:18and it doesn't look like jane and rory will manage a silent night anytime soon harry is obviously
23:26kind of going oh my god who's this is this new horse a threat
23:36amidst the rolling fields of central france lies the magical chateau de la lande
23:44set in 60 acres and with 50 opulent rooms its 16th century splendor struck the right note
23:54for former opera singer stephanie who bought the place in 2005 for 600 000 pounds how's that one
24:03very nice excellent placement of a bottle living the chateau dream with her our fiance philip and the
24:11princely galahad christmas is all about the people that you spend it with and i love the fact that we'll
24:18wake up in the same house we'll come running downstairs to see the fire lit and the christmas
24:24tree lit it's magical located two hours east of poitiers stephanie is the queen of chateau christmas
24:34festivities marie i think we need you in this yeah it's the three degrees
24:42and celebrations have included transforming the chateau courtyard into a festive fairy tale welcome
24:49everybody to our winter wonder lounge
24:52and last year delivered a culinary experience with belzon ladies and gentlemen i present christmas dinner
25:06wellington this year is one of our most exciting christmases yet because we've been restoring the
25:13chapel of the chateau so we want to invite all of the locals to come and see the work that's been going
25:18on and we're decorating the chapel so that it feels very christmasy and festive and putting the nativity
25:24scene in there with the opening party just days away stephanie and sue elf jerry are making traditional
25:33treats for the guests have you made mince pies before made them i've never even tasted them yeah you've
25:39tasted them okay so here we have all of the mixed fruits we've got sultanas raisins currants actually
25:46we've got some cranberry in there as well make it even more christmasy so that is going in first
25:54but then i thought what can we do to make it a little bit french and we have these amazing raspberries
26:01they're steeped in alcohol they're really strong and that's going to make anything better isn't it
26:06surely raspberries and mince pie yeah there we go yep yep sorry i'm getting ye of little faith here
26:12gerald no no stephanie i'm just watching in amazement the greetings are great and then suet which i had
26:18to bring from england because you really can't get that here at all i love the smell of the orange zest
26:25with all the spices well christmas i always remember christmas we always got an apple and a tangerine
26:32and at the bottom of the bed in the soap oh did you get presents as well as that or was it just no that was it
26:44gerald you found your calling
26:49apple anger christmas fury
26:52and now we just need brandy now how much brandy you're going to put in no idea literally have no
27:04idea do you think one for christmas one for father christmas in there as well yeah okay i think that's
27:11quite a bit oh but it smells so good and look at those little raspberries i've never had a raspberry
27:19and a mince pie well man knows it's gonna be like that tomorrow stephanie's sweet treats have been
27:25lovingly laced with flavors of christmas but with a chapel still to decorate there's plenty more festive
27:32spirit needed before the job's done three hours to the south at nick and nicole's it's the day before
27:45their champagne christmas party and nick has a festive challenge on his hands i don't know how i've got
27:54roped into this this is definitely nicole's area of expertise um sanding down before she varnishes
28:02to kind of get it looking slightly less tattoo i think it's probably closing on 100 years old or something
28:07nicole found the sleigh in a brocante and it brought memories of childhood christmases flooding back
28:20so that's definitely taking off that top layer of old so it should be right for varnishing in a bit
28:27hi aha the mistletoe yeah nice it looks really nice i know in the center of it it's just crammed
28:39with berries yeah lots of berries oh nice oh that makes a huge distress because i was almost worried
28:46like oh we shouldn't do it but oh yeah that makes yeah and then once it's going to be varnished
28:50really well done it's looking great so i'm gonna go upstairs and hang the mistletoe cool okay well
28:55i'll just crack on brilliant good luck see you this was my first ever mistletoe picking experience
29:07and we don't have them in sweden so um for me it was like a kid at christmas seeing these i was like
29:13my goodness they're everywhere they're huge and i mean they're perfect size for our chateau because
29:18they're big and wonderful if we like it brilliant in there for now and then i'll see okay
29:29they're just so beautiful really pleased with that and then i'll go nicole get on and do some uh
29:35some varnishing armed with more greenery from the garden brilliant boughs of bay leaves add a festive
29:44touch we haven't been able to fill out around the windows and it just doesn't look really nice so
29:52i'm trying to hide the imperfections just for christmas
29:58oh i'm very happy with that that's nice
30:00with an expected 14 guests tomorrow nick starts prepping some festive nibbles
30:10while nicole whips the little sleigh into shape
30:15i really wonder how old it is
30:18how are you getting on over there yeah i'm almost done
30:21i can't remember a winter when we didn't go slaying it was just it's just a part of i think
30:29most swedish children's childhoods and i i won't know what to experience that as well
30:36well i am done varnishing it i'm really happy with that looks good and now it just needs to dry

31:07before work had started on the kitchen and dining room oh wow how did you come up with all of this
31:16we planned this years ago so we knew exactly what we wanted i think it's very you like it's really
31:22your colors your style and it's very french and a bit of sweden a little bit of sweden yeah christmas
31:30stars hanging crookedly yeah no but i think it's amazing because it felt like
31:37last time i was wondering when is it what is this and and yeah now it feels like you really
31:43it's really getting somewhere yeah yeah it's been a lot of hard work almost a bit too much but
31:49sometimes and it's so nice that you were here to celebrate with us this is the best this is literally
31:55the best christmas wish their first guests have arrived and they have started to set the scene
32:02but there's still a chateau to blitz with baubles before tomorrow's party
32:12in southern france at chateau de piquant jane and rory's christmas present to themselves has arrived
32:21neighbor and local breeder carina is here with dizzy hey dizzy it's time to meet his new friends penny and harry
32:32yeah oh harry oh harry oh dear i might just go and get them a little treat yep
32:44oh he tried kissing her too quickly not in the first date harry is obviously kind of going oh my god
32:51who's this is this new horse a threat penny seems to be quite chill just like oh okay this could be quite
32:58nice do you want a carrot dizzy everyone's relaxed a little bit i seem to be uh they seem to be getting
33:11the hang of it for rory it is if all his christmases have come at once it's so lovely and exciting to see
33:20them in the stable together and knowing that we can just come down feed the horses oh should we go out
33:25riding today oh why not delightful it feels wonderful to have dizzy here and uh yeah and
33:36the thought of the two us riding out together is it will be a dream come true
33:43with dizzy making himself at home santa's elf rory wants to make things feel a little more merry so i
33:52thought perhaps the horses should have a christmas stocking each into which perhaps rudolph will leave
33:57them a carrot each with many decorations left by the previous owners they both want to brighten up the
34:05stables yeah just a little finishing flourish something a little bit sparkly i thought these would
34:12make uh make uh make a nice little christmasy decoration with a bow perhaps nice big christmasy bow
34:23where would you like the skis of wonder oh yes the skis of wonder brilliant
34:30yeah there that would work christmas appears bright within this lowly stable
34:36and dizzy's arrival calls for a celebration obviously we're going to need some fears some you know
34:43something maybe some some nibbles yeah but um yeah no i think we're ready
34:56as night falls twinkling lights guide the way to the stables
35:01for a spur of the moment soiree with their new neighbors shall we open the fizz absolutely
35:19jane and rory have a new horse new friends and lights to celebrate their first chateau christmas
35:26the future is already beginning to look bright
35:36still to come nicole will secretly come by and just move everything back to how she would like it
35:42will nick and nicole's dining room be party ready in time this is what i'm worried about i'm getting
35:50a lesson in christmas and can stephanie perfect an age-old tradition you might not be learning how
35:57to make mint spice because i don't know what i'm doing you know it's rock and roll well the proof will
36:01be in the eating in central france at chateau de la lande here we go gerald it is pastry time in the
36:16kitchen all is merry and bright with stephanie and gerald making mince pies for the chapel open day
36:24and i made the pastry with bits of orange zest in it so hopefully that'll make it even more delicious
36:31would you say this mince pie is more fruity than meaty uh yes i would gerald because we don't put
36:38meat in mince pies and haven't done so since elizabethan times then why do they call it mince pie
36:44because they used to have mince and i guess people realize that the favorite bit in it was the
36:51sugar and the spices and the fruits and they stopped bothering with the meat you know not only am i
36:55learning how to cook mince pies i'm getting a lesson in christmas in the history to be fair gerald you
37:01might not be learning how to make mince pies because i don't know what i'm doing this is it i'm watching
37:06you do you know it's rock and roll well the proof will be in the eating all wrapped up with cooking
37:14duties stephanie has asked florist marie to help make some festive decorations for the chapel party
37:23i've come out here today to forage some christmas greenery for our events
37:30garland and then i'm doing a christmas wreath
37:34this is exactly what we want this is a classic wintergreen it's fur and it's got two double sides
37:45of color which i adore as a florist and it's just giving that contrast to the christmas garlands
37:54it's really pretty i love this
37:58heading back to her studio marie starts creating
38:04all right so i've got this string up now so that i can make the garland
38:08easily so i'm going to make little bouquets in my hand and we're going to put them around the string
38:15there we are and we take our wire and we pull the wire around the bouquet about two or three rounds
38:25around the greenery smells so good once you start rubbing the greenery all the scent of the greenery
38:33comes out and it really starts smelling like christmas
38:36heavenly festive fragrances are wafting from the kitchen too stephanie
38:48don't say it don't say it gerald what's that i can smell don't say it
38:52team spirit every time every time without fail what do you think is that just the brandy i think it's
38:58brandy oranges and spices and i'm just going to brush them with some egg so they go golden
39:07that's the reason and then we're going to discover where the mince pies should have had
39:12alcoholic raspberries in all along i'm putting them in gerald
39:21with the first batch in the oven marie has cooked up a magical garland we're all done with
39:28making the garland but i have a special uh surprise element we have lights
39:37to brighten up the chapel yeah hopefully they'll like it
39:42look at these gerald and they still smell delicious there we go gerald they came out
39:56it is a miracle thanks a christmas miracle i do think we need to try them don't you
40:03my first moon's pie for this christmas

40:18and the pastry well stephanie we've got a business here
40:22next year the money's going to be rolling in this time next year
40:25it's a christmas recipe for success but with many more batches of mince pies to make
40:35and the chapel to decorate stephanie's still got her work cut out
40:41nearly 200 miles south at nick and nicole's it's the day of their christmas champagne party
40:51we have a lot on the agenda today caroline and i are going to be decorating the mantelpiece
40:57i feel like we're on on track on target although this little guy might derail things you just don't
41:01know hopefully we'll make it in time all the guests arriving
41:10first of all a test drive for noah you can just imagine yourself getting pulled along by some
41:15reindeer how cool would that be wow look at you
41:19oh are you in the sleigh we all all we need now is a reindeer yeah the two dads have been entrusted
41:28with decorating the tree so i can feel free to hang up the ball wherever yes very nice you are in charge
41:38i'm sure what we'll do is we'll basically just put all everything on there and then nicole will
41:44secretly come by and just move everything back to how she would like it especially if you hang it up
41:49like that yeah that's terrible i know no problems so caroline and i are now decorating the mantelpiece
41:57that's our job this is what i'm worried about
42:07for me it's just it's incredibly special having caroline and her family here because
42:11yeah we've we practically grew up together so just having our families come together is
42:19so special so so special
42:24it's like a lost nutcracker in the woods
42:29the tree is dressed to impress and nicole adds the essentials to santa's little sleigh
42:37i do um usually just use uh christmas like beautiful christmas bags because
42:43i find that whenever i give them away they are reduced the next year by somebody else so it's a
42:48much to me it's a much more environmentally friendly way to wrap because these bags live on for years and
42:53years and years and years it's time for her upholstery pièce de résistance to take pride of place at the head of the table
43:05oh wow great work looks amazing i'm really pleased i'm really really pleased much better than the original

43:29they're all people who really matter to us and who you know um you know we're really pleased to
43:41spend some time with and celebrate with it's the best feeling it's such a nice feeling to have people
43:46here with us i think it's amazing it's incredible what they've done especially when you walk into
43:52this room you see it decorated like this it's absolutely gorgeous nick and nicole have transformed
44:00what was an empty bare dining room into a warm inviting space to host family and friends this
44:09christmas an impressive bespoke oak table forms the centerpiece with nicole's upholstered chairs
44:17and ornate lanterns overhead i think we pulled it off didn't we yeah no i'm really pleased and
44:24now all the food we made even stuff that we were doing for the first time actually to pan out but
44:28no this was really nice i'm so happy so yeah i can't wait to do it again and i think we did a
44:32really good job making the place still christmasy you did and there's a mistletoe
44:40nick and nicole's wish has come true they have a finished dining room to enjoy as a family with their
44:47friends and just in time for christmas let the festivities begin
44:58next time stephanie's party plans go awry it's looking as though we'll probably have a vat of
45:07mulled cider and a hundred mince pies to eat by ourselves one couple diy their decorations
45:13here we go there's woody the snowman and this pair challenge themselves to upcycle secret gifts
45:22it doesn't have many legs at the moment so that's not very good
