00:04What up, though?
00:07Hey, everybody, this is Shannon Rucker from Bad Crush, and yes, okay, so I've been making
00:13bags since 2015, and I decided to take my career on another level, and I became a chef
00:21as of last year.
00:22I actually graduated last year.
00:25So now I'm working at Doc's Grill House in St. Clair Shores.
00:29It's only been, it's been in business for about a year, so it's a brand new restaurant, y'all,
00:34so y'all got to go check it out.
00:36It's super dope.
00:38And right now, I'm just excited to be with Natasha.
00:42We're about to do an event next week on the 21st at Oh So Quaint.
00:47It's going to be a Create Sip Shop situation, so you'll be able to stop by my station, and
00:53you'll be able to create, paint one of my bags.
00:56I also do paint with a crush, so you can actually have wearable art that you paint, that I sketch
01:02the art on, and you paint.
01:03Yes, yes.
01:04And you get to take it home.
01:04And they're beautiful, too.
01:05It's really, really dope.
01:07Beautiful.
01:07So I'm going to have some of my bags on sale.
01:10It's going to be a big, big sale, y'all, so y'all have to come check it out.
01:13You've got to say, you're not going to, this is the best and biggest shopping experience

01:26And anytime you're with the tribe, it's just nothing but love.
01:30It's just love all over the place.
01:32It's laughter all over the place.
01:34It's silly vibes.
01:35It almost makes you feel like you're kind of like in high school again, but with the
01:39good vibes.
01:39Yes.
01:40You know, no bullying, no anybody's better than anyone.
01:43We're all in a space just simply enjoying.
01:46And most of you guys have come to a Being That Girl Experience event.
01:51So y'all know that it's a vibe every time.
01:54Every time.
01:55Every time.
01:56It is not one where we miss, you know?
01:58So this FIP Shop and Create Beauty Experience that we're going to be hosting at Oh So Quaint,
02:05which is co-founded by myself and one of my great friends, Nicole Jones, who's also the
02:11founder of Evolve Style Studio.
02:13And we're right next door to each other.
02:16And we put a lot of effort into Oh So Quaint and being able to make it a hub for creatives,
02:25for friends, for love, for joy.
02:28It's Quaint exactly for that.
02:30So we're going to transform that and we're going to lend our vibes to the community.
02:35And we're going to create some really dope gifts.
02:37We're going to have some so many laughs.
02:40We never we can't go anywhere in any space without laughing.
02:44OK, I don't want to be there.
02:45If I can't laugh at the time, I don't want to come.
02:48Yes, always laughing.
02:49Yes, always laughing.
02:50And then we got dope fashion.
02:52But we not only we have fashion, we have herbs.
02:55We have a link that's coming out.
02:57So on your weavers, they have a company called Link where you're able to create custom
03:04bracelets where you're linked with your girls forever is such a dope experience.
03:09So you're going to really experience a lot of different exhibitors, creatives, entrepreneurs,
03:17enjoy sisterhood.
03:18It is for youth and adults.
03:20Like we want this to be something very unforgettable.
03:23This is for all forgettable.
03:24This is for all ages, Lori.
03:26Yes.
03:27You say this happened in when on the 21st, December the 21st from 11 to nine.
03:32And we're taking it back.
03:32Y'all remember on the malls were open until 9 p.m.
03:35Yeah, we're clowning.
03:36We're going to open it.
03:37We're going to stay open until nine.
03:38Oh, y'all cutting up.
03:39Oh, y'all cutting up.
03:41Y'all cutting up.
03:42So not only do you get a chance to create, you get a chance to network, be around like-minded
03:46women, empowering.
03:48I want to be there.
03:49At this point, this is an opportunity that you don't want to miss because when this comes
03:53around, you don't want to just let this pass you by.
03:56No.
03:56Because I feel like we need more events like this.
03:59So when I hear stuff like this, it just makes my heart smile.
04:02Yes.
04:02Because come on, let's get together.
04:05Let's communicate.
04:06Let's network.
04:07Let's make beautiful moments.
04:09Yes.
04:10And nothing more, nothing less.
04:11And then, not only so, Kiana Martin over here.
04:15Okay, let's talk about it, Kiana.
04:15She's going to be with us on December the 21st as well.
04:20And she brought in some of the goodies.
04:22Can we please get a photo op of these items there today?
04:26Yes, you got to put them up.
04:26Put them up so we can look at it.
04:28Go ahead and walk around with us.
04:30You got to give us a little twirl in the studio.
04:33Like, pass it around.
04:35So, Kiana, please can you tell us about the name of your business and the things that you specialize in?
04:41Yeah, pass it around.
04:42Give us a pass around.
04:44Like, she's trying to hold out on the goods, guys.
04:46And you're going to be able to make these things at the shop, FIP, and Create at Oh So Quaint.
04:56And look at this, guys.
04:58If you're in the studios, these are routes that they'll be able to actually make during the event or purchase.
05:06Not only are you able to make, you're also able to purchase.
05:10So, it's not necessarily if you don't have the time to be at a, you know, to work at a creative station to create your own gift or item.
05:23But, you know, you'll also be able to just purchase.
05:26And, you know, that's the beautiful thing.
05:28And we cannot, I can't even tell you guys that how they started, which was with You Drink, I Make.
05:37You Drink, I Make.
05:39Shout out to Mary Harvin and You Care, I Make.
05:43Who will be in the building on December the 21st?
05:45My girl, it will definitely be there with the mobile bartender.
05:48We got hot cocoa.
05:49We have drinks.
05:50We're making drinks together.
05:52If you ever wanted to make a drink professionally, she's going to guide you through the process in our You Drink, I Make station.
05:59We have candle making.
06:01Oh, my gosh.
06:02Look at the thinner pieces.
06:03And they're not passing everything to me.
06:05At this point, I'm also hosting the show, guys.
06:08What up, though, Detroit?
06:09What it do?
06:13Lori got captivated in the gifts pack all week.
06:17And you got it, right?
06:18Yes.
06:20Yes.
06:20I'm not buying one.
06:23Isn't this so?
06:24I'm fangirling out right now.
06:27This is what you want.
06:28Please, what if you want to see a portrait?
06:29Now, you guys, look at the dominoes.
06:32I love these.
06:33The custom dominoes is crazy.
06:36I'm going to keep running.
06:37Wait.
06:38Yes.
06:39You know what I'm saying?
06:40And that comes in a...
06:41Okay, guys.
06:42So we...
06:42Oh, do this.
06:42Did they say a pain with a twist?
06:44Why are we...
06:45I'm sorry.
06:46We're going to make these?
06:47I'm back.
06:47We're making these, Lori.
06:49That is gorgeous.
06:51You have to be there.
06:53At this point, you're missing a movement.
06:55You're missing a moment.
06:57I really want this.
06:58Like, I actually would like to take this home.
07:00Listen.
07:01I'm sold on the Lions one.
07:02So you're able to make this.
07:04If you're able to make it.
07:05Did I see the Lions one?
07:06Yes.
07:06The Lions, yep.
07:07Ugh.
07:07I'm sold on that.
07:08I think I might buy that before we leave out of here today.
07:11Yes.
07:11Like, we have to show the Lions.
07:13We have to show the Lions.
07:13But the thing, you can make things like this.
07:15So you're making and purchasing these.
07:17Yes.
07:17That's a beautiful thing.
07:19So not only you get a chance to learn, but you can do this and do this at home.
07:22Yeah.
07:22Like, you can take this and you can really do something with it.
07:25So the name of my business is Yaya's Variety Shop.
07:28And as you can see, I have a variety of crafts that I do.
07:32Yes.
07:33I make home decor.
07:35I make dominoes.
07:38I make whatever you can think of.
07:43If I can imagine it, I can craft it.
07:46Right.
07:46Your own color.
07:47I can customize it.
07:48Your own colors.
07:49Your own vision.
07:49I can bring it to light.
07:51I started my business in 2022 during COVID.
07:54I was working at the time, but my family wasn't.
07:58My husband and my son.
08:01So when I got out of work, every day we would play dominoes.
08:04So, of course, I go to YouTube University.
08:06I'm bored.
08:07Yes.
08:08I go to YouTube University and I learn how to make custom dominoes.
08:13Get past them.
08:14Detroit is in the building.
08:16You have them past them.
08:18Yes.
08:20I can make dominoes.
08:22I showed them on there.
08:23Oh, okay.
08:24Shoes, wreaths.
08:26So, you know, anything.
08:27I love that.
08:28And we'll have everything.
08:29You can customize some of this at the Create Shop Sip event on the 21st.
08:37I'll have some things that you can customize.
08:40I love that.
08:40I love that.
08:41So, I really love it because it's a variety.
08:43Normally, when you go, you think of painting with a twist and stuff.
08:45You know, it's only going to be a selective things you could choose from.
08:47Maybe one or two ideas.
08:48Because this is pandemonium.
08:52This is game changing.
08:54Like, don't be surprised if somebody take your ideas.
08:56I just love this.
08:58Okay.
08:58Make sure you copyright and everything.
08:59Get all your rights.
09:01Because, baby, you're doing something.
09:03This is something that's going to be bringing the community together.
09:07This is fly.
09:08And I want to be clear.
09:09This isn't.
09:09This is limited space only.
09:11So, those who want to.
09:13Why you got to go ahead and.
09:13I'm sorry.
09:14I hate to be the one to break the news.
09:16You got to bust the bubble.
09:17Oh, so quaint, you know.
09:18So, we're looking for.
09:21It's going to be a quaint crowd as well, right?
09:24So, you have to get a ticket in order to attend.
09:27And the tickets are free at bookosoquaint.com.
09:30Oh, that means they're really going fast, y'all.
09:32As well as.
09:33Hurry up.
09:33We have VIP tickets that allows individuals to skip the line.
09:38Which is $20.
09:40So, they can purchase those VIP tickets.
09:42And at every station, they're allowed to pay each exhibitor for whether they're creating or purchasing.
09:48They're working directly with those tribe members that we're bringing in.
09:52And so, you get to choose what you want.
09:54We'll have a full buffet brought to us by U Drink, I Make, as well as a full bar, including mocktails, cocoa, coffee, tea.
10:03Oh, shout out to U Drink.
10:04I love that.
10:04As well.
10:05You already know.
10:06You know.
10:07We heavy.
10:08It's a tribe thing.
10:08It's a tribe thing.
10:09If you see one, you're going to see them all at every event.
10:12Exactly.
10:12Exactly.
10:13We stick together on here.
10:14We stick together.
10:16I love that.
10:16And I love that.
10:17And that's what the agency is about.
10:19Everyone thought when I first launched Being That Girl that it was just about a fashion line.
10:24Well, really, the world just watched me create, over a 10-year span, an ecosystem.
10:28An ecosystem that has allowed for me to bring women of all walks of life from here through just internationally.
10:36Even our tribe out in the UK, Trisha Scott with the female CEO, she allows for me to spotlight the women in our tribe, you know, there with full articles and introductions to other women across the world who can help create and make a dream come true or an initiative.
10:57I love really dope women, period.
10:59I love working with them and collaborating with them.
11:03And I love also helping make dreams come true, like being the anchor and helping each of these women from building their websites to helping them with PR and media, recruitment, project management.
11:18We create initiatives and we collaborate together.
11:21We travel together.
11:22But it's really only good things.
11:25Like we don't do, we don't, we don't have any wild things happening behind the scenes about, except how we about to make something happen.
11:32Like, did y'all get those emails out?
11:35All right.
11:36That's our beef.
11:37Y'all ain't sending an email.
11:39Okay.
11:40Listen, that's how you made a community.
11:42Yes.
11:43I love that.
11:43I love that.
11:44I'm really excited.
11:45So you say it's going down December 21st.
11:48Where can they go again to get those tickets?
11:49Where should they be?
11:51What time?
11:51Okay.
11:52What can they bring?
11:53So we have December the 21st at Oh So Quaint, bookohsoquaint.com.
12:00We'll also have the Treasure Within nonprofit organization with us with their girls and mentors that day who will be spending the first three hours with us with their youth and their parents and their mentors who's coming to experience it.
12:14But it's also available to the public for you guys to, you know, stop by, make sure you support the exhibitors.
12:21Make sure you support the tribe.
12:23And it's going to be from 11 a.m.
12:26Until 9 p.m.
12:28All day.
12:28That means you don't got no excuse not to come, not to pull up.
12:31No excuse.
12:32You can leave and pull up.
12:33Yes.
12:33Yes.
12:34Anything.
12:34Leave, come back.
12:35Drop off the kids.
12:36Bring the kids.
12:37Come.
12:37All of that.
12:38All of that.
12:39All of that.
12:39And we want you guys to subscribe to Iam-thatgirl.com for continued news about the tribe and the agency and the things that we're doing.
12:46Yes.
12:46But in order to get a ticket for this event, I want to be clear, it is limited space.
12:52I can't say that enough.
12:53And we hate when we have to turn people away at the door because we have to all the time.
12:56That's why I hated you had to say it.
12:57I'm like, dang.
12:58But I know it got to be said.
12:59It has to be said.
13:00It does.
13:01So if you don't have a ticket, you can't come.
13:04Okay.
13:05You have to RSVP.
13:07We have to control the traffic.
13:09Okay.
13:09Especially in Growth Point, we know Growth Point, Michigan, plays no games, you know.
13:14So we play no games at our venue.
13:16Okay.
13:17Get there early.
13:17And my partner, Nicole, does not play any games.
13:21So we want to make sure that we get the tickets, okay, offline.
13:28They are limited.
13:30So we can't necessarily say exactly how many people will be in attendance, but I will let you know that if you don't have a ticket, you can't come.
13:38I can't strengthen them up.
13:38Okay.
13:38Listen, it's going to be crowded.
13:41It's going to probably be elbow to elbow.
13:42You make sure you get there.
13:43No, for real, though.
13:45I love that.
13:46I'm really excited.
13:47I always love what you're doing, Natasha.
13:49You always do beautiful things.
13:50Always bringing the community together and making it bigger and bigger.
13:54Okay.
13:55So I'm excited.
13:55I love that for you.
13:56I love that for everybody.
13:57Yes.
13:58I can't wait.
13:58I wish you guys nothing but success.
14:00You got to make sure you guys shout out to social medias.
14:03Everybody.
14:04Make sure you get a shout out.
14:05We want to know your businesses again.
14:07Let us know.
