00:00Grammys were held last night.
00:02Let's talk about some big winners.
00:04It looks like Shibuzi and Jelly Roll took home the Grammy for Best Country Duo Performance for Amen.
00:11Best Traditional Country Album Winner.
00:14Traditional Country Album Winner went to Zach Topp.
00:17Love it.
00:18Ain't in it for my health.
00:19Best Solo Performance went to Chris Stapleton, Bad As I Used To Be.
00:22The Contemporary Country Album Winner was Jelly Roll's Beautifully Broken.
00:27And the Contemporary Christian Performance Grammy went to Jelly and Brandon Lake for Hard Fought Hallelujah.
00:32Oh, so cool.
00:33So he was a big winner and he was really busy because he, well, this was his acceptance speech for the album.
00:43There was days that I thought the darkest things.
00:45I was a horrible human.
00:46There was a moment in my life that all I had was a Bible this big and a radio the same size and a six by eight foot cell.
00:52And I believed that those two things could change my life.
00:54I believed that music had the power to change my life and God had the power to change my life.
00:59And I want to tell y'all right now, Jesus is for everybody.
01:03Jesus is not owned by one political party.
01:06Jesus is not owned by no music label.
01:08Jesus is Jesus and anybody can have a relationship with him.
01:12I love you, Lord.
01:13Pretty amazing stuff.
01:15Yeah.
01:15So, you know, we hear Jelly preach, as he often does.
01:20And, you know, we all go to the church at Jelly Roll, right?
01:22Like, he's always doing it.
01:24But he did what few of his contemporaries did last night.
01:28He was asked in the press room backstage about the current state of politics.
01:32And Jelly refused to answer.
01:37Wow.
01:37He said, people shouldn't care to hear about my opinion because I'm just a dumb redneck.
01:41I hate to be the artist that sounds aloof, but I just feel so disconnected from what's happening right now.
01:46He was like, you know, when you're when you grew up in a drug addicted house, you have no idea what's going on in Washington.
01:53So I'm not the right person to ask right now, but he did say that everyone will be hearing exactly what he has to say in the most loud and clear way that he has ever spoken in his life within the next couple of weeks.
02:09Whoa.
02:10So something big is brewing right now with Jelly Roll.
